Diana’s POV

In the evening on a day to my wedding, I received a call from Lillian saying that she just arrived in New York from Washington DC and that she was coming over to my apartment. I told her to come with some food and she said just left the house and I told her to come with a pizza that I was hungry and she asked where are you? I said what do you mean where am I? She said that she wanted to know if I was at my own place or at my parent’s house. I told her that I was at my apartment and we ended the call. Then about 30 minutes later I heard a knock on my door and I went to open and standing at my doorway was Lillian with the pizza I asked her to buy. I collected the pizza from her and opened it and wanted to start eating when a girl about Lillian’s age came into my apartment behind Lillian and she said that she is a huge fan of mine. Then Lillian said oh sorry Diana meet my friend Joan and Joan meet my friend who is sponsoring me through school Diana Robinson. We shook hands and I said nice to meet you Joan and she said likewise and Lillian asked so what are you going to do on your last night as a single lady? I said that I was just going to stay indoors and read a book or something and she asked are you serious? I said yes deadly serious. She said come on Diana on your last night as a single lady you are supposed to live a little, go on a bar crawl, etc. I told her that I don’t have time for such that after the wedding, I have to go back to work and Joan asked work after your wedding? I said yes and she said no honeymoon? Then I said come to think of it I haven’t discussed it with Charles. I was about to pick up my phone and call Charles when Lillian snatched my phone from me and said you aren’t calling him to tell him such crap. She continued, from the beginning of time, every couple that have gotten married always go on a honeymoon and you aren’t going to be the exception and besides do you know where he is right now? I nodded my head in the negative and she said probably enjoying his last day as a single man. I said you know what? Screw it I am going out like you said and Lillian jumped up and said that’s the spirit. I went to freshen up and get dressed for a night out with my ladies. After dressing up, I said so who is going to be our designated driver? And Lillian said she would do the job and I asked do you know what the job entails? She said it means no alcohol for me and I said yeah you’ve got it. We left my apartment and visited almost all the major clubs and bars I didn’t drink too much because I had my wedding to think of tomorrow. Oh yeah we invited Nancy but she said she was busy and couldn’t make it and after a whole night of fun, we retired to my apartment around 12 am to sleep. I showed Lillian and her friend Joan to the spare rooms and I left them and went to sleep in my own room.

Charles’s POV

I was in my office a day to my wedding, when I received a call from my secretary that I had visitors. I told her to send them in and when I looked up from my computer screen, I saw that it was William and Henry Lillian’s brothers. I then welcomed them and told them to have their seats on the sofa. When I was done with my work, I said to William so how’s MIT treating you? He said that he loves the school but that it was very stressful and I said don’t worry you’d get used to it and I asked them to what do I owe this august visit? They said that they were here to take me out to enjoy my last night as a single man. I told them that I don’t really have time for that and that in fact I had a whole load of work to do. I even said that I was thinking of cancelling my honeymoon. And William said have you discussed that with Diana? I said no that I was planning to after the wedding. William said not to try it unless I didn’t want Diana to forgive me. I asked him what do you mean? He said that a friend of his father’s god rest his soul did what you are trying to do and it backfired big time. He continued he and his wife are divorced today and added if you don’t want Diana to divorce you after just one month of marriage please shelve that plan of yours. I took his advice and he said do you know where your fiancée is right now? I said I had no idea and he and his brother said probably enjoying her last night as a single lady. Then on second thought, I decided to go with them saying it might be fun. We visited most of the clubs in the city of New York but I didn’t drink at all because I had my wedding tomorrow. After our gentlemen’s night out I took the guys home before retiring to my apartment to sleep.
