Oh oh! What have I done? I just broke the hospital glass… Shit!

“Relax guys. The damages are gonna be taken care of.” I tried calming the angry looking nurses.

Harry inhaled deeply and let his shoulders fall. Whatever. He caused this from the beginning!

A WEEK LATER

HARRY

Scott came into the office, whistling.

I looked up and stared at him, lost in thought. He must have noticed my mood cos he stopped to look at me too.

“Hey, Harry. Are you okay?” He asked, coming close.

“Not really.” I responded. Scott would never understand what I’ve been passing through with Betty and the baby.

After one week of returning home from the hospital,I practically lost every right in the house as a man.

I don’t even have my own private time anymore.

My fear had already come to pass.

“You don’t know the hell I’m passing through in that house. Betty is simply impossible!” I exclaimed.

Scott sat down opposite me and went silent for awhile. He looked at me afterwards. “Do you love her?”

I studied the question. Even at the first sight of her, I’ve always felt this spark that attracted me to her.

“I would have fallen in love with her only if she had allowed me. I’m trying to love her but she’s just too crazy. ” I replied.

” Then you need a plan, man. You need plan to make her love and respect you.”Scott said and I looked at him with a slight frown.

“Plan? What plan?” I asked.

“Why don’t you give her some space?, Yeah….like….leave the house! Doing so…you are gonna know her through feelings towards you.” Scott said.

I waved it off. “Come on man….that’s wicked. What about Bink? I can’t let her be the only one taking care of him.” I replied.

” Then why are you complaining?” Scott asked.

I shook my head. I was right. He would never understand.

I stood up when I noticed it was almost six pm.

“Where are you headed?” Scott asked, getting up with me.

“What a dumb question. Home of course.” I replied, taking up my car keys.

Scott laughed. “Wow! You’ve really changed, Harry. You no longer party! You no longer..you know… Have all these girls coming here! Betty doesn’t know how lucky she is to have you. “Scott said and I smiled ruefully.

” I’m off. Tell the security to lock up the main gate.” I instructed before moving to the door.

” I’m going to have some drinks at Bay Blue…. You interested? ” Scott asked.

I turned to look at him. ” Nope. See you tomorrow.” I replied and walked out.

I got into my car and drove off, straight home. Who knows what Betty is gonna do tonight?

SCOTT

More sarsaparilla, Jinx!! ” I yelled at the bar girl who winked at me and passed more bottles to me.

I was sitting at one of the tall chairs in front of the bar when my eyes caught a beautiful familiar face at the far end of the room.

She was sitting alone. I tried remembering where I first saw her and almost immediately, I remembered.

Bells! Betty’s best friend.

I jumped down from the stool, took hold of my drink and walked towards her. “Yeah! It’s you! Hi, Bells?” I said sitting in front of her.

Bells looked at me and smiled slightly. “Hi.” She said casually and looked away.

“Are you expecting someone?”, I asked.

She glanced back at me and shook her head.

I licked my lower lip and surveyed Bells through my watchful eyes.

She was looking so sexy and hot. How come she’s sitting alone?

Maybe she doesn’t have a boy friend. Well, I’m ever ready for that position.

“How is my friend doing?” She asked me.

“Your friend? I guess she’s fine ” I replied.

She nodded.” I fell sorry for them.” Bells suddenly said.

My heart melted beyond imagination. She’s feeling sorry for Betty. Do i feel sorry for Harry too?

“I warned her but she wouldn’t listen. Now she’s married to someone who doesn’t even love her. ” Bells complained.

” No. You can’t be so sure, Bells. I think Harry loves his wife. Betty is pushing him away. ” I said carefully.

Bells looked at me, unsurely. ” That’s not true. Harry is a play boy… He doesn’t love my friend. ”

” I had a little talk with him and he said things that are really great. I think Betty should give Harry a chance to change. ” I said.

Bells looked quietly at me and I could see imagination in her eyes.

That night…. We became close friends.

TEN MONTHS LATER

AUTHORESS POV

The baby tugged at his dad’s hair but he only groaned and turned away.

He tugged at his mother’s air but she groaned too and continued sleeping.

“Harry!! The baby is up!” She groaned in her sleep without opening her eyes.

Bink made some incoherent sounds and cried a bit.

When no one answered the little guy,he started playing with the toys beside him.

Soon,he became fed up. He slapped his dad’s face but he continued snoring.

“Oh come on,Betty! The baby…” He said in his sleep.

Bink crawled out of the bed and fell on the ground with his bum.

He started crawling out of the room through the wide opened door.

As he got to the stairs, he sat and started dragging himself down till he got to the flat floor downstairs.

It was almost morning and everywhere was still dark but the baby continued crawling all over, playfully.

He crawled out of the main door and sat at the front lawn.

He sneezed and started crying. His cries grew louder when no one answered him.

Someone suddenly walked towards the baby and picked him up.

He stopped crying immediately and started making happy incoherent sounds instead as the person took him away, out of the compound.

BETTY

I yawned and stretched as I sat up in bed.

I reached out to touch my baby but my hand met with an empty space.

My eyes flung wide open immediately. “Bink!!” I screamed and rushed down the bed. I looked frantically about but there was no sign of my baby.

I almost fainted at the sight of the wide opened door.

I remembered last night when Harry and I were bragging about who was supposed to close the doors but we ended up going to bed without closing the door!

I hit Harry and cried out his name. He came awake too and both of us ran out of the room.

“Bink!!” We shouted, searching the whole places.

We searched the whole house but there was no sign of my baby anywhere.

At the overwhelming shock of this,I passed out immediately.
