Charles’s POV

Paul came to me in the observation room where I was watching his interrogation of Lillian Benson and he asked me what I’d like to do with her? I told him to give me some time that I’d like to make a phone call and he told me to take all the time I need that he would be here waiting when I was done. So I walked out of the observation room and once I was in the corridor I put a call through to Diana my fiancée and she picked on the third ring. I said hi babe and she said don’t you babe me. I asked are we quarrelling? She said yes and I asked why? She asked how many days has it been since you called or texted me? I apologised profusely for that and I told her that I’ve been busy meeting the major shareholders of the company and she said that that’s no excuse, that when you love someone you make time for them. She asked me is this how it’s going to be when we are married? She added if so I don’t want to marry you anymore. I pleaded with her to forgive me and promised that it wouldn’t happen again and she said it had better not. She asked now why did you call me? I told her that I went to see my friend Paul and I asked her you remember Paul don’t you? She said Paul your friend who is a detective with the NYPD, That’s one of the things I love most about Diana her retentive memory. I said yes and she asked me so why did you go to see Paul? I said that it was in respect of the lady who said I got her pregnant. She asked me well so what happened? I said that I got her arrested and that she was at the police precinct right now. Diana flared up and said that she was on her way. I told her calm down cowgirl and I proceeded to tell her everything that Lillian said to Paul in the interrogation room. From the fact that her mother was sick with cancer, and that she only did it for the money. Diana asked so who paid her to defame you? I said that you are never going to believe it if I told you and she said just tell me. I told her that it was Kenneth Henry. Diana exclaimed that son of a B. H! She asked have the police gone to arrest that bastard? I said not yet that we still have to decide what to do about Lillian. Diana asked me do you want to press charges against her? I told her no not really and that after hearing her story I felt pity for her. Diana said that she would like to meet Lillian, I told her to come on down to the police precinct and we ended the call. I went to see Paul and I told him thank you for what you did for me today and he told me that it was nothing and that what are friends for. I told him to go and arrest Kenneth Henry with my permission and he gathered his officers and they were on their way to arrest him.

Pauls POV

We arrived at Kenneth Henry’s house but there was no one there except for his wife and a maid. I asked her were her husband was and she said ex-husband. I said to her sorry I didn’t know that you were divorced and she told me that the man couldn’t keep it in his pants. She asked why are you looking for him by the way? I told her that I came to arrest him for deformation and she asked me who did he defame? I said that he paid a young lady to defame Charles Anderson. She told me that she didn’t know where he was and that if she did she would tell me. I gave her my card and told her that if she hears from him she should let me know and with that I and my officers left Kenneth Henry’s house.

Kenneth’s POV.

I was in my hotel room smoking a joint when I received a call from the maid at my EX-wife’s house, telling me that the police was just here and that they were looking for me. And I asked her why? But she couldn’t give me a coherent answer. And I told her never mind and hung up the call. After that call I was wondering which of my sins had come back to haunt me. Then I put a call through to my contact in the police department and I asked him what I was wanted for? He said to give him some time to figure out what I needed. After about five minutes he called me back and said that I was wanted for defaming Charles Anderson. I asked him what evidence they had? He told me that the lady I paid to do the job confessed. I told him to kill her make it look like an accident I don’t care. But then he dropped the bombshell he told me that her and her family had been put into witness protection. My phone dropped from my hand onto the floor and shattered into pieces and I screamed Diana! All my plans to destroy you have failed. I parked all my belongings and headed to the U.S.-Mexico border. I had a guy who could smuggle me to the Mexico side. But in a classic case of things getting from bad to worse, I was caught at the border with $5,000,000 my last money on earth. The authorities believed that I was going to acquire illegal drugs to be sold in the U.S. I was charged to court and after a six week trial, sentenced to 25 years in prison.
