Charles’s POV

After Daniel was married to Nancy, I and Diana returned to New York to plan our own wedding. When we arrived I asked Diana so where would you like us to get married? She said that she would like us to get married at the largest Catholic Church in the state. I asked why? She said that she wanted everyone who mattered in the state and by a large extent the country to be in attendance. I told her okay let’s go to the church and when we arrived the priest welcomed us and offered us seats in his office and he asked so how may I help you? Diana said that we wanted to get married in his church and he asked oh so you two are a couple? We both nodded in the affirmative and he asked so when would you like to get married? I said in three days time and he checked his schedule and said you are in luck I’m free on that day and Diana asked would the church also be free on that day? He checked again and said yes. We stood up and exchanged handshakes with the priest before leaving his office. I drove Diana home and when she was about to get out of the car, she asked me where would you like to have the wedding reception? I answered at your parent’s house and she asked why? I told her that the house could take almost and if not all our guests and besides her mum could help organise the reception and she agreed with me. She said in fact let me call her now. So she pulled out her cell phone and placed a call to her mother, she put the phone on speaker and she picked up. Diana said hi mum and her mother responded hi sweetie what can I do for you? Diana said mum what are you trying to say? Her mother said you don’t call me unless you want something so spit it out and Diana went on to apologise to her mother for not calling her and promised to call more often and Diana said mum Charles is right here with me and the woman said hi Charles and I said hi mum. Diana said the reason why I called was to ask you if I can use the mansion for my wedding reception and Diana’s mother asked when are you getting married again? Diana said in three days time but you should know that. Diana’s mother said you know me with my forgetful attitude. She said that I and Diana should come to the house for further plans. Diana and her mother discussed many other things before they hung up the call.

Diana’s POV

After the call with my mother I suggested to Charles that we go see her today and he agreed. We were still seated in his car so he put the key in the ignition and we were off to my parent’s house. When we got there I met my mother sitting in front of the pool and I greeted hi mum and she responded hi dear. She said I should take a seat beside her I did and we started discussing. Then Charles came from parking his car and joined us and mum said welcome my son I hear that you want to use my house for your wedding reception? Charles said yes mum and she said that she would help organise it. I looked around but didn’t see my father anywhere and I asked my mum so where’s dad? She said that your father hasn’t come home for two days now and I asked why? She said that he is planning a big board meeting for the day after you two return from your honeymoon referring to I and Charles. I pulled out my phone and called my father and he picked up I said hi dad he responded hi darling and I asked him why he hasn’t come home for two days and he said same thing mum said and I asked if he was taking care of his health and he said yes don’t worry about me. We went on to discuss various topics before we hung up the call. I told mum that dad’s okay and I excused myself and told her that we that’s I and Charles have so many other things to do in preparation for our wedding and we left the house. On our way home I asked Charles if he had called Lillian’s brother the artist to come draw the portrait of us on our wedding day. He said no that he was planning to go to their house after dropping me at home. I said lets go together and he changed direction to Lillian’s house.
