MARIAN

Jealousy is nothing but poison and I’ve seen and read quite a lot to know how toxic it is. It’s natural for people to be jealous but if it gets out of hand, bad things are sure to happen.

After Peter and I got dressed, we drove out of the farm and headed home. On our way home, I stole glances at Peter’s face and it was evident that he was still jealous and annoyed by what I told him. Peter is a sweet and gentle man but he has zero control over his emotions and that’s what I’m afraid of.

Eventually, we arrived at the farm house but instead on dropping me by the road side, Peter drove all the way to the front porch of the house and dropped me there.

Peter Okay then.. This is it.

Marian Thanks but you shouldn’t have drove me all the way here.

Peter Please, do you realize how far it is from the front of the farm to this place? Your beautiful legs need to rest.

Marian Okay, but this should be the last time. Goodbye.

Peter Hold on. Don’t I get a kiss?

Marian Here?

.

Peter Sure.

.

Marian We can’t. My mistress could be here any minute and she won’t take it kindly if she saw me kissing you right in front of her house.

Peter Alright then I’ll stay here until you do.

Marian You can’t be serious.

Peter Oh yes I am.

Marian Alright fine.

Just as I was about to lock lips with Peter, the major’s car pulled in and parked right next to us. I quickly backed away from Peter as I saw the major and his friends staring at me. Peter on the other hand sat comfortably on his seat staring at the major annoyingly and in that moment, I felt it in my guts that something was about to transpire between these two men so I quietly urged Peter to go.

Marian (quietly) Please Peter, you have to go.

Peter Is that the major?

Marian Yes.

Peter Good, this is the perfect opportunity for us to get acquainted.
