(Obiageli makes effort to convince her husband to allow her visit Onitsha with her sister for a few weeks with their daughter and then come back)

Odogwu; Oby what is your problem sef? Why won’t you allow this sick man rest eh? Don’t you know that Ebere is too small to travel?

Obiageli; Cheei my husband our daughter is almost six months old, a full week from now and she will turn six months old and die..eh Nna is that what you want eh?

Odogwu; woman will you shut up? What makes you feel she will die like the rest of them? Or are you now Cassandra the prophet of doom?

Obiageli; Far be it from me that I will sit back and watch my child die due to your stubbornness.

Odogwu; Oby honestly i feel for you but my hands are tied, I can’t even walk well how much more refuse you the only reason that proves our fertility..You can go nut you have only two weeks there and if Ebere dies there please don’t bother to come back because I will hold it against you!

Obuageli; Dim oma don’t worry Chizi’s God is in control (she leaves his bedside to prepare herself for the travel..

(At noon she bids farewell to her mother and husband and heads for the city with Chizi)

(Somewhere else..)

(Maaame Queen is seen nursing her wound, deep down she knows that if Obiageli makes it to the city then she will have no hold anymore on Ebere)

Maame Queen;(crying deeply) My daughter ooo please come back home i miss you (she tries to summon Ebere’s spirit to come to her but Ebere refuses to come. She tries again harder this time around but Ebere refuses to be summoned. When she tried the third time her mirror glittered white and broke into a million pieces)

Child 1; (runs inside) Mama what happened?

Child 2; (rushes to her) Mama what are this marks on your body?

Child 3; Mama what happened to our Summoning Mirror?

(Maame Queen breaks down crying while her children comforts her)

(Narrator; its been a long time my dear readers that I shares my own view..but I’m happy that ogbanje couldn’t be summoned)

(In the bus heading to Onitsha, Ebere is seeing with a rosary on her neck courtesy of Chizi and that was while she couldn’t attend to Maame Queen summons, the necklace and the prayers Chizi has been reciting since the beginning of the journey had restricted her)

Chizi;(to Obiageli) don’t worry oh Nne your daughter will soon be yours fully..

Obiageli; Iseeee

Chizi;(rebukes her immediately) its Amen not Iseeee

Obiagelis;(wanting not to upset Chizi for fear of being sent back to the village immediately corrected herself) Amen!

They both smile…
