Paul’s POV

After I and my officers left Kenneth Henry’s house, I decided to put out a nationwide warrant for his arrest. And imagine my surprise to find out a few minutes later that he was caught at the U.S.-Mexico border with a huge sum of money. I arrived at the police precinct to find out that Diana had joined Charles at the station. They told me that they had decided not to press charges against Lillian. I was indeed happy for the young lady because she didn’t deserve to go to jail for trying to save her mother’s life. Diana asked me how goes the haunt for Kenneth Henry? I told her you wouldn’t believe it and she said just tell me. I told her that we went to his house and we met his ex-wife and she told us that she didn’t know where he was and I saw the look of disbelief in her face and she asked me is that all? I told her you didn’t let me finish and she said oh sorry please continue. I said that I decided to put out a nationwide warrant for his arrest and just a few minutes ago I got confirmation that he was arrested at the U.S.-Mexico border with a huge amount of cash. She asked me what was he doing with all that money? I said that the authorities in Texas believed that he was going to Mexico to acquire drugs which would be sold in this country. She said but it looks like you don’t believe that. I said no not really that I believe that he was running away to avoid being arrested for his crime in trying to defame your fiancée and I said well we are lucky and Diana asked how? I said if we had arrested him and charged him to court and he was convicted, he would spend a maximum of three years in prison but for the crime of trafficking in drugs, the least he could get was ten years if the prosecuting counsel wasn’t that good. Diana asked to see Lillian and I asked her why she wanted to do that? She said that she wanted to offer to take care of her mother’s hospital bills and that she also wanted to offer her a scholarship and maybe later a job. I led her to the interrogation room where we were holding Lillian Benson.

Diana’s POV

When I walked into the interrogation room where the police were holding Lillian, my heart dropped. As sitting before me was a young lady in tears and her head was bowed. I then cleared my throat and she looked up at me and I asked her do you know who I am? And she sniffed and with a shaky voice, she said yes you are Diana Robinson only daughter of Rudolf and Martha Robinson and current CFO of Robinson enterprises. I told her good you know me from the media perspective and I asked her do you know that the man you tried to defame is my fiancée? She started crying all over again and she apologised saying that she only did it to save her mother’s life and I said I know. I asked her that you know if it was another person you tried to do this to you would have been charged to court by now? She said yes and that she was wondering why she hadn’t been charged yet and I told her that it was because the person you tried to defame has a good heart and he decided not to press charges against you. I told her that he was in the room with us right now and she looked behind me and saw Charles standing there. She went on her knees and begged us to please forgive her and we told her that from the bottom of our hearts we have forgiven her and she stood up from the floor and wiped her tears. I asked her I heard you need some money for your mother’s cancer treatment? She said yes but that she would get it through legal means. I offered to pay for her mother’s treatment and she refused saying that what I and Charles have done for her by not pressing charges against her is enough. I told her that it’s no bother and that I would like to offer her a scholarship to go back to school that’s if she wanted to and maybe later a job in my company. She got all emotional and started crying a fresh and she asked you would do all this for me? I said that it’s no bother at all. I stood up and was about to take my leave and she stopped me by asking but why are you doing all this? I said that if my father wasn’t rich I wondered what I’d be doing and besides, my mother taught me never to repay evil with evil. I and Charles took our leave but before that he asked Lillian if she would like us to take her home. She refused but after some convincing by me she agreed and we were on our way to her house.
