” Jesu christo ” Pierre said in shock and I chuckled as Adonis chocked on the glass of wine .

” You are dating again ? You leonardo Delgado ? Pierre asked dramatically.

” What spell did Imani cast on you ? Because I thought you had decided to die single ” Pierre said and Adonis burst into laughter.

” Why have you guys decided to embarrass me ? I asked frowning as they laughed.

” You still haven’t answered the question man ,what spell did she cast on you ? He asked teasingly.

” I’ll be a fool if I don’t ask her out ,I’m into that girl and it’s beginning to drive me insane with the whole pretend stuff ”

” The way she calls me sir frustrates the living day lights out of me ” I said with a chuckle.

” I can see you are happy man ,you have our full support ” Adonis laughed.

” Have you guys talked about intimacy ? Pierre asked .

” We just stared dating ,besides I don’t want to rush her into anything” i said and they teased me again .

I shook my head at their madness.

My mind went back to what happened in the kitchen early this morning ,she made noodles and we ate together before going back to bed .

Her soft body cuddled against mine had me sleeping in no time .

I even woke up late .

I’m meeting the guys for lunch right now and telling them we are finally dating has made me the object of all their teasings.

I received a text from my Dad and I ran my fingers in my hair immediately .

” I gotta go guys ” i said shaking hands with the both of them .

“Sure man ,I’m heading to Atlanta , just waiting for jace . His wife was sick. ” Adonis said and I gave a nod.

Jace was his personal pilot and I’m sure he stayed this long because of the guy being sick .

He trusted no one with his safety ,after all being rich came with a lot of disadvantages too .

Enemies and all . As my driver drove towards my Dad’s my I frowned in annoyance.

What does he want from me again .

Why can’t he understand the fact that I can’t have anything to do with Abigail or whatever her name was .

I’ve never liked the mafia life and even if I wasn’t Dating Imani ,I still wouldn’t have agreed to the alliance with Abigail .

I’ve tried to dig information about her and nothing seems to be popping up .

It’s like she has never existed and that’s the most annoying part .

” We have arrived sir ” Joma said as he walked over to the other side and opened the door for me .

I stepped out in annoyance as I took long strides into the mansion .

Erduardo’s mom saw me approaching and her eyes lit up in excitement .

” Nardo dear ” she called happily as she walked towards me.

The way she called my name with her Asian accent had me frowning.

” Good afternoon Yuri . I’m here to see Padre ” I said and her eyes softened in my direction.

” Nardo …” She trailed .

” Yuri please “I said and she took a long breath in and out.

” He is in a meeting at the garden area ,I’m sure they are expecting you ” she said moving out of my way .

I walked towards the garden and as I approached them ,I noticed Erduardo was present .

My Dad ,Mr Vasquez ,a young lady and my uncle Roberto .

” Good afternoon ” I greeted everyone as I sat down .

” You are late Nardo ,we have been waiting for you ” He said and I didn’t say a word .

I raised my eyebrows and they met with the girl at the other end .

One look at her and she had the most captivating set of eyes .

Forest green and hazel ,her nose and striking beauty made me realize why her father Mr Vasquez was putting her up for the highest bidder.

She was his Asset .

” Camila Vasquez ” she said extending her hand towards my direction.

” Leonardo Delagdo” I said without taking her hand.

Erduardo leaned on the chair as he chuckled in her direction .

I thought the name was Abigail ,I wondered without saying a word .

” We talked about your Alliance with Abigail Leonardo ” Dad said calmly .

” And I said clearly that I’m not getting married to Camila Abigail Vasquez whatever her name is ” I snapped.

” No offense Abigail but I’m in a relationship ,this whole mafia thing is not my life ,let’s not complicate things for each other . Besides Erduardo is his favorite son why can’t they get you Married to him ” I said and Erduardo stared at me .

” Really Leonardo ? He asked raising his eyebrows.

” Did you invite me here to embarrass and insult me Sebastiano ? Mr Vasquez asked Angrily.

” You decided to embarrass yourself and your daughter Mr Vasquez ,I had clearly stated the fact that I do not want to get married to Camila . Your greediness caused all this unecessary drama ” I said and my Dad stared at me in anger .

If glares could kill ,I will be six feet under the ground.

” It’s okay if he doesn’t want to marry me Padre ,I’m not eager to get married either ” the girl said almost in relief that I regected the offer .

” Keep quiet Camila” Her Dad snapped angrily and she fell silent immediately .

” Let us go ” he said getting up angrily as they stormed out together.

” You are starting a war with me Leonardo ,I will not tolerate your stubbornness ! ” Padre said in annoyance.

” I’m not stubborn ,I refuse to enter a loveless marriage to please you and your selfish desires ,I am my own person father and the earlier you realize that the better it will be for the both of us ” I said angrily.

” Erduardo you sit there and listen to him talk to me in that manner! ” Dad fired Angrily at Erduardo.

” I refuse to be caught in between father and son Padre ” Erduardo said calmly .

” Oh really , good very good . I will deal with the both of you ” Dad said before storming out of the table.

