🌿LEONARDO

I rubbed my cheek that hurt like hell from her assault on my face .

I pinched the bridge of my nose in frustration .

What was I thinking when I said those words to her ? Fvck

And the way she kicked me out of the car and left me here all by myself .

I checked the pocket of my pants and cursed under my breath .

I raised my hand and made a phone call with my watch .

” Hey man what’s up ,we have been waiting for the both of you for more than 30 mins now ” Pierre said immediately he picked.

” I’ll send you an address , Please come pick me up ” I said and ended the call .

After a while he drove to the place parked the car and stared at me in confusion.

” What’s going on ? Why are you here alone ? Where is Imani ? He asked immediately.

” Can we not talk about it now , Please”I said camly .

” Let’s just hope you haven’t messed things up” he sighed and focused on driving.

When we got to Adonis mansion he raised his eyebrows as he walked towards us .

” What Happened ? He asked noticing I wasn’t with the person whom he had hosted dinner for .

” Who fought ” i said and Pierre Chuckled.

” You fought with Imani ? He asked in amusement.

” What’s funny ? I asked annoyed .

” Was that why you stood there alone ? He asked.

” She drove away leaving me there alone ,I guess I deserved it considering the things I said to her ” I said pinching the bridge of my nose .

” What did you say to her ? Adonis asked Calmly.

I went ahead to explain everything ,how my men had reported her movements and my outburst.

‘ Erduardo ” Pierre sighed .

” You burst out on Imani because of Erduardo ? He asked frowning..

” I couldn’t control my Emotions ” i said softly.

” I don’t think Eduardo wants to sleep with Imani ,even if he wants to that girl is not someone to sleep around with rich guys or anyone else . A girl that could control herself around you ,what makes you think she will fall for the likes of Duardo ? He asked frowning.

” I trust her ..I just …” I said in regret .

” You let your trust issues get the better of you ,that’s just sad ” Pierre said frowning.

” Does she even know her way back home ? Adonis asked and I gave a nod.

” That’s why I never wanted to date anyone ,I’m ruined guys. I hurt Imani tonight …” I trailed off in pannick.

” That’s because you like her a lot Leonardo ,stop freaking out . Talk to Imani tell her how you feel and the reason for your outburst and I believe you owe the girl an apology ,you messed up ‘ Pierre said and I’ve never seen him so mad at me before .

” I’m sorry ” I apologized.

” You are a good guy leonardo ,you care for people who are close to your heart and that’s what makes you special. But your anger issues is something that takes grace to be tolerated” he said and Adonis just drank from his glass instead .

” This whole thing is supposed to be fake , I’m so into that girl now and I feel so stupid . After what happened this evening ,I won’t be suprised if she wants to cut things off with me” I said in regret .

” You can never say never ,and learn to control yourself . Not every girl is Layla ” Adonis patted my back and I gave a nod in understanding.

I bid them goodbye after apologising to Adonis for ruining the plans for tonight.

I called joma who came to pick me up from Adonis place .

Walking into the Delgado mansion ,I felt even more terrible for the hurtful words I said to her .

They where just so mean and uncalled for .

Worse thing is she might have gone to bed in an empty stomach .

When I got into the room she was asleep on the bed .

My eyes trailed the transparent Nightwear which she wore .

It was white in color and although she looked innocent ,there was nothing about the thin fabric on her skin .

Her lips and swollen eyes gave away the fact that she was crying quiet badly .

I walked over to where she slept as my heart squeezed in hurt .

Staring at her long lashes that kissed her face and her beautiful lips and button nose .

” I’m sorry Mi Cielo ” I whispered softly as I kissed her forehead.

I couldn’t sleep next to her ,not after what I put her through.

I might look perfect on the outside ,but deep down ,I know I come with a lot of baggage after what I’ve been through .

Loosing Imani will make me loose my mind and that is something I have realized after our fight this evening.

Her shaking voice and tears rushed into my mind and I cursed under my breath.

I went to my office to keep myself busy with office work after freshening up and wearing a sweatpant and room slippers .

I made a glass of coffee and got busy with office work .

Driving back to the Delgado mansion after my fight with Lee , I cried my eyes out in the process of crying my phone rang and it was mom .

I sat up straight and picked up .

” Iya ” I muttered under my breath, trying to hide the fact that I was crying badly .

” Imani dear I’m sure it’s night over there already ,I just miss you a lot dear ” she said happily and that made me super emotional as I sniffed .

” I miss you mom ” I said as I cried .

I couldn’t help it ,I just wanted to wrapped under her embrace right now .

