Rita’s POV

I came home from my check up on that day and found out that my son Henry had cooked a delicious meal. I went on to serve myself and was about to start eating when he came down from his room. He said hi mum and I responded hi son and he asked me do you know who cooked that food you are about to eat? I said no but I suspected it was you. He said I should taste the food and tell him who cooked it. I did and I said this food couldn’t have been cooked by you I dropped the spoon and asked now tell me who cooked this food? He said it was Diana Robinson and I nearly choked on the food and I started coughing he said sorry mum and went to get me a glass of water. I asked again who cooked this food and he said it was Diana that her and her fiancée came here a couple of hours ago to invite us to their wedding and that when they came in I was about to find something to eat and she offered to cook for me and that was how the food came about. I asked him have you called your brother and sister to inform them about their wedding? He said he had called William but that he wanted me to call Lillian. I told him to go bring me my phone and he did and I put a call through to Lillian. She picked up and I could hear a whole lot of noise at the background. She apologised for the noise and I said you should have let it go to voicemail. She said I don’t do that to anyone most especially my mother and she found a quieter place and asked so what’s up? I told her that Charles and Diana are getting married three days from now and that they invited our family to the day. She said I know that in fact Diana called her a few days ago to inform me. I asked would you be available on that day? She said I wouldn’t miss it for the world. I asked who were those making that noise earlier? She said that she was at a party I told her to focus on her studies and stop attending parties and she said yes mum we talked about a few more things before we hung up the call.

Lillian’s POV

A day to Diana’s wedding to Charles; I had parked my things on my way from school going home and my roommate Joan asked me where are you going? I told her that I was going for a friend’s wedding. She asked which friend? I told her that I was going for my friend Diana Robinson’s wedding and she said wait you know Diana Robinson? I told her yes I know her and she asked me can I come? With those poppy eyes of hers. I couldn’t say no and so we left school for the wedding. I bought two plane tickets for us to go from Washington were our school was located to New York were the wedding was taking place. Just before we left the school compound, I met Nate at the school gate. He said that he wanted to invite me to a wedding and I told him that I was currently on my way home and he said too bad that he really wanted me to attend the wedding at his side. Then we exchanged numbers before I and Joan departed the school. When we got to the airport, the whole place was jam-packed with people and I asked Joan is this how this place is usually? She said that only on the weekends because we were travelling on a Friday that that’s how it is usually on the weekends. We finally made it to our flight and we sat side by side in the aircraft. We made it to New York and at the airport to come pick us up was my brother Henry. He helped us with our luggage and he was standing like he was expecting someone else and Joan asked him are you expecting anyone else? He said yes that he was expecting his brother William. I corrected don’t you mean our brother? He said sorry I mean our brother. Just then William came from behind us and put his hand on my shoulder and I almost jumped out of my skin. I turned around and saw him and he gave me a hug. He that’s William apologised for giving me a fright. Then I introduced my brothers to Joan and they all exchanged handshakes before Henry said now that we are all here and acquainted let’s go. He led us outside to mum’s car I wanted to ask if he had started driving but when we approached the car I saw a driver on the driver’s seat. Henry put our luggage in the trunk of the car and we were on our way home with Henry in the front seat and I, Joan and William at the back. On the ride home, I saw that Joan was enjoying the road trip admiring the tall buildings in the Big Apple. Then William asked her first time in New York? She said yes that she lived most of her life in Washington DC. After a journey that took about an hour due to the traffic, we finally arrived at our house. Mum was so glad to see us and I introduced her to Joan saying mum meet my best friend Joan and Joan this is my mother. They shook hands and I went in to the house to freshen up. After taking a shower, I came to the living room and told my mother that I was going to Diana’s house to help in the preparation for the wedding and Joan asked can I come? I told her yes that she could come with me and my brothers asked can we come also? I told them no that if they wanted to go anywhere they should go and help Charles in his preparation for the wedding and with that I and Joan left the house in the car that Charles got for me.
