Rudolf’s POV

A day to my daughter’s wedding to Charles Anderson, I went to see his father my very good friend John in his house along with my wife. We went with the limousine and when we got to their house, the guard at the gate asked my driver who was in the back seat and once I wound down the glass he said oh it’s you because I had gone to the Anderson mansion many times before but not with the current driver. Then the guard let us into the vast compound, when the driver pulled over, Charles’s mother came to welcome I and my wife. I asked so where’s your husband? She said that he was at his garden at the back of the house. I asked if she could get someone to go call him? Due to the fact that I had a phobia for insects and she said sure then she called one of the maids at their house and told her to go call her husband that his in-laws are here to see him. Then my wife joked that we are not in-laws yet until the kids are married and she said oh come off it Martha the kids are already practically married. Just then, John came from his garden and asked what can I do for you? I stood and gave him a hug and whispered into his ears we have something important to discuss. He said excuse us ladies but men have things to discuss. He led me to his home office and I took a seat he sat opposite me and offered me a Cuban cigar I told him that I don’t smoke anymore and he said really? I said really on my doctor’s advice and he asked me so what was so important that you had to leave the comfort of your house to come see me today? I asked him after the kids are married when are we going to announce the merger? He laughed and said is that what’s bothering you my friend? I said not like it’s bothering me but I just wanted to know. He said let’s see the kids are getting married tomorrow right? I said yes you are correct. He said we would put it out through the media on Monday and after the kids return from their honeymoon, they would come and sign the paper work that concerns the merger and I asked him if he had informed the board of his company because I had informed mine and he said yes that he had. I told him thank you and stood about to take my leave when he said wouldn’t you like to stay for dinner? I said I’d have to discuss that with my wife first and he said okay go on and ask her. I left John’s office and went in search of my wife and I found her in front of the Anderson’s pool with Mary John’s wife and I asked can I talk to you? She said yes and stood and walked towards me and I asked so john invited us to dinner and I wanted to ask you first before saying anything. She said really Mary just asked me the same thing and I asked her what do we do? She said we should accept and so I went back to John’s office to inform him about our decision.

Martha’s POV

I and my friend Mary Charles’s mother went into the kitchen at their house and we started to prepare the dinner. After about two hours, we were done and I asked her where can someone get a shower around here? She said are you that dirty? I told her yes that it isn’t easy to cook the meal both our husbands are going to eat and besides I’m sweaty. She looked back at me and she said you are really sweaty. Then she took me to her bedroom and showed me the bathroom I went in and soaked myself in a bath in her bath tub and I fell asleep there for about 15 minutes. When I woke up, I stood up from the bath tub and went to the shower cubicle to rinse all the soap and bath salts off my body. Later on I walked out of the bathroom to find a beautiful red dress on the bed with a note on top of it. The note said thanks for cooking with me; the dress is a token of my gratitude from your best friend Mary. I smiled and wore the dress and I walked out of the room and made my way to the dining room. Dinner was sumptuous by the way as everyone on the table complemented the food. Then John Charles’s father said I wonder what the kids are doing right now? My husband said probably enjoying their last night as singles and everyone laughed. After dinner, I and my husband excused ourselves telling Charles’s parents that we have to return home in order for us to be ready for the kids wedding tomorrow and they walked us out of the house. We got into the car and we waved them goodbye. We got home safely and I and my husband went to sleep.