” I wanted to talk to you ..” Erduardo said and I turned .

” We have nothing to talk about Erduardo ” I said with both hands tucked in my pocket.

” Before I forget , I want you to stay out of my life Erduardo . Imani is a part of my life and I don’t want your dangerous lifestyle to be a threat to her life. ” I said Calmly.

” You make it sound like I’m the devil or something ,
Imani and I are just friends” he said and I shook my head .

” You are not the kind of friend Imani needs , the next in line to the biggest crime family in this side of the world should not be her friend . ” I said and he pinched the bridge of his nose .

” Why do you hate me Leonardo , I agree I’m a bad guy . I’ve done a lot of bad things which includes fvcking Layla but that doesn’t mean…’ he trailed .

” That’s it , fvcking Layla . That’s the reason I can never bring myself to trust you ,even if Layla was willing ,you are my brother . Step brother or not ,you ought to have my back . ”

” Yet you had your opportunity and you used it ,same thing will take place if Imani was irresponsible . ” I said and he didn’t say a word after that .

” I guess nothing I say will make any sense ,so it’s best to keep the dog sleeping” he said and I turned around and left the garden .

” Are you leaving already Leonardo ? Yuri tried to make a conversation but I walked passed her and out of my Dad’s mansion .

Things with Layla happened in the past but trusting Erduardo is something I don’t see happening in the nearest future .

Not now not ever .

” We are real now ” I said bitting my lower lip as my girls squiled happily.

” Now that’s more like it girl …” Avy said shaking her butts dramatically as Tega slapped it over and over .

” Ashewo ! ” They hailed .

” Stopppp I didn’t make the first move though ” I said blushing.

” You have succeeded in using your big buttom to confuse son of man ” Tega said and I laughed.

” I’m so happy for you girl ,Tegs and I ,will take each other out for a drink to celebrate this win ” Avy said and I raised my eyebrows.

” Win ? I asked in confusion.

” Ehen now , We thought you wanted to become a Nun ,you refused to get into any relationship not even a sexual relationship . Is that not a Nun ” Tega asked in Nigerian accent .

” The drinking like it’s a big celebration is what is confusing me ” I said and Avy laughed.

” You know we love to party ! Let’s go and dance away the night ”

” Dem gon feel it 🎶 She screamed dramatically.

” Are you happy ? Tega asked after laughing for a while.

” Yeah , I’m still nervous because of the many differences between the both of us. He’s Spanish ,I’m African . He’s rich and I’m well middle class …the list goes on ” I trailed .

” But I think he’s worth it Tegs,it’s hight time I leave my comfort zone and give myself a chance to be happy ” I said and she gave a nod .

” That’s my girl , just be happy . Don’t worry I’ll call Leon and threaten him ,if he hurts our potato ,we will cross the mighty ocean to murder him ” she said and Avery hyped her dramatically.

” I miss you guys so much ” I said smiling.

” I think Avy has a show coming up next month , if we are free after the wedding I’m planning next month ,we might come visit ” she said and I squiled happily.

” Might ”

” The keyword there baby ,it’s under probability” i said and she shook her head .

” Who cares ” i said playfully.

” It’s not up to 24 house and my girl is already glowing ” Avy said as she walked back to the call while munching an apple.

” I’ll get back to the both of you ” I said and cut the call .

I changed into a white top and pink Short which I paired with room slippers as I strolled out Leon walked in .

” Mi Riena ” he called and my heart skipped a bit at my handsome boyfriend.

I can’t believe we are finally dating for real ,I mean I always thought it impossible and it’s real .

” Treasure ” called as I walked over to him ,got on my tiptoes and kissed him ,he kissed me back .

” This short is tempting , I don’t like it , people will stare ” he said and I laughed.

” Had anyone told you ,you are a possessive man ” I asked as he hugged me from behind and kissed my cheeks.

‘” you can’t blame me ,I’m dating a goddess ” he said and I chuckled.

” Let’s go out “he whispered softly.

” Like right now ? I asked shocked .

” Yup and mom said I should tell you she has gone to see her maternal family and will be back by the weekend ” he said and I looked at him suprised.

” She travelled ? I saw her this morning and she said nothing about it ” I said to which he chuckled.

‘” it was an emergency ,she had to leave from where she went ” he explained.

” Is it something we should be worried about ? I asked to which he shook his head .

” No ”

” Okay ” I muttered under my breath .

” Let me quickly change ” i said hurrying upstairs as he scrolled through his phone.

I changed into a free pattern dress and white wedges.

Tieing my hair in a messy bun and picking my phone ,I carried my black bag and tucked my phone in .

” You look gorgeous Mi Luz {my light } ” he said and I raised my eyebrows.

” A new one ” I asked and he chuckled.

” A new what ? He asked joining our hands as we walked out together.

” You know what I’m talking about don’t you dare play ignorant” I said and he laughed.

” What does it mean ? I asked staring at his preety eyes .

” I don’t know” he said playfully.

” Leonardo ” I said stumping my feet .

” My light ”

” What ? ” I asked stuttering from the shock .

” It means my light baby ” he said and I blushed red .
