I watched as he dropped his phones on the front table then stared at me .

He chuckled to himself and I had to stop myself from swooning at how sexy it came out.

God am I normal ?

” Is everything okay ? He asked with concern.

” Yeah ,I am fine ” I said and he gave a nod .

” My lawyer will send the file to your office tommorow ,the deal is supposed to stay between the both of us ,no one else ” He said and I bit my lower lip.

I told Tegs and Avy already.

” My best friends know already ” I said and he pinched the bridge of his nose .

” If they are people you trust ,then it is fine by me ” He said .

” Any Boyfriend I should be worried about ? He asked staring at me and I shook my head .

” Words miss lerato ” his voice rang in my ears .

” What ? I asked confused .

” I need your actual words ” he said and I gave a nod .

” I . ..I don’t have a boyfriend sir ” I said suddenly feeling embarrassed.

” Any guy I should be worried about ? He asked again and I frowned .

” I just told you I am single ” i said immediately.

” You could be single and have a sex partner” he said and I glared daggers at him.

” I am not that kind of girl sir …! ” I said stressing the last part .

” You are getting me wrong ,I didn’t mean it in a bad way . I just don’t want any complication when we eventually start this ” He said and I sighed .

” I am very much single ” I said and he ran his fingers in his hair .

” It is quite hard to believe considering the fact that you are a beautiful woman ” he said and I nearly chocked on my saliva .

He thinks I am Beautiful .

“Why do you need a fake girlfriend ? I asked and he stared at me .

” Let’s order first ” he said and the waiter moved in our direction.

” Your order sir ” the waiter said and I went for Fried rice and Meatballs .

” I’d go with Pasta and white sauce …” He trailed placing his order .

” You wanted to know why I want a fake girlfriend si ? He asked .

” Yea”

” My mom is after my life , trust me I have attended up to 500 blind dates …ever since I declared myself single ” He trailed in frustration.

” 500 ? I asked trying to control my laughter.

” Fine I am exaggerating a bit ,but trust me I am tired of the blind dates ” he said tiredly.

” And mom wouldn’t hear of it ” he said .

I has in the tip of my tongue to say we are in the same shoes .

But decided to let it slide what if he gets scared ?

He is the one who needs a fake girlfriend ,I don’t need to let him know I also need a fake boyfriend in my life right now me

” Why don’t you have a girlfriend sir ? I asked

” I have a girlfriend now ” he said .

Smart reply ,I can see why he is a business man .

” I haven’t signed the contract yet ‘ I said smartly.

” Agreed but you are sitted opposite me right now ,you won’t be here if you don’t accept my proposal” He said and I opened and closed my mouth like a fish .

” Before You sign the contract tommorow ,I will like to tell you the basic things you need to know ”

” My mom used to be a business woman ,she worked alongside my Dad until he found it necessary to cheat on her …” He said and took a deep breath in and out.

” She is a very cheerful person and if you are not careful she might overwhelm you with her words ” he said and I gave a nod .

” My older sister Scarlett whom I fondly call scar is married with kids ” He said and I gave a nod.

“I am a very busy person and the media attention can be a bit overwhelming sometimes ,so don’t be surprised if you see your face plastered on social media platforms and all ,I’m sorry I can’t control that ” he explained

” What ? ” I asked suddenly thinking twice .

” I work a lot so …” He trailed .

” You are a workaholic sir ” I said and he fell quiet .

” Yes I guess I can’t defend myself on that one . I am a workaholic .”

” My mom and sister are going to be very suspicious about this whole thing so we have to make sure they actually believe us . That can’t happen if you keep calling me sir ” He said and I stared in shock .

” Sir …” I trailed .

” I’m going to be your boyfriend for the next 6 months . You can’t possibly be dating someone and call them sir ” He said and my cheeks heated in a blush .

” I told Mom we have been dating for two months ” He said and I rubbed my arms nervously.

” I’m allergic to Peanuts and anything that has mango in it ,it gives me instant reactions ” he said and I felt pity for him immediately .

