Savvy's P.O.V ... The Closet Conversation

TRRD: Okay this going back in time to earlier that day ... Here just read and I think you will catch on to what's happening ...

Savvy's P.O.V

Laying on my bed and head-banging to Smashing Pumpkins was how I was spending my Saturday afternoon. Yep, boredom had hit an all time low for me. I think I would rather hear a speech about coffee is bad for you than be stuck at my house, with nothing to do and the fear of walking out of your room and coming face to face with a grandmother that had a hangover from hell. My head snapped towards my desk when I heard my phone buzz. I sprung to my feet and ran over to the desk.

Please let it be Matt Damon! Who finally realized we belonged together!

"Hello!" I said in a chipper voice.

"Savvy, what you doing?" It was Maddy, I frowned.

" ... Absolutely nothing ... Why? Did you finally decide you want to go on a hot air balloon shaped like a monkey?" I asked her.

"No, Savvy, I'm not calling because of some hot air balloon ... I am calling to tell you that you need to be at my house, like, now!" I became confused as to why she wanted me now.

"Now? Why? Are the police at your door? Are they looking for me? Tell them I didn't do it!" I said in a eager voice.

"What? Police? Savvy, come on! I texted you an hour ago saying I was going to a party and you must come with me!" I sighed and looked around my room.

Guess there was nothing better to do.

"Be there in twenty minutes." I said.

"Twenty minutes?! Make it ten, because if you don't come here in ten, Troy said he will personally take me to this party, with him, and if I get stuck in the same car with him ... Someone will end up dead."

"Are y'all having a lover's quarrel?" I questioned. They so needed to get together ... if you know what I mean. wink, wink

"Lover's quarrel? Hell no! I'm just pissed that ... Just forget it." Maddy muttered.

"What are you pissed about? Come on, you know you want to tell your awesome friend Savvy all about it." I told her.

"The only thing I want to tell you is you better be here asap! I mean it!" Maddy sternly said. I sighed and rolled my eyes.

"Okay, okay, I'm getting ready. See you soon." With that I hung up and rushed around my room. Soon, I was dressed in a slimming silver dress, that went mid thigh. I paired the dress with a black leather jacket, hoop silver earrings, and favorite black stilettos.

I walked out of my room, keeping an eye out for my grandmother. I didn't see her in her normal chair, but I did hear some noise from the kitchen. I was going to ignore it, and leave the house, when a sound came from the kitchen ...

"Leave! Now!" I heard my grandmother shout. "Leave before she sees you here."

"I can't do that ... I want to see her." I heard a woman's voice say ... It was a very familiar voice ... where had I heard that voice from? I couldn't help but creep close to the kitchen door, hoping to get a sight of the woman that's voice sound so familiar.

"I've told you everytime you come here that there is no way I'd let you see her. You are too messed up in the head with your druggy lifestyle to be in her life"

"Mom, I'm clean! I have been for a month! Please, let me see my daughter! Just, please." It was like a lighting bolt had hit me ... My mom ...

I walked straight into the kitchen, without thinking. My grandmother's eyes quickly caught me, and so did a familiar dark brown pair of eyes.

"Savvy?" My mom's voice cracked and she had tears coming down her face. "Savvy, it's me ... your mom."

"You are no mother of Savvy's, now leave." my grandmother interrupted. I just couldn't stop staring at my mom who stood before me, crying.

"I c-can't leave my baby." My mom said, not taking an eye off me. I didn't know what to say, a feeling erupted inside of me ... I couldn't tell if it was anger or sadness, and not knowing what I felt pissed me off.

"I will be back tomorrow, having a sleepover at my friend's." I said and then ran out of the house with tears that were daring to escape my eyes.

"Okay, Savvy and Maddy, let's find the boys, show them we came and then leave." Kay suggested to us. I gave her a skeptical look before turning to Maddy to see what she had been wanting to do.

"I think we should enjoy the party." Maddy said as her eyes scanned over the teens that were all over the place and clearly getting drunk already. I couldn't help but look to around too, and see across the flocks of people.

