The Return Of Acho - S01 E03

The Return of Acho, Episode Three

"I know what you are trying to do. If you try it, I

will spill the whole secret in less than 24 hours. I

have a lawyer who you don't know and I have

handed over all the evidence against you to

him. I have instructed him to hand over

everything to the police if he stays 24 hours

without hearing from me or the side chick. So, if

he hears that anything untoward has happened

to us, you are finished. He will just go straight to

the police and tell them how you killed the

General." Acho tells the female soldier angrily.

The female soldier had gone to Acho's house

the second time, hoping he wouldn't be at home

so she could talk to the side chick. She had

decided not to kidnap her so as not to worsen a

situation that was already bad. However, the

talk was not going to be a polite one. She was

there in her full military regalia and also had a

fully loaded gun. But Acho was prepared for her

and was not intimidated at all. He talked

without any iota of fear in him.

"I did not kill the General. Stop calling me a killer." The female soldier yelled angrily. The good thing on this second visit is that at least, Acho let her into the room but she was not sitting down yet. As usual, the side chick was breastfeeding her baby absentmindedly as if what they were talking about did not concern. her.

"So if you are not a killer, what are you? You gave her the order to kill the General. You brainwashed her and told her the General was after her life. You lied to her and used her to execute your revenge. Now, her life is in danger because of you." Acho said. He was shouting with a loud voice. The room had become tensed.

"Stop blaming me. The General put me in that position. He started it. He ruined my plans to get married to you. He forced me and ate from my honey pot. I was thinking after that he would allow me and you to get married in peace, but no, he went ahead to send pictures of me into your phone. This was why you broke up with me and refused to marry me even though my bride price had been paid. Now, tell me, if you were in my position as a woman, what would you have done?" The female soldier directed the question to Acho, but it was the side chick who answered instead.

"If were the one, will kill the General more than once. What he did to you was evil. If I were you, I will not stop there, I will make sure I ruin his family." The side chick said. This made the female soldier to be relieved. She was however surprised at the latest turn of events. She did not know how to respond to the statement made by the side chick, so she was just looking at her in disbelief.

"But you told me she deceived you. You said she lied to you and made you to commit murder. Why are you now saying another thing? Why are you supporting her?" Acho asked the side chick.

"I never knew the full extent of what the General did to the female soldier. That was why I said she deceived me into committing a murder. If she had opened up to me, I wouldn't have blamed her at all. The only problem was that she lied. She was not honest with me. But now that I have heard the full story, I cannot blame her. Any man in position of power who takes advantage of a vulnerable woman should be held responsible for his action. My dear female soldier, I forgive you. And, I will not go to the police. I will just disappear so that security agencies will not find me. And even if they find me, I will not implicate you, I will take responsibility of the death of the General." The side chick said. The female soldier and Acho were both surprised at what they were hearing.

"Now, Acho, I would like you to give the gun to the female soldier. Also, delete the conversation I recorded from your phone. I will delete it from my phone as well. I want this matter to die here. I will just be on my way. Don't ever worry about me, I will be fine in the end." The side chick said as she stood up and picked her bag and left the room. But shortly after the door was shut, she knocked again.

"It's me please, open the door." The side chick said.

"Did you forget something?" Acho asked.

"Yes, there is something important I wanted to tell you and the female soldier. I want to beg the two of you to settle your differences and make sure you end up as husband and wife. I can sense it in my spirit that the two of you still love each other and that you are meant to be together. I know that many bad things have happened within the past few weeks, but I want you to know that we are all humans and we make mistakes. So, find a way to settle your differences and I assure you, everyone will be happy in the end." The side chick said and finally left the room never to be seen again by Acho or the female soldier.

The female soldier have missed Acho so much and have been craving the opportunity for a hug from him. Even Acho secretly wanted her back, but his ego did not allow him to think correctly when he returned from the kidnappers den. There was a huge burst of romantic energy residing in their hearts, begging to be released.

"So, do you still want to know how I met the side chick." Acho asked.

"Yes of course." The female soldier said, trying to control her emotions so that Acho will not know that she wanted him to touch her.

"I met her at the supermarket where she ran to when soldiers where pursuing her. On the day she killed the General, she escaped successfully. However, within a short while, soldiers cordoned off that area and started arresting people who looked suspicious. That was how she ran into the supermarket where I was shopping. She met me behind the counter and pleaded with me to take her home, insisting she was in danger. I took the risk of brining her to my house and she narrated her story to me and it turned that I'm familiar with the story." Acho said.

"But did you honestly want to tell the police about me? You wanted to report me to the police so I could go to jail?" The female soldier asked.

"Of course not. I just wanted to get you back. I

realized that I acted rashly by dumping you

despite all you did for me. The arrival of the side

chick was an opportunity for me to get your

attention. I was left in pains when I heard you

were going to marry Leke. Look, it was my fault.

I don't blame you for what happened between

you and the General. You were just trying to

help me out. It was wrong for me to have

dumped you. I was selfish and I did not think of

how that would make you feel. Please, forgive

me and accept me back as your husband."

Acho said with tears in his eyes. But before he

could say more, the female soldier grabbed him

and they locked lips and fell on the bed. They

have missed each other so much. They held a

brief reconciliation meeting on the bed and both

of them thoroughly enjoyed it.

"I have forgiven you. In fact, I forgave you since.

I was just waiting for you to come back." The female soldier said.

"What about Leke? What are you going to do about him?" Acho asked.

"I don't love him. I was with him out of frustration. I also wanted to spite you." The female soldier said. The both of them hugged and fell asleep. For the first time in weeks, they slept properly.

However, when the female soldier woke up, she remembered that she was pregnant.

"Who is the father of this baby? Is it the General, Acho or Leke?" The female soldier asked herself.
