Kelvin took Ukeh later that night and they travelled far until they got a house in the woods. Ukeh didn’t want to show that he was scared but deep down he was worried.

He stepped inside the house and was surprised to see people inside. Some white folks and some black men. They all look rich, even the blacks amongst them.

Where is this and why have you brought me here? Who are these men? Ukeh asked.

Calm down Ukeh. This is Frederick Douglas, This is William Llyoid Garrison, John Brown, Harriet Beecher and this is Angelina Grimke. Over there is Robert and James. As you can see they are both blacks. And we are all Abolitionists.

I don’t understand. How do you mean? And what is Abolitionist? Ukeh asks

Well, we are the ones fighting for the abolition of slave trade. We want it to end.

” Is that even possible? ” Ukeh asks and how is it possible for these black men to walk free amongst the white?

“Because they are free men, they are not slaves”

Ukeh was shocked. A free black man? How was that possible.

And James the black man started explaining.

“Well as a slave you can actually buy your freedom. You work for years and earn some good amount of money and then you can buy your freedom. Once you do that you become a free man.

Ukeh had never heard of this. But James continued.

But we do not want that anymore. Blacks have the right to live free. And so we stand to fight for the abolishment of slave trade. Our lives matter.

Ukeh was happy. ” I am happy hearing this but I have a question. Can we win this? We are in the black men’s land. We are few, how can we win this fight?

One of the white men stood and spoke. They are more than 50,000 and we are just about 3000+ but then we have Jesus with us. And with Him , we have Evey thing

Kelvin: So Ukeh, will you join us in this fight to stop slave trading so you can have your freedom and return home back to your family and be with your loved ones nice again.

“I gladly will” he said as he jumped up ready to move when they are.”

Kelvin smiled at him and at that point, Little Tom stepped out from the under chamber. They ran and embraces each other.

“Am glad to see you Bush, he said.

“Glad to see you too little Tom.

They both embraced, smiled and kept talking into the darkness.