"I just don't think it's a good idea." Kay muttered. I ignored her as I caught sight of Allen. He was standing with a group of guys, laughing. I smiled as I watched him laugh. Man, I loved the deep sound he made when he laughed. It felt like we were magically linked together, for soon, his eyes met mine.

Maddy gripped my arm before I walked away from her and Kay. I become confused as to why she stopped me, and so did Allen, by the questioned expression on his face. And then I saw it. Helena. . I watched her intensely as she snuck up behind Allen and tapped him on the shoulder. He spun around, and I think he was about to say something to her, but she got on her tippy toes and kissed him. If that didn't hurt, watching him kiss back surely made me step back. His arms wrapped around her waist, she intertwined her hands around his neck. The boys around them whistled and cheered on.

Maddy and Kay looked at me with sorrow.

"Who's ready for a drink?" I asked and then took off towards the hallway, praying it lead to the kitchen and I would find liquid gold, also known as, alcohol.

It wasn't long after searching through the halls that I found the kitchen, and started pouring shots. When Kay and Maddy found me, they tried to take away my alcohol, saying I needed to slow down, but I took off. Which lead me to where I was now, in a closet, crying, with a clear bottle at hand. I heard the bedroom door open.

"Savvy?" It was a male's voice that was so so familiar to me.

Oh, right, it was The Bastard, Allen.

"Savvy, I can hear you in the closet." I watched as a shadow appeared that the foot of the door. The door rattled with a knock. "Savvy, you in there?"

"She'sss not heerrre, leave a messssage and jump offff a bridge!" I said, in a slurry voice. The door opened, letting in a bright light, making me flinch back with a hiss. Allen crouched down.

"Why do you like hiding inside dark closets when you're upset?" He asked me.

"Closssets aren't the ooonly placesss I like goinnng when I 'm upssset." I admitted. Here was the thing, when I was drunk, I would say anything. But at the moment I didn't care what I told Allen, I just wanted him to close the door and leave me to smother myself in complete darkness.

"Oh, yeah? Where else do you like going when you're sad?" He asked.

"Yourrr bed." I told him honestly. I heard him chuckle. "I love it when you laugh, do it again." I pleaded. He just stared at me. Silence filled the air. i couldn't take it. "Rememberrr when we were in fifth grade and I came to yourrr house. We plaayed Kim Possssible, and it wasss getting late? Your mom called usss in for a break and dinner. After dinner we went to your room and watched Peter Pan ... You saw I was tired and said I could ssstay the night at your house, and you mom would be okay with it. I fell asleep on your bed ... right next to you as you were humming a Peter Pan song in my ear ..." The memory flashed through my head. That was the first time I slept in his bed. Allen told his mom that I left, and I stayed there the whole night. I felt my heart sink and I gripped the bottle in my hand tighter. "Allen."

"Yeah?"

"Stand up, close the closet door, go get Helena, and watch Peter Pan. Because I will never watch Peter Pan with you again." I told him, he gave me a skeptical look.

"What are you talking about?" I took a long sip of Vodka. "Savvy, whoa." Allen tried taking the bottle from me, but I moved it away from his reach.

"If you touch it, I will bite you!" I said sternly. His hand backed away.

"Savvy, come on! You're drinking too much! You know what people are like when they drink a lot, your mom for example." He told me, I scooted deeper in the closet, as tears formed in my eyes. "Oh, no, Savvy that's not what I meant-"

"No, I heard you loud and clear. You think I'm acting like my mom. Well, Allen, take your bitch, Helena home and tell your mom that she was right. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree." Allen's brown eyes grew wide.

"Y-you heard that?" I nodded.

"I also heard how you didn't stand up for me. You know, I'm glad you dumped me. If I had a boyfriend, I would want him to be a man and stand up for me ... Like Vinny." Anger flashed in Allen's eyes, his fist balled up by his side.

"Things aren't how you think it is, Savvy."

"Enlighten me then, Allen. Why do you let your mom choose who you date?" I asked, before taking another drink. Allen reached out his hand.

"Well, if I am going to tell you, I need a drink."
