∆ ROYAL COLLEGE ~ NEXT DAY ∆

“Can’t believe we get to start college today” Alice said in excitement as s along with Joanna walk into the school.

“I still think you should have stayed home to recuperate” Joanna said more slowly.

“Common! Are you going to lecture me like Kylie, now that he’s gone off to park the car, you’ve taken it upon yourself to continue where he stopped ” Alice said.

“Am sorry if I sound like a grandma to you” Joanna said feeling offended and immediately Alice hug-ged her.

“Hey, I was just joking and to be sincere I feel fine and it’s all thanks to Pierce who saved me. So stop being worried” Alice said letting Joanna go only to stand in front of her.

“I feel great” Alice said loudly just as her back collided into someone and she would have fallen if he hadn’t held onto her.

“Did someone ever tell you that you are a walking disaster? ” Pierce asked still having his hand on her wa-istand immediately Alice pulled away from him.

“Since Pierce has something to say to you, you don’t mind if I take my girlfriend with me right?'” Francis asked pulling Joanna off before Alice could stop him.

Seeing him made her remember what Joanna had said about the kis-s and feeling a bit flustered she tried to leave only for him to pull her back.

“I want to talk to you” Pierce said and immediately she pulled her hand out of his.

“I also have some thing to say to you” she said putting a bit of distance between them by moving back and Pierce didn’t fail to notice it.

“Am sorry about last night ”

“Thanks for last night” they both said at the same time.

“You go first ” Alice said wondering why she thought him to be very handsome today.

“Well about last night and the way I spoke to you, am sorry about it. I was a bit angry and I took out the anger on you” Pierce said earning a soft smile from her.

“It’s okay, am glad you realise your mistake and also you shouldn’t always bottle in what’s bothering you. It tends to make someone feel lonely, you’ve got friends and if you can’t talk to them about it, you should…..”

“I think that’s enough! There’s one thing for me to apologise and another for you to start analyzing me, I don’t like it” Pierce said feeling angry at her for being able to guess his inner thoughts.

“Fine then! Am sorry ” Alice replied feeling angry herself and when she turned to leave, he took hold of her hand.

“Am sorry I just….”

“You know what your problem is? You don’t want people getting close to you, you don’t want them knowing how vulnerable you are under that thick skin of yours and if they do somehow penet-rate the walls you’ve ere-ct for yourself, you send them off by insulting them or by being rude to them” Alice said pulling her hand out of his.

“Am done! I quit trying to be one of those who want to help break that great wall you’ve built around yourself. From now onwards pretend you don’t know me cause I will be doing that” Alice said before storming off.

Pierce who stood watching her leave wondered why he felt hurt at hearing her say those things.

∆ LATER THAT DAY ∆

Dressed and ready for an outing with Mirabel, Joanna left the house with Alice trailing behind her.

“Did Mirabel really ask you to join her at the club?” Alice asked.

“Yes. She’s been feeling down about the thing with Nicholas and so she wants to cool off a bit and I won’t blame her if she choose to do that at a club” Joanna said.

“Why don’t you let me come with you” Alice said.

“No! You’ve got to rest and besides I can’t keep Mirabel waiting any longer, see you later” Joanna said as she waved Alice off.

The taxi stop in front of a Club and Joanna got out of the car looking for a sign of Mirabel and when there was none, she called Mirabel but she didn’t pick.

She was about going into the club in search of her when she got a text from Mirabel.

★ AM SORRY JOJO, SOME THING CAME UP AND I CAN’T COME TO THE CLUB. SORRY IF I MADE YOU LEAVE HOME WITH OUT a PRIOR WARNING★ Joanna sighed as she read her text.

This isn’t like Mirabel? She had texted her to join her in this club and now this.

Joanna was about hailing a taxi intent on going to see Mirabel at her hostel when she heard her name being called.

It was getting dark and it took a while before Joanna could identify the person walking towards her.

“What a lovely surprise ” Linda said.

“Same here, I came because I was invited by Mirabel and since she won’t be coming, I should better leave” Joanna said and quickly Linda took hold of her arm.

“You can’t leave without seeing the club and even if Mirabel stood you up, you can still have fun on your own” Linda said.

“I don’t really fit in this sort of place” Joanna said but Linda was adamant.

“Common, it will be fun. I promise you” Linda said as she succeeds in pulling Joanna into the club.

∆ THE NEXT DAY ~ ROYAL COLLEGE ∆

Due to her not having an early morning cla-ss, Joanna got to school in the afternoon.

She was sending a message to Mirabel since she didn’t get to see her yesterday when a message pop on her screen.

She cli-ck on it and what she saw next was a picture of her and an unknown guy on a bed.

“What’s this?” She murmured as more pictures of herself and the unknown guy, na-kedon the bed kept dropping into her phone.

Joanna was still shocked by the whole thing when she heard someone calling her from behind.

“Joanna baby” she turned only to see the guy in the picture walking towards her, a guy she’s never seen before.

“Am glad I came around this time cause I wanted to see you again and since I didn’t get your number last night and….”

“Who are you?” Joanna asked moving back when he made to touch her.

“Who am I? What do you mean?” He asked pulling her towards him.

“Let me go” she said trying to pull her hand out of his but his hold was strong.

“So you are trying to play ha-rd to get when you were all willing last night. Don’t try to ruin what we have together cause it was fun and exciting for us both, I want to hold your na-kedbody in mine and bury myself de-ep into you while I ….”

“Let go of my girlfriend!” Francis yelled suddenly which got them pulling apart.

Joanna watch as Francis made his way towards them glaring at her.

“I thought the pictures might be a lie but seeing you with him, the guy whom you supposedly spend the night with has got me thinking other wise. Care to explain?” Francis asked glaring at her.

She didn’t know how to explain since it’s impossible for her to be the girl in the picture but the person beside the stranger on the bed is clearly her.

What happened last night?
