LOCATION: FMAC BAR AND RESORT CENTRE

Formerly Corporal Martins of the Army Force entered the above named location, the place was quite odd and anomalous because it was always rowdy with people, he located an empty sit and he sat down quietly, he called the bartendant and he yawn loudly.

“Barman!” Corporal Martins called alarmingly, and the barman rushed down to Mr. Martins’ (Formerly Corporal Martins) sit.

“Good afternoon sir, please what can I offer you?” The bartendant greeted and asked delightfully.

“Hmm… give me a bottle of Farouz and a plate of pepper soup.” Mr. Martins ordered.

“Okay sir, I will be back in a jiffy.” The bartendant replied and he left to get Mr. Martin’s orders.

Few minutes later, the bartendant came back with a tray in his hand, he placed the tray on the plastic table infront of Mr. Martins and he served him professionally.

“Show me my bill?” Mr. Martins requested smiling.

“Sir, this is not five star hotel in Abuja, we don’t use voucher, we tell you what to pay for the services we render orally.” The bartendant riposted calmly.

“Funny you dude… so how much is my bill?” Mr. Martins commented and asked.

“1,150 naira sir.” The bartendant answered. Mr. Martins dipped his hand into his pocket and he handed over two notes of one thousand naira to the bartendant.

“Ha! I don’t think there’s change o sir.” The bartendant uttered looking at the clean naira notes in his hand.

“Don’t worry, you can have the change.” Mr. Martins uttered while trying to pulverize a stubborn bone that struck in his oesophagus.

“Thank you very much sir, I really appreciate.” The bartendant appreciated and Mr. Martins waved him off and he left the spot.

FORTY MINUTES LATER

Mr. Martins was done eating; he has a toothpick in his mouth and a bowl filled with water was placed infront of him.

“Why is he not here by now, I’m running out of time.” Mr. Martins murmured confusingly.

“Let me try his number.” Mr. Martins concluded. He dipped his hand into a pocket of his jean trouser, he brought out his Tecno w3, he scrolled through the contacts and he was able to fetch out the number, he dialed the number and it rang but it wasn’t picked, he tried the number over and over again, but all effort to reach him proved abortive.

“Why is he not picking my number? Is there a change of plan?” Mr. Martins soliloquized impatiently.

“If he is not coming, he should just tell me and stop wasting my precious time.” Mr. Martins continued.

“I think I will just leave.” He concluded, just as he was about to rose on his feet a voice came from behind.

“You don’t need to go sir, I’m here.” Now guess the speaker… 50% of readers following this story will still fail this simple test.
