The Return of Acho, Episode Four

"You think I don't know you allowed Acho to eat from your honey pot? know every secret of yours. Everything you are hiding from me is bare to my very eyes. There is nothing hidden under the sun. But before I expose you, where did you sleep last night? You told me you were going to the bank and that was the last time I saw you yesterday. Where did you go to? Did you go to your village or did the bank security lock you inside the bank? Where were you last night? know where you slept, but I still want you to say it with your mouth." Leke tells the female soldier. The female soldier returned in the morning after spending a night with Acho.

"I did not go to the bank yesterday. I lied to you. I was actually going to see Acho and I slept in his house. Do you have a problem with that?" The female soldier asked Leke.

"I have a serious problem with that because I'm supposed to marry you in a week's time and you are busy spending a night at your ex's house? Didn't you know you now belong to me? You are my fiancé and you are no longer allowed to see Acho or any other man for that matter. You belong to me alone and I determine where you go to or who you see. It was so disrespectful for you to have spent a night at the house of your ex-boyfriend who dumped you after you agreed to marry me. What were you thinking before you did such a terrible. thing? I know he touched you because you can't sleep there without him not wanting some honey. What a shame." Leke said angrily. He was livid and if a raw yam was thrown into his heart, it would probably boil.

"Of course, he asked for some honey and he got it. Why should I deny my husband his rights? He has the right to the honey pot. If you are unhappy about that, I'm sorry." The female soldier said.

"You are sorry? Is that all you have to say after betraying me? You betrayed the love I have for you. You betrayed my trust by going back to Acho when I thought we were preparing to go to the registry for our wedding. You are such a liar. What was I thinking when I proposed to marry you? I should have known that you an unstable serpent. You have no direction in life. You have opened your honey pot to all the men in this street. You opened it for the General, you opened it for me, you opened it for Acho. Who is the next person to test the honey? I'm sure by now, the honey will be tasteless. You are such a shameless woman." Leke said.

"No one else will test the honey. It now belongs to my husband." The female soldier said.

"Which husband? A husband that was not on ground on the day of his traditional wedding? I paid your bride price, remember? Technically, you are mine." Leke said with anger.

"You paid the bride price on Acho's behalf and you used my money to do it. Up till now, my people don't know you. They know Acho as my husband and that is how it will remain. In fact, that's exactly why I'm here. To tell you that whatever it is we were planning will not work. I have found my way back to the place I belong. My heart belongs to Acho and there is no way you can snatch me from him. I also want to invite you to our wedding. I have to also warn you not to do anything to try to stop me from getting married to the love of my love because it will end in tears." The female soldier said. She went ahead to pack all her things into bags and got ready to leave Leke's house.

Leke felt terrible and completely heartbroken. He never expected the female soldier to go back to Acho. In his mind, he thought it was over between the female soldier and Acho. The latest turn of events left him shattered. There and then, he decided he was not going to take it. He decided to fight with every fiber in his being.

"I'm going to fight you. You know you can't marry him. Not when I'm alive." Leke said.

"You will be alive my dear, because want my children to call you Uncle Leke." The female soldier teased him.

"You are pregnant and you and I know Acho is not the father of the child in your womb. I'm going to expose this secret to him. I will then stand and watch to see how he will still marry a woman who got pregnant for another man." Leke said.

"How do you know that I'm pregnant?" The female soldier asked. She was heartbroken and scared because she did not know that Leke was aware of the pregnancy.

"You must be surprised that I'm aware that you are pregnant. By the time I expose you to Acho, you will show me some respect." Leke said. He dipped his hand into his pocket and produced a pregnancy test strip which he picked in the bathroom where the female soldier forgot it after she tested herself.

"Is this not yours? Is this not the pregnancy test strip you used to test yourself? As I can see here, it came out positive. Isn't it?" Leke asked. The female soldier was dumbfounded and did not know how to answer Leke.

"Please, don't tell Acho about it." The female soldier said.

"I will surely tell him. In fact, I'm on my way to his house right now and there is nothing you can do to stop me. If I can't marry you, no man will. If can't have you, no man will. You belong to me and I'm sure the baby is mine." Leke said as he opened the door to leave.

"The baby is not yours. Don't tell Acho about this because the result would be disastrous. I'm warning you." The female soldier said as she ran after Leke with her gun. Leke headed towards the gate of the compound, but before he could open the gate and run out, the female soldier shot him. He fell and died instantly.
