“Hmm… Chief Chris, you billed for your own destruction and you must definitely pay for it.” Mr. Martins concluded literarily and he walked out of the room, Daniel, Henry and I walked behind him as the stage light faded gradually but spontaneously.

______ THE INTERMISSION______

*NEXT DAY*

LOCATION: GENERAL HOSPITAL

Mr. Martins drove professionally into the hospital premises, he parked in the garage and we all alight from the car. It was just few minutes past ten in the morning and the nature was quite unfriendly and aloof as it scorned her face unhappily, the cloud was impregnated with water, the sky changed colours, the claps of thunders could be heard from afar, hawkers and walkers ran helter-skelter to seek for hideouts, the traders hurrily packed their wares into their stores and kept their heads in their respective stores, a woman ran after her stubborn child who was really enjoying his leisure time playing the sand and another woman barked at her child whom she instructed to ran after the poultry birds, everybody thought it would rain. Shortly afterward, the cloud began to get back to herself, her charming and amiable smile reflected again, her gentleness recaptured and everything get back to it normal self and it never rains.

“What a world of suspense!” An old man exclaimed as he shook his head in despair.

Mr. Martins, Daniel, Henry, Chief Chris, Mama and I walked into the hospital premises, Mr. Martins approached the receptionist, they talked serenely, so their conversation couldn’t be narrated, at the concluding part of their conversation, the two laughed at each other and the shook hand delightfully.

“Let go.” Mr. Martins instructed fixing his gaze at Chief Chris.

“Like I said earlier, don’t try to act funny, and don’t forget I’m once a trained soldier, so if you act funny I won’t hesitate to kill you.” Mr. Martins whispered into Chief Chris left ear, Chief Chris said nothing, he was dumbstruck and speechless.

“I’m just doing things at my own will, you can’t force me to do things against my wish, I have regretted my actions and I want to confess to life before my death, even if you don’t kill me, what will kill me will surely come soon.” Chief Chris riposted whispering.

“Hmm… nice composition, if I may ask, why don’t you just kill yourself rather than following my rash instructions which you know will surely lead to you falling in the end.” Mr. Martins asked suspiciously.

“I’m only doing this just to teach people like me that ‘it’s good to be good’, but if I kill myself or you kill me, my misdeeds would only be concealed secrets, but if I confess to the world before my death, I’m very sure the news will go viral and it would be blockbuster on every social medias, newspapers and movies and would equally teach those that tend to learn from my misdeeds.” Chief Chris replied but Mr. Martins ignored him. Not less than a minute on silent, Mr. Martins broke the uninviting silence.

“What the hell are you waiting for? She’s waiting for you.” Mr. Martins concluded whispering as Chief Chris led the way to the Doctor’s office and Mr. Martins walked behind him.

DOCTOR VICKY’s OFFICE

KNOCK! KNOCK!!

“Yes come in the door is open.” Doctor Vicky permitted allowing her guest into her well and nicely decorated office. Chief Chris and Mr. Martins entered the office, Doctor Vicky offered them seats and she also sat down on her small throne.

“Doctor, it seems I know you somewhere.” Mr. Martins observed.

“Me? No, I don’t think that’s possible because I’ve never see your face.” Doctor Vicky rebutted smiling.

“I think that will be a discussion of another day, so let down to business.” Mr. Martins ended the conversation and started a new one afresh.

“Chief, the woman you’re paying her hospital bills, she miraculously wake up from coma.” Doctor Vicky announced and paused.

“And she’s perfectly okay now, we’ve carried out series of tests on her and she seems perfectly alright, so we can discharge her even if you insist you are taking her now.” Doctor Vicky announced happily.

“What a relief.” Mr. Martins sighed.

“Can we go and see her?” Mr. Martins asked smiling.

“Sure.” Doctor Vicky replied, she rose on her feet and Mr. Martins led the way out of the office, behind him walked Chief Chris and behind them walked Doctor Vicky as she slammed the door behind herself.

MOTHER’S V.I.P WARD

“Oh my God! Who am I seeing?” Mama exclaimed in disbelief, she rose on her feet and she ran to be she hugged and embraced me avidly.

“Ola I missed you.” Mama voiced out as tears rolled down her cheeks.

“I missed you more mother.” I riposted but in tears.

Not less than a minute, Mama hugged me firmly and passionately. Shortly, the main door to the ward opened slowly and here came Chief Chris standing at the doorstep with tears in his eyes. Mama slowly disengaged from me and she faced puzzled Chief Chris.

“Ah!” She screamed loudly holding her head with her hands.

LOCATION: MCRONALD RESORT AND BAR

TIME: 12: 54PM

Mr. Martins drove the 8-seaters Sienna into the premises; Princess and Angel were already sited waiting for their father, on the table in front of them; a 5 alive fruit juice and two empty glass cups could be seen, Princess and Angel dressed gorgeously and stunningly, they looking like an Angel in their pick gowns. Mr. Martins parked the car in the garage and we all alight from the car.

“Your daughters are waiting for you.” Mr. Martins notified pointing at Princess and Angel. Chief Chris ran to them and they were really delighted to see their father, they hugged him passionately and he did same.

“Enough of this drama.” Mr. Martin uttered from behind and Chief Chris slowly disengaged from her daughters.

“Be sited.” Mr. Martins commanded and we all got ourselves a chair to sit.

“Father what’s going on here?” Angel asked suspiciously.

“Ola.” Princess called but I ignored her.

“My love can perish, I care less.” I thought.

“Should I say some people are uncaringly wicked and callous? What a world of injustice! Chief Chris, it would have been better if your daughters know the true you, but it was quite unfortunate that they are only seeing the other side of you. Because of material wealth, you spoilt the life of many, you ruined happy homes, you executed many souls you this worldly death.” Mr. Martins paused angrily.

“I don’t seem to get what’s going on here.” Angel vocalized confusingly and impatiently.

“So can you now open your disgusting mouth and speak up or you want me to open it for you?” Mr. Martins asked directing his statement to Chief Chris.

“What do you want me to say? No, you just tell me, after all I’ve did? Martins I will accept every possible punishment for my misdeeds even if it’s death.” Chief Chris rebutted and vowed.

“I know you won’t be able to talk… I’m not really expecting you to open up that easily, but I would help you do that…” Mama paused.

“The story goes thus…” Mama narrated.
