Read Story: SEASON 1 EPISODE 7

(Shows odogwu receiving treatment from the Chief priest)

Odogwu; ahhhhh biko Jide nwanyo, its painful (he cries out in anguish)

Ezemuo; Odogwu be a man and stop screaming!

Odogwu;(raises up his head to talk to Obiageli but does not find her) wise one please where is my wife?

Ezemuo;(shrugs) doing the only thing women know how to do best, Crying.

Odogwu; I didn’t mean to scare her that much

Ezemuo; be easy on yourself my son, you practically fainted when you got here, besides how did you come about a snake bite? (he asks him suspecting Maame Queen’s handiwork at play)

Odogwu; (tries to remember but his memory dims and he gets headache instead) i can’t exactly remember..ahhh my head oo!( makes an effort to hold his head)

Ezemuo; hmmm easy, calm down so this medicine can work. I’ll leave some medicines with Chi Chi (his pet name for Chinwendu as they were also age mates) so she can hand them over to Nwanyi gi when she stops her crying fits. (Suddenly remembers why he came) Odogwu I have something to tell you and its very important to listen to what I’ll say ok?

Odogwu;(who had already slept off due to the medicines at work) hhuuubuuummm!

Ezemuo; (more to himself) and he has slept off already. I can’t tell his wife this, she will just run mad. (Stands up and takes his leave).

(Somewhere else)

Maame Queen; dear children, come and take hi-5 each for your wonderful ideas, it worked perfectly well!

(They lined up to do the hi-5)

Maame Queen;(More to herself) don’t worry children your sister will be back in less than 14 days..(she smiles to herself).

#THE OGBANJE PART 7

(Chizi who is Chiwendu’s eldest daughter and 2years older than Obiageli comes home for holiday..she lives in Onitsha where she married a trader also from Ohafia but a different family; the Nwobike family. She visits the village to actually take a rest from the city life of Onitsha main town and to see Her sister’s daughter Little Ebere and also brought things for them from the city)

(At Night after their evening meal as usual the sisterly gossip will take place)

Obiageli; Nne Chizi the city looks good on you oo, see how fine your looking

Chizi; (smiles)my dear sister you don’t know how much you’re enjoying in the village o, you will wake up in the morning no noise, no fear and even if you want to cook, you will just go to your backyard and fiam! Soup is ready meanwhile in the city that is when you start thinking of going to the market to buy every every…the city eheh! Tueeeh its too too stressful

Obiageli ;(laughs) oya come let’s us switch places and see if I won’t be happier

(They both laugh)

Chizi; your daughter is very beautiful ahhh even my own children no reach, see how robust and lively she’s looking..

Obiageli;( face drops immediately but she regains herself and smiles) ahh my sister thank you

Chizi;(who has been observing her noticed the moods and enquires about it) My sister talk to me, you know you can always confide in me remember we used to be the very best at closeness unlike the rest of our siblings. talk to me ogini?

(Obiageli could not hide it any longer she breaks down and cries and when she was done crying she explained the dreams and all the little troubles and even her husbands incident to her sister)

Chizi; hmmmmm my sister this is very serious but all is well I have this reverend father in my Catholic parish at Onitsha if your husband won’t mind you coming to the city with me, then we shall go see him together and I’m sure God will save you and your child…

Obiageli; (gives her a suspecting look) save kwa? Can he restore my health and that of my Ebere?

Chizi; of Course God can do all things..(she goes on to talk more about God and how much he loves us all that he even sent his son to come and die for our sins and how willing he is to help us out of any troubled situation once we call upon him for help

Obiageli; (clearly intrigued) where can I see this man?

Chizi;( laughs) he is everywhere but we can’t see him but he makes himself known to us through his chosen vessels..

Obiageli; you mean like chief priest?

Chizi; (laughs again) no my dear he can even talk to you only if you are recognised with him?

Obiageli; (looking doubtful) Nne leave story jor I’m serious

Chizi; as well as I am infact over serious dey worry me

(Chizi makes Obiageli promise to talk to her husband into following her to the city)

(Later that night)

(Maame Queen sensing she was losing the battle to get back Ebere was seen spacing about and soloquising to herself)

Maame Queen; No!!! This can’t happen!! I will make sure it doesn’t happen!

(That night she decided to visit Chizi and warn her in her dream)

(In the dream…)

(Chizi was seen sweeping the compound with a long broom and Maame Queen appeared to her and warns her, after the warning Chizi laughs and Maame Queen was shocked as she tries to slap Chizi, Chizi uses the broom she was holding to give her the beating of her life and she disappeared after much beating)

(Chizi woke up and knelt down to pray in victory)

Chizi; In the name of the Father and of the son and of the Holy spirit…Thank you heavenly Father for the victory…..

(Lights fades out on her)
