“Daniel, Henry… Mother is not dead…” I voiced out with tears in my eyes.

“Ola… I don’t even know what to say.” Daniel uttered dumbstruck.

“Are you sure of what you’re saying?” Henry asked in disbelief.

“I’m 100% sure…” I replied inconclusively.

“I keep on having the spirit that she is alive… I find it hard to believe she is dead, but Ola, how and where did you see her? How is she?” Daniel asked unhappily.

“I saw her at the red cap soldier’s territory; there, she’s receiving the beating and torturing of her life, I don’t know her crime but I know the soldiers are totally unfriendly to her.” I elucidated sobbingly.

“But father was once a soldier, mother told me he was dismissed and murdered by some soldiers that conspired against him; I don’t know what his crime is that mother has to be punished for his misdeed.” Daniel uttered angrily.

“Dan, this is not the time for this, I once heard father was a soldier but I was in the dark side of the whole story back then when I was in SS 1.” Henry cautioned and paused.

“How’re we going to rescue mother? That suppose to be the question we have to work on.” Henry concluded looking at Dan and I simultaneously.

LOCATION: CHIEF CHRIS’ RESISDENT

“It is a love letter written by me to someone bearing Ola…. Dad, do you know or heard of anybody bearing ‘Ola’?”Princess asked unhappily.

“Ola? I don’t really know of any Ola, maybe you’re trying to refer to that Yoruba Indigenous Rapper, Olamide… I just don’t know.” Chief Chris riposted.

“Dad, have I ever been to school before?” Princess asked suspiciously. Chief Chris looked into her eyes, his face went sour and his jaw dropped, eyes soak with tears and mouth opened wide in agape. He tried to be a man but he was unable to hold the tears back.

“Yes… you’ve once a student of Comprehensive High School.” Chief Chris replied sobbingly, he rose on his feet and he left the sitting room for his room.

“Dad, I have more questions to ask.” Princess barked angrily and suspiciously but Chief Chris snubbed her and he went in his own way.

“Comprehensive High School?” Princess asked rhetorically.

“But why can I remember I once attended a school? Why does it seem my brain is vanished and empty? Why can’t I remember things? Why?” Princess murmured softly. Shortly, she broke down in tears.

FEW MINUTES LATER

KNOCK! KNOCK!!

“Who’s there?” Princess asked from inside.

“It’s me Angel.” Princess’ Sister answered from outside.

“Come and open the door for me.” Angel uttered from outside.

“Okay.” Princess answered, she sluggishly and weakly rose on her feet and she shambled to the door, she unlocked the door for Angel.

“Princess, what’s wrong with you?” Angel asked suspiciously.

“Nothing… I’m fine.” Princess lied.

“Good to hear that… please, can you kindly get me something chill to drink? I’m thirsty.” Angel requested and Princess shambled to the kitchen. In a minute, she came back to the sitting room with a tray, on the tray is a glass cup and a cold fruit juice, she placed the tray on the stool beside Angel and she served Angel with a cupful of the juice.

“Thank you my lovely sister.” Angel appreciated and she toke a sip of the juice.

“Princess, you’re not like this, what’s wrong with you? You look cold and disturbed, talk to me, I’m your sister” Angel noticed and consoled.

“Sister, father told me I was once a student of Comprehensive High School…” Princess began but unfinished.

“What?” Angel exclaimed shockingly. She couldn’t believe her ears, the glass cup she was holding unknowingly dropped from her hand and it broke into pieces.

“How on earth could father tell her sure a thing?” Angel though disturbingly

“So, what did he say after that?” Angel asked with shaky voice.

“Nothing… he left me without uttering another statement… I tried to call him back but he just snubbed me as if I’m nothing.” Princess replied and Angel heaved a heavy sigh of relief.

“Sister… is something wrong with me? What am I even saying? I know and confirmed I’m not okay, I’m just physically okay but I am mentally disturbed and traumatized, I’m just like this, I can’t even remember things that had happened to me years back, I’m of no use, futile and worthless. Sister, what is wrong with my brain? Am I born like this or what? Say something my dearest sister.” Princess elucidated and asked alarming with tears in her eyes, Angel was confused and dumbstruck, she was helpless, she rose on her feet and she drew Princess closer to herself, she hugged her passionately and she also broke down in tears.