” Let me guess Ayomi ,you had a fight with your boyfriend? She asked and my jaws literally just dropped.

” Iya it’s not like that …” I trailed .

” Shushh ,it’s normal for couples to have these fights .do you know how many times I cried when your dad and I were courting ? Quiet guys like that are hard to date ” she said and I can imagine her shaking her head to that narrative.

” But that doesn’t mean you guys should break up . It’s all about maturity ” she adviced.

” Talk things out with him okay. Did he lay his hands on you ? She asked.

” No ,Lee will never do that , infact I slapped him ” i said in regret .

” You slapped a man ? He is a man Imani ” she scolded .

” He hurt me with his words ma ” i said defending my actions.

” Physical violence should be exempted ,there are other ways to iron it out. Same way you won’t like a man hitting you ,you shouldn’t hit him first too” she scolded .

” I’m sorry Iya ” I apologized.

” make sure you guys talk things out. You know you fall sick when you cry too much ” she scolded .

” Mommm” I whinned softly as she laughed.

A smile graced my lips too as we talked for a while she ended the call .

I slept off and then I woke up at night due to the constant grumbling of my stomach.

I couldn’t sleep anymore, checking the time it was just 2:am in the morning .

” I’m so hungry” i muttered under my breath as I wore my room slippers and tied my robe properly.

Getting to the kitchen ,I opened the cupboards and got busy with whipping an early breakfast before I faint .

I heard strolling sounds and when I turned ,I came face to face with my boyfriend.

There he was looking sexy as ever .

He looked stressed out ,but I noticed he had his reading glasses on and his pen hung in between his ear and his head .

” Good morning mi Riena” he said and I sighed softly at him .

” Can we talk ? He asked before his eyes moved to the instant noodles on the table .

” You didn’t eat anything last night ” he asked and I stared at him.

” How could I ? My heart was hurt ,so hurt the food would have hung on my throat ” I said and he smiled.

” I’m sorry , I had no rights to judge on your character like that ,or compare you to Layla . I will admit I wasn’t thinking straight” he said sincerely.

” Eddy and Layla hurt you Leonardo I’m not them. Those words you said to me made me feel so cheap” I said as my voice shook at the edge .

” I’m sorry ..okay . I just lost my mind when they told me you exchanged numbers with him and even talked for long . My insecurities arose immediately” he said baring his heart open .

” I don’t like Eduardo ,I mean he’s nice and all but he is not someone I would want to have anything with Lee. He seems like someone to commit a lot of crime even if he has been nice to me .

His tatoos scare me ‘ I said in one go .

” Besides I already like someone ” I said and he stared at me in shock ..

” Oh. ..” he muttered under his breath .

” Who is that ? He asked walking closer to me .

” That’s non of your business ” i said playfully .

” It Should be my business considering the things you do to me ” he said and my heart beat crazily against my chest .

” Wh …at ” I stuttered out in shock .

” I like you ,I want you , infact what I feel for you goes beyond those two words and I’m still learning to find myself .

” My feelings are all over the place ,but I don’t want this charade anymore Imani .

” After tonight I want to give us a chance ,to be real ” he said in one go and my jaws literally dropped as I blinked my eyes twice .

” What ? I asked again .

” Let’s date for real , be my girlfriend Imani”

” I know I’m boring ,I know …I come with baggages and I might not be Cinderella’s prince charming but let me be your man .

” Let me be your prince charming” he whispered close to my lips as my back made contact with the slab .

” Lee what about the. ..” I trailed .

” Please Imani , can’t you feel it ? Can’t you feel the desire ” he asked as our eyes met each other.

” Leon I like you too ,I like way more than I should . I don’t want you to go into a relationship you are not ready for just because I want stability ” I said and he chuckled.

” I want you okay ,I think the slap helped me realize that ” he said and we both laughed.

” I’m sorry about that lee ” I said as I rubbed the spot.

” I can’t help but wonder how a hand this soft nearly broke my face ” he said kissing the back of my hand and I chuckled.

” Imani. ..” he trailed .

Should I accept him ? What if we break up ? What if we are not compatible .

Can I get over him ?

Tega’s words came to my mind that instant.

Life was all about taking risks and I think Leon is worth it .

How do I know if it will work out if I don’t try ?

” Kiss me ” i whispered against his lips and he stared at me like I’ve lost it .

” What ? ” He asked almost scared that I was someone else.

” Kiss me Delgado ” I whispered so close to his lips and that’s all it took for him to slam his lips on mine .
