HARRY

The early hours of the morning saw me at the mall, shopping through a long list.

I took my time, checking out the stuffs cos I don’t want trouble with Betty.

I’m beginning to get tired of her continuous nagging.

I was going through the baby milk section when someone hugged me from behind.

I was startled. I turned and saw her smiling at me.

“Oh it’s really you, Harry! What are you doing here?”

I stared at Tiara’s face and forced a smile. She is one of the girls I’ve constantly handled at the gym.

“Oh yeah! I’m just shopping for some items. ” I replied, trying to hide the list in my hand but she saw it anyway.

” Wow. I heard your wife gave birth already. Are you here to buy diapers? Oh no. “, She laughed.

I breathed in. ” You find it funny too? ”

” Not really. At least a good daddy should buy diapers for his new baby. ” Tiara said sarcastically.

I frowned at her. ” I think you should go now. I’ve got things to do.” I said.

“Aww…. Tryna be faithful hun? ” Tiara asked and moved closer to me. Like a bitch, she nibbled at my mouth and kissed me slowly.

I became intensed and hot. Grabbing her closer to me, I deepened the kiss.

I broke away minutes later. ” We can’t do this here.”

“Awn…. Where Mr instructor?” Tiara asked sexily.

I shook my head and tried to think fast. My mind travelled to Betty and my new baby.

No….I can’t do this. Not this time…not now I’m having a baby somewhere.

I held her away from me. “Like I said before…. I’ve got things to do.”

“Oh stop being a saint all because of that bitch you call your wife, Harry. You’ve always wanted me.

Anytime. And now I’m here… Just take me! I’m ready. ” Tiara said, coming closer again.

I pushed her backwards. ” I don’t like repeating myself, Tiara. I will see you at the gym. ” I said angrily.

” Oh. Fair enough. Let’s meet at the gym. Bye, love. ” She said and blew me a kiss before walking off.

I scoffed. Love?

I turned around and continued my shopping.

BETTY

“For heaven’s sake Betty get up and carry your baby. He’s been crying ”

I heard someone say from my sleep.

I popped my eyes open to stare at Bells who was clutching Bink in her hand.

I sighed and sat up. I’m damn so tired!

Must he cry all the time?

I took him from her and plucked one of my breast into his mouth, making him keep quiet immediately.

“I’m sick and tired of this!” I yelled.

Bells laughed. ” Tired of your own baby? Come on,you can’t be.

Look…you’ve just started. And this baby is super cute. You should be proud of him.”

I rolled my eyes and glared down at Bink as he sucked slowly.

I frowned. He looks too much like Harry and I felt as though I were breastfeeding Harry.

I shook my head. “This baby looks so much like Harry….it makes me feel I’m breastfeeding him.” I said and Bells laughed.

” Oh my God…Betty! Harry is your wedded husband!

What are you talking about? Do you hate him?” Bells asked.

I stopped to think. Do I hate him?

No I don’t….it just feels too annoying cos he destroyed my plans by making me pregnant for him!

Bells came nearer and put a arm on my shoulder. “This baby is a beautiful gift,Betty.

Don’t regret that you have him.” She said soothingly.

I smiled. ” Thanks.” She pulled my head closer to her bosom and hugged me.

The door opened and I looked up. I gasped loudly.

Mom!! Behind her is granny.

I scowled at granny. “I thought we had an agreement! Why did you bring her here!” I cried.

” Baby! It’s me…your mommy.” Mom said, running closer to my bed.

I raised my hand and stopped her midway.

“Don’t come near me! This is all your fault! If you were there for me…I wouldn’t have made this mistake!” I cried.

” Oh no! Don’t say that. Bink isn’t a mistake!” Granny said with a gasp.

” Oh yeah! It’s a mistake cos I married a man who doesn’t love me. I married a man who I can’t build a home with.” I wept.

Mom came slowly to me and hugged me. I allowed her while I wept.

Bink’s mouth slipped away from my nipple and he recoiled into a sleep… oblivious of the trauma going on.

“He’s cute “mom smiled.

I wiped my tears off. “I’m fine now. What are you doing here?” I asked.

Mom breathed in. “I’m here to see you and the baby.” She said casually and I felt like laughing.

“Me and the baby? Mom! It’s been over two years since we last saw each other!

You’ve been married to that man got almost six years now and you’ve lived without me!

Why are you interested in seeing my baby and I?” I raved.

Mom closed her eyes and I saw the tears steaming down.

I liked away trying not to get captured by the tears. “I’m sorry… Betty. You are all I have!”

I turned to look at her with an amused look.

“Really? And what of your mighty rich husband who doesn’t want a step daughter?” I threw the words into her face.

” Betty please stop! She’s your mother.” Bells whispered at me.

I looked at her and looked away. Granny slowly picked up Bink and placed him in his bed.

“When are you due to go home?” Granny asked while she stroke Bink’s little dark curly hair.

I looked up at the wall clock and wondered what was keeping Harry. ” Harry is gonna take us home when he’s back.” I replied.

“Is that your husband? Harry?” Mom asked.

“Yeah.” Granny answered cos I ignored her.

” I think I wanna rest,grabby. I’m tired.”, I said and lay down on the bed while I turned my back against them.

“Come on,Rachel. Let’s get going. We are gonna come visit in the night when you are back home.” Granny said.

I felt mom’s hand on my arm as she touched me.” See you later.”

Then they were gone.

I heaved a sigh of relief and sat up. Bells looked at at me. “Your mom’s beautiful…. little wonder you are beautiful too.” She said and I shook my head.

” She has hurt me real deep. I don’t think I can face her ever again.” I replied.

” No,you can’t say that. Whatever happens,she’s still your mother.” Bells said.

The door opened again and a worn out looking Harry stepped in.

He fell into the large couch opposite us and blew out a sigh.

Bells and I stared at him. He looked up and shrugged.

“What?” He asked.

We continued staring at him.

“Say something and stop looking at me like a brain washed moron!” He yelled.

Little Bink flinched on his bed and I glared more angrily at him. “Do that again and I’m gonna flung you out of my room.”

Harry laughed. “You?” He laughed again. “Look… everything you requested for is inside the car. Hope you see satisfied now? I’m damn tired. I need to rest.”

“Guess you had a make out at the mall. Or perhaps you branched somewhere else before going to the mall.” I said looking at him.

” What are you talking about?” Harry asked.

“Your mouth!!” Bells and I shouted.

And Bink finally woke up with a loud cry. Ugh!!!!

HARRY

I rubbed a hand over my mouth and stared down at it to see pink stains on my palm.

Shit! Lipstick!, Tiara’s lipstick!

I held up my hand in denial. “I can explain.” I voiced out over Bink’s cries.

Bells had already carried him, trying to pacify him back to sleep.

Betty glared at me dangerously. She stepped down from the bed and stood like a warrior.

” I asked you to go to the mall to buy diapers and all you could do there was to have a make out with some stupid bitch?” She asked.

My heart pounded. Wait…what is she tryna do?