How can anyone be allergic to Peanuts 🥺

My mouth is watering from the thought of peanut .

He went on explaining everything I need to do .

At the end of the night , We walked out of the resturant together and he had his hand at the small of my back .

I couldn’t help but notice how he grabbed unwanted attention.

Even ladies with other men turned their necks to stare at him .

He saw me to my car and bend close I froze immediately as his lips trailed my cheeks to my ears .

“Have a good night , Make sure you don’t come to the office in a hurry tommorow ,I don’t wanna go to my office soaking wet ” He said and I blushed red .

I hurried into my car and drove off .

” Sweet baby Jesus ” I muttered under my breath as I blushed red .

As I walked towards my apartment , my mind trailed the events of the day .

I never knew Mr Delgado could be so naughty .

My hand moved to the handle and I walked in frowning.

” I am gonna take back all the spare keys I have given to all of you because this is starting to get on my nerves ! I said frowning and someone walked out of my kitchen with a bowl in her hand.

” Iya ” I said in shock .

” Goodevning ” I greeted trying to mask my shock.

” Goodevning baby ,you have refused to visit your mother so I figured it is important I check on my daughter ” she said frowning .

” Where are you coming from ? She asked dropping the bowl on my dinning table.

” Iya ,I am twenty five ” I said and she rolled her eyes.

” If you like be 120 years old ,I will still be concerned about you and see you as my baby …” She trailed .

” Your father is staying over night at the office , stubborn old man . The weather is so cold and look at me no one to have his hands all over me …” She trailed .

” Mom ” I said in horror and she laughed

” Oh chill you think you youngsters are the only one that know how to do this romantic stuffs ?

” How do you think you came into this world ? Your father knows how to put it in all the right places ” she said and I screamed.

” Mom ! Too much information please” I said immediately.

” When you get a man you will understand ” she added .

” I’m sleeping here tonight care to tell me where you are coming from ? She asked.

I turned as I stared at how gorgeous she looked her loose baby pink gown and black Crocks slippers .

“I went out ” I said trying to change the topic.

” I know you went out Ayomi ” she said Calling me by the Nigerian name she fondly uses on me when she is in a good mood .

” Mom I went out with my boyfriend ” I said and heard her gasp .

” Ah oluwa oh ! ” She screamed raising both hands akimbo .

” South Africa people make una gather oh …Ayomi ! ” She screamed in pidgin .

” You have a boyfriend abi you are trying to decieve me ni ? She asked her Yoruba accent dripping off each word .

“Mom can we talk about this in the morning I am sleepy ”

” Come back here young lady because with what you just told me I might appear in your dream if I don’t get the full update ” She said rushing after me as I walked towards my room .

” Mom ” i said laughing .

” Who is he ? Ehn when did it happen kilode ? ” She asked in shock .

” Will you ask one question at a time ? I asked with a chuckle.

I have never seen mom so excited like this I am beginning to feel bad for lieing even before we start pretending.

So help me God .

Mom had me up telling her everything that happened between us well except for the fake dating part .

I slept with relief in my heart because I was finally free from her long lectures at least for a few months.

The next morning I woke and mom was in my kitchen preparing breakfast .

I was clad in formal clothes ,I got to the office early and I smiled because this has been my normal routine not before all these madness this few days .

” Goodmorning lerato ” The receptionist greeted me as she smiled teasingly.

” Good morning ma ” I waved wondering why she was wiggling her eyebrows at me .

I passed by some colleagues on my way to the elevator and while some of the females glared at me , others stared at me with envy .

Whom did I offend ? I wondered as I got into the elevator ,some male staffs where with me in the elevator and I didn’t like the stares they gave me .

On my way out of the elevator I froze at the words I heard .

” I can’t believe the Boss is enjoying all these assets ” one of the guys said.

” You didn’t check the news she’s dating the Boss ” the other said and I hastened my footsteps immediately I got to my office I opened my phone and switch on my data .

My phone was on silent mode so I didn’t get the calls from Tegs and Avy .
