HARRY

I paced about in the living room with my eye puffy and red.

It was almost midday and Bink hasn’t been found.

Betty was yet to recover from her faint and she was still laying on the hospital bed.

I felt like killing myself. I was going crazy. Who could have taken Bink away?

Did he crawled out of the house by himself?

I should have locked up the door when Betty insisted that I should be the one to do it.

What have we done to ourselves!

Im never gonna forgive myself if anything happens to my baby.

My phone rang and I hastily picked it up. Mom! ” I breathed.

Calm down, Harry. Don’t kill yourself before we get to find the baby.” Mom snapped.

Does it look like i can calm down? What happened at the police station? Do they have any information? “I asked eagerly.

Mom breathed in. Not so fast, son. Mrs Ralph and I are doing everything in our power to find him. Just stay with Betty and take care of her. ” Mom said and cut the line.

I almost threw the phone away but I didn’t want to create any scene cos people were there at the lobby.

A nurse walked to me. “, Your wife is up. Shes crying heavily… I think you should go in and console her. ” She said and left.

I stared ahead. I’ve never gotten along with Betty. How do I start consoling her?

Where do I start from? How do I tell her sorry.. that our son is gonna be found?

Feeling so frustrated, I headed to her room.

The loud sobs greeted me when I opened the door and entered.

I saw a sad and sorry scene. Betty’s face was bright red and her eyes were so puffy.

I stood in front of the door watching her as she blew her nose.

“Please Harry.. tell me he’s been found. Please.. just convince me!, Tell me they’ve already found my son! ” Betty wept uncontrollably.

I wiped my sweaty palms together and started walking towards her.

I felt something stab me in the chest.. it was pain, seeing her cry like this.

I felt my own tears gathering as I got to her bed and hugged her head to my bossom.

“He’s gonna be found. It’s a promise. I will do everything in my power and bring him back. I promise. ” I said, caressing her hair.

Betty wrapped her arms around me and wept on.

I was startled she did that. Now the disappearance of our baby is turning events around.

Betty is actually hugging me back?

I glared down at her and as if she knew I was looking at her, she also raised her head to stare at me.

Our lips were now inches apart. “He’s gonna be found.”, I said again.

Acting on impulse, I reached forward and gave her a reassuring soft kiss.

I heard her moan softly too.

It was incredible. I never knew crazy Betty could respond to a soft kiss!!

BELLS

“Are you guys sure this is gonna work?” I asked as I sat back again.

Baby Bink was on the sofa playing with the teddy bear I tossed at him.

I smiles as I watched him play. He is such an adorable cute baby.

Scott nodded. “It should. This is gonna make them console each other and think for once. I know what we did was totally outta the question but those two have got to learn their lesson in a hard way. ”

” It’s hard to see my son in so much pain. I hope this gets over soon so we can return Bink to them. ” Harry’s mom said sadly.

I smiled. ” You guys have got to take heart with this plan. It’s the best for them. This has got to happen so they can think for once just like Scott said. ” I replied.

Betty’s granny, Mrs Ralph carried Bink and kissed his forehead. “He’s amazing kid, you know.

He has cried only once in the early hours of the morning. I hope he doesn’t starts missing his mommy so soon.”, Mrs Ralph said, ruffling the baby’s soft hair.

“I’m here granny. He’s not gonna miss her so soon. I think you guys have to go-to the hospital.. you know for some comforting. ” I said going forward to carry Bink.

Harry’s mom and Mrs Ralph stood up and soon they left for the hospital.

I put Bink to sleep before returning into the living room room to meet Scott.

I smiled as he walked up to me and kissed me deeply.

I ran my arms around his neck and equally kissed him back.

For the past months, we’ve become an item through our plans on bringing Betty and Harry closer.

We stood looking at each other. “Do you think this is gonna work out fine?” I asked softly.

“Yeah sure. Those two needs something serious so they are gonna think for once. It’s gonna be painful though but we will be there to comfort them and watch them get along. ” Scott said.

I kissed him and smiled. ,”You are right. Let’s watch them get along.”
