Diana’s POV

I was on my hospital bed with my mother, Charles’s mother and my father when all of a sudden Nancy and Daniel busted into the room. Then Nancy jumped on me and I winced and she said oh sorry and added I’m just excited to see you alive and I said obviously. I sat up on the bed and she asked so how did it happen? I told her that we just returned from our honeymoon when a guy I didn’t even know came out of nowhere and shot me three times in the chest and I showed her the blisters from the shots on my chest and she said so sorry. She asked so how did you know to wear a bulletproof vest? I told her that it was all thanks to my husband Charles who had a dream that I was shot and it was even him who gave me the vest to wear. She stood and went to Charles and gave him a big hug and told him thank you for saving my friends life and Charles smiled and said it’s no problem that’s my job. Then the doctor walked into the room and said oh the whole family is here? My mother said you bet doctor and Charles asked the doctor when can she be released? The doctor said she can be released right now because she didn’t sustain any injuries from the gunshots. He continued, but I’d like to recommend you referring to me see a therapist. I said that wouldn’t be necessary and he said it’s just a recommendation you don’t have to see the therapist but in case you change your mind, he scribbled something on a piece of paper and handed it to me and said that’s the name of the therapist, her phone number and her office address. I looked at it and folded the paper and put it in my pocket. Then I was discharged from the hospital and we all of us returned to my parents mansion. When we got to the house, Charles said he had something important to discuss with Daniel and Nancy and I went into my old room at my parent’s house. Once in there, I sat on the bed and Nancy sat beside me and she asked me are you sure you are okay? I said yes just a little sore and I continued it’s not every day one gets to return from her honeymoon and get shot three times in the chest and we both laughed. I said speaking of honey moon how was yours? She said it was fine and I asked her for the details and she gave me the lowdown of everything that happened on her honeymoon with Daniel. When she was done talking I noticed she was sad and I asked her what’s wrong? She said it’s nothing and I told her that it’s not nothing and I added you were happy just now telling me about your escapades in Barbados and now all of a sudden you are sad and I asked or do you want me to beat it out of you? She said no and I told her to tell me and I added as the maxim says a problem shared with the right person is half solved and I asked her or has Daniel been cheating on you? She said no and I asked her so what’s the problem? She said that Daniel wants me to run the company alongside him and I asked her what’s the problem with that? She said I’m the least person to be running a multi-billion dollar company and she asked what if I make a mistake? I said that that’s why she has Daniel working alongside her. I told her not to worry about making mistakes and just concentrate on working with her husband. I said that if it was me, I’d jump at the opportunity and she said why wouldn’t you when you have two degrees. I told her that it wasn’t about the degrees that it would give me a chance to be with my husband almost all the time and she said oh yeah with her eyes open and I added Daniel loves you very much and that’s why he wants to work with you. Just then we heard a knock on the door and I stood from the bed and went to answer it and standing at the door was one of the maids at the house and she said that my parents and Charles’s parents wanted to talk with me and so I told Nancy and I said she should wait for me and I left her in the room and went to talk with my parents and in-laws.

Charles’s POV

When we got to Diana’s parents house, I asked Daniel if I could talk with him and he said yes and we went to the front of the pool and I told him that I appreciate his coming with Nancy to see I and Diana after what happened. He said oh come off it Charles you know that we are practically family and anything that affects you surely affects me. I said thanks again and he said you’re welcome. I said that the reason I wanted to talk with him was because I needed his help and he asked help with what? I told him that I needed his help with getting bodyguards for myself and Diana and he asked why? I asked him if he saw what happened today? He said what does that have to do with you getting bodyguards? I told him that I believed that the attack today wasn’t a once in a lifetime thing. I added I’m thinking of taking firearms training with Diana. Then he asked are you sure? I told him yes that I was and I continued I said I seem to remember that one of your family’s company’s subsidiaries is a security firm and he said yes and I asked him if he could send us some security consultants to help us with our security. He said let me get you straight, you want some security consultants or some bodyguards? I said I thought they were the same thing and he said not quite and he went on to explain the difference between the two to me and I settled for the security consultants. He asked me when I would like them to arrive? I told him that I would like them here as soon as possible and he said let me make a few calls and I said okay. Then I asked him how was your honeymoon? He told me that it was fine and that he and Nancy made love almost all through and he asked how was yours? I said it was fine actually, I added it went almost the same way yours did. Just then one of the maids at Diana’s parents house came to inform us that my parents and Diana’s parents wanted to talk with me I looked back at Daniel and he said I should go ahead that he would be waiting for me when I was done and he added that would give me the opportunity to make the calls we talked about and so I left him at the pool and went into the house.
