Diana’s POV

After I had gone to make the payment for Lillian’s mother to begin her chemotherapy, I and Charles sat in the hospital waiting area while Lillian went to sit at her mother’s bedside. All we could do was wait as the doctor told us that once the drip they were administering to Lillian’s mother finished she would wake up and that would be in two hours. Every 30 minutes since we left the doctor’s office, either I or Charles went into Lillian’s mother’s hospital room to check on them. Two hours later, I went into the hospital room and I found the most beautiful sight. Lillian’s mother was awake and she was rubbing her daughter’s hair lovingly as Lillian was asleep on the chair with her head on the bed. I wanted to excuse myself to go and call Charles and the doctor, but she stopped me and said please my daughter come closer. I went closer to her and she sat up on the bed and said thank you for saving my life. I said you are welcome and I asked how did you know I saved your life? She said that her daughter told her I said oh okay. Just then the doctor walked in along with Charles and the doctor checked out Lillian’s mother and he said right now you are ready to go and a wheelchair was brought into the room and Lillian and I lifted her up off the bed and placed her on the wheelchair and Charles helped to push her to the chemo therapy room.

Lillian’s POV

When the drip that was connected to my mother’s arm was about to finish, I noticed that she was regaining consciousness. She told me to go home I said that I was staying with her until she got out of the hospital. Just then Charles walked in and asked how’s the patient? I told him that she is fine and it was almost time she regained consciousness. He said okay that he just came to check on us and he asked me do you need anything maybe a cup of coffee? I said no that I’m fine. As soon as he walked out of the room, my mother asked me so tell me the details? I asked her details about what? She said the details on the relationship between you and that good looking and handsome hunk of a man and I asked her do you really want to know? She said yes and I told her the truth that he was a guy that I was paid to tarnish his name. When I said this, she sat up on the bed and asked what do you mean? I said that I needed the money for her hospital treatment and so I met a guy who said that he would pay me the money if I could put a fake pregnancy on him and she asked and you did it? I said that I had to and she said I’m very disappointed in you. I went on my knees and told her how sorry I was for doing such because she had trained me to be a God fearing lady. She said I forgive you now tell me why is he caring for me and you like this? I said that he and his fiancée are very good people and that in fact it was his fiancée Diana Robinson who was paying for her chemotherapy treatment. She said oh so that young man is Charles Anderson? I said yes and asked but how did you know? She said I read something in the newspaper about his engagement to Diana and that’s my mother for you always reading the newspaper. After a while I fell asleep on the chair with my head on the bed and I felt my mother’s hand rubbing my hair. Diana walked into the room and had a conversation with my mother. After a few minutes the doctor walked in and I sat up and he proceeded to check my mother’s vitals and after the check Charles wheeled my mother to the chemo therapy room and so my mother started her chemo therapy treatment. After that day, Charles and Diana were regular visitors at the hospital as they came to check on my mother and I. whenever they visited it gave me the opportunity to go home and grab a change of clothes and a bite to eat. After four weeks of undergoing intensive chemotherapy treatment my mother was released from the hospital but was told to return for regular checkups. When my mother was in the hospital, Diana told me to come see her in her office once my mother was released.
