Lillian’s POV

I resumed my studies at Johns Hopkins University to get my medical degree all thanks to Diana. I arrived the school on resumption day and the first place I went to was the office of the dean of the medical school. He asked me for my name and I gave it to him and he said you are the one being sponsored by Diana Robinson right? I said yes and he told me welcome and added if you are being sponsored by Robinson enterprises, you must be very intelligent because that company doesn’t sponsor dullards. Then I told him thanks for the complements and that I would work very hard in order to repay the faith that Diana placed on me. He gave me my study pack and he asked me if I would like to stay on campus or off campus. I told him that I’d love to stay on campus so I could use the school’s library and labs anytime I wanted. He said I knew it you are one of the brilliant ones and he picked up his phone and called someone and asked them to come to his office and after 15 minutes, a young lady of about my age walked in. The dean introduced her as Joan the class representative of my class of students. He told her to take me on a tour of the school and show me around and he also told her to get me a hostel accommodation on campus after the tour. Joan and I left the dean’s office and she took me around the school showing me all the need to know places. We first of all visited the library and she said this is the most up to date library in the whole country and I asked are you sure about that? Then she said sorry I mean the most up to date school library in the country. She took me to the labs where experiments were carried out and she introduced me to all the lab attendants. After we left the labs, she took me to the cafeteria and luckily for us it was lunch time and she went and ordered for some food for us to eat. While we were eating, some three guys walked into the cafeteria and everyone gave them way. Their leader came to our table and asked Joan what about what we discussed? Joan said I’ll never go out with you and added when are you going to get that into that thick scull of yours. Then he looked my way and said hay pretty, I am one of the richest guys in this school mind rolling with me? Joan said that’s the reason I wouldn’t go out with you that cocky attitude of yours. She added imagine meeting a girl for the first time and telling her that you are one of the richest guys on campus and she continued who cares? The guy said don’t mind her she’s just jealous and Joan said am not and he said are too. I told them to stop bickering like two little children. He said my name is Nate that’s short for Nathaniel what’s yours? I told him that my name is Lillian and he said nice to meet you Lillian with his hand stretched out for a hand shake I shook him and he said would be seeing you around Lillian and he was on his way. After our meal, Joan took me to the hostel and luckily for me I was sharing a room with her and I asked her what happened to your former roommate? She said that she just graduated and I said congratulations to her. We then sat on the bed in the room and she asked so what are your aims and objectives for coming to this school? I told her that I wanted to graduate at the top of my class and that I’d like to specialise in virology and vaccine development and she said you are my new best friend and added that that’s what she would like to specialise in also. So on my first day at johns Hopkins University I made a good friend. I received a call from Diana she wanted to know if I had settled in at the university I told her yes and she said that my wedding is in seven days and was just wondering if you would be attending? I told her that I wouldn’t miss it for the world.

Daniel’s POV

After the little misunderstanding I had with Nancy, we flew back to Boston from New York. Then our wedding preparations began in Ernest. We went to the church where my parents got married and told the priest that we would like to get married in his church because Nancy and I were both Catholics. He told us that we were welcome and he asked us the date we would like to get married? Nancy said that we would like to get married in three days time and he checked his schedule and said you are in luck I’m free on that day. Then he asked us where are the rings? I brought out mine and Nancy brought out hers and he collected and blessed them before returning them to us and told us would be seeing you in three days time. Then on our way out of the priest’s office I asked Nancy where she would like to hold the wedding reception? She said let’s hold it at your parents house and I agreed and later on I drove her to her father’s house. Then three days later we were married in front of all our family and friends and Charles was at my side as my best man and Diana was at Nancy’s as her bride’s maid. Nancy’s father walked her to the alter and I saw the look of joy on both Nancy and her father’s face because not up to a month ago he was still in a coma and no one thought that he would be standing here not to talk of walking his daughter down the aisle. At the wedding reception, it was time to give the toast and Nancy’s father took the microphone. He said how proud he was of his daughter not giving up when he was in a coma and through all the maltreatments she suffered in the hands of her step mother she went to school and got a degree. He added most people would have given up and committed suicide when they were going through the maltreatment meted on her but she stayed strong. He took up his glass and said to my baby who has today become a woman may you have all the joy this life has to offer and all the attendees clicked their glasses together and said Amen. While her father was speaking I saw a little tear fall from Nancy’s eyes. Then her father called my father to the stage and they whispered something into each other’s ears and they said now to the most important announcement, your wedding today is not just to join the both of you in the bonds of holy matrimony, it is also to join our two companies together in order to make them stronger and then my father said as from today, Malcolm Industries which is our family company would be merged with Benedict enterprises which is Nancy’s family company. He further said that due to the fact that we had more money in the merger, that he was appointing me CEO and Nancy was to be my deputy. The time to cut the cake came and I called all the people who mattered to me and Nancy did same on my side I had my mum and dad and my younger brother and Charles while Nancy had her father and Diana and we cut the cake in the name of the Holy Trinity. We had to wait to go on our honey moon because Charles and Diana were getting married three days after us. This was because I was to be his best man while Nancy was to be Diana’s bride’s maid.
