When Daniella walked into the bedroom, she was surprised to meet Nathan sitting on the edge of their bed.

“Nathan?” She called out in shock and disbelief.

“Daniella” Nathan called in a soft tone.

“What’s going on? Why are you suddenly here?” Daniella asked looking confused.

“I have come to make things right between us,” Nathan said standing to his feet with remorse in his eyes.

Daniella was completely lost for words. She stood there not knowing the right words to say to him.

“Look, Daniella. I am truly sorry okay? I know I’ve wronged you. I know I haven’t been a good husband to you. I know I shouldn’t have left the way I did but trust me, I have learnt my lessons” Nathan said walking up to Daniella who quickly raised her hand motioning him to remain where he was.

“Don’t you dare walk any inch close to me” She warned with anger and pain in her heart.

“Daniella, I am deeply sorry. Believe me, I’ve learnt my lessons and I am now a changed person” Nathan said with sincerity in his eyes.

“Who said you could show up here and speak to me about forgiveness after all you did to me?” Danielle asked with tears welling up in her eyes.

“I’m sorry” Nathan softly apologized.

“Sorry? did I hear you say sorry? Nathan, you left me alone for more than a month. And here you are saying sorry like sorry is enough to fix everything” Daniella yelled out in pain.

“I know, I know it can’t change or fix anything. Because only I can. So that is why I have come to show you how much I’ve changed. Trust me, I regret letting my emotions take the best of me. And believe me, I don’t know what came over me back then. But if you forgive me, then I promise I will work hard into becoming a better version of myself” Nathan pleadingly said.

“No need for that Nathan because I’ve already seen and witnessed all the different versions of you. And to be frank, I am tired of this so-called marriage and everything that comes with it” Daniella said.

“Does that mean you want to quit this marriage?” Nathan asked with fear in his heart.

“Exactly Nathan. I’ve had enough of your nonchalant attitude towards me. I am fed up with all the pains, all the emotional stress and torture you’ve caused me all this while.

I am tired of it all. And I think we both should go our separate ways. After all, we are both used to living without the other” Daniella said with a stern face.
