Encounter With The Last Spirit - S01 E02

On hearing the voice, I made a loud scream.

“My Sacrîfice is finally here” the Spirit whispered again.

“I’ve never tasted human bløod before. Now I’m tired of drinking only dog’s and goat bloød. What I want now is human being. What I want is you” the voice echoed in darkness”

I first obliviated the thought of battery away from my mind. I forgot the reason why I entered the shrine.

I quickly switch on my phone’s torchlight and flickered the light around the shrine to see who was there. But I was surprised to see only black and dark darkness.

When I couldn’t see anything, I thought that I was just being paranoid for nothing. I remembered my purpose for coming into the shrine and pointed to light towards the spot I was standing on some moment ago.

After searching for minutes, I couldn’t find it. I’ve already given up and was walking out when I saw it on the blooded altar on my left side. It was placed beside the sěvered part of some goat.

I didn’t hesitate before walking towards the direction. The moment my hand touched the battery, the body less head of the goat on the altar bleated and made some funny sounds.

I headed towards the entrance and started running like someone who just contacted devîl.

I halted immediately I bumped into the person standing at the entrance of the shrinê. I pointed the torchlight to his face and saw him smiling at me.

The smile on his face made me realise that the person wasn’t a human. It was something I can’t describe. “Maybe the spirit they were talking about”.

“My Sacrifice is here” he muttered amidst laughter and quest to quench an undying hunger.

The moment I heard his voice, I knew exactly that it was the spirit I’ve been hearing his voice.

I was surprised he didn’t attack me. He was just beckoning to me to come closer to him.

“Even if you want a sacrîfice, is this how you supposed to get it. You want to be chasing your prey instead of allowing the chief priest to do the killîng for you” I said panting.

He laughed awkwardly for some minutes before talking.

“Who do you think you are talking to?. I told them that I want it to be that way and guess, the moment you first entered this place, you have been sacrificëd to me” he said and laughed again.

“You can go out to confirm yourself because there’s no where you are going” he said and moved away from the entrance.

As if he offered me a chance for freedom, I ran outside immediately to see the number eight of the world’s wonder.

When I got out, I was surprised to see everywhere silent like a grâveyard. There was no single person in sight.

The noisy place I left five minutes ago has now been dêvoid of people.

Now, I guess only I and the spirít are the only living creature in the village.
