Ronald went silent for close to five (5) minutes….

Ronald just walk up to the window….

He brought out a packet of cigarettes from his pocket…

He took a stick and light it,while drawing some smoke from it…

He puffed it out, he’s gaze still glues outside….

“Ronny,we have a kid here in our mist”I uttered,for him to discard that thing….

“Oh..I’m sorry” he muttered and threw the stick out through the window….

“I will only reply to one (1) out of your Numerous questions* he spoked, he’s back facing me and my son….

“Your Mother met me at one (1) of the federal hospital in Onitsha…

She was in tears as she pour out what the doctor said to her…

Her little baby,as she do call her, was diagnosed with heart tumor…

She barely have days to live if she don’t provide the money for her surgery…” He paused before turning to me…

Wait!!!,…I remembered mama talking about sonia’s sickness…

“By the way,I’m still your collateral and I know my mom will surely look for a way to pay you back,and then…I will go back to where I’m from….then you can have your fiancee and the kids that I gave you. That’s what your father wants… I’m sorry for also meddling in your affairs..but I want to request something from you…I will like to visit my Mom,at least to know about her Walefare ….I know it won’t be possible I…. Just what I’m I even saying” I bluffed in tears before walking out of our bedroom….

I wiped my tears as I climbed down the stairs…
