Some people are like clouds when they go away the day gets brighter..

I never knew my life was in danger, ever since I received the threat from Gbenga, it happens miraculously that the closeness between Adesewa and I became so intimate. Our friendship increased beyond my imagination. It didn’t came as surprise when she announced me has her best friend.

We were talking on phone one day and I choose to ask her about Gbenga cos she always seems not to talk about him.

Me: Adesewa… I have been wanting to ask you something.

Adesewa : yea, what is it?

Me: about Gbenga.

Adesewa : oh no please, I don’t want to talk about him.

Me: if am really your best friend as you say, you should be able to tell me something about your boyfriend.

Adesewa : really? Boyfriend? And what makes you think that he is my boyfriend.

Me: everyone knows.

Adesewa : he is not.

Me: how do you meet him.

Adesewa : his dad and my dad are childhood friends. They still believe in the olden days stuff.

Me: olden days stuff?

Adesewa : yea, their children should get married to each other to strengthen the friendship bond.

Me: oh, now I get it. Without even seeking your opinion about him.

Adesewa : my dad is a military man, he believe in force, he thinks he’s the right man for me.

Me: and what is it that you don’t like about him. Your commissioned boyfriend.

Adesewa : everything, I hate him with every passion in me. He believes money can buy everything, even love. I don’t love him. I can never spend the rest of my life with such a man.

Me: oh… Am not a love guru, so I won’t want to interfere with anything that has to do with love. Anyway am just understanding the term love…

Adesewa : hmm… My bestfriend used to be a bad boy and he’s still a bad boy , tell me, how many lady have you slept with? 50? Or is it 100?

Me: 99 and you are going to be the hundredth person if you keep pushing.

Adesewa :laughing * by next week , it would have reach 120. Am I guessing right?

Me: keep pushing big head.

Adesewa : *laughing * am not a big head, am off now, catch you later.

Me: and which day will you visit me at my place.?

Adesewa : your place ? I can’t visit you there.

Me: why?

Adesewa : I won’t want you to rape me.

I ended the call then lie flat on the bed. I entered my thinking mode not long but when the thinking is not enough, I began soliloquizing.

” and what should I call this… Why such a strange feeling… Could it be a feeling of love? Is this how it feels to be in love? This feelings is just so unexplainable. I think am in love with Adesewa. And why am I finding it difficult to tell her? Maybe because I’ve never tell a lady that I love her. All my feelings are base on lust. Goddamn it!! That’s why asking a lady out was so d--n easy. Love is a beautiful thing, I must admit. Ever since I unknowingly fell in love with Adesewa. My life began changing for good. Or maybe am only trying to impress someone by doing away with my ‘motherfuckers ‘. Maybe not. Maybe am doing it for love…

One beautiful Saturday morning taiwo and Michael payed me an unexpected visit.

Me: who am I seeing, they pursue una for house abi your rent don due?

Taiwo : which kind question be that self.

Michael : nothing much, we are here to say hi.

Me: did you guys help me see Adesewa.

Taiwo : she lost?

Me: no jare am just missing her.

Michael : when was the last time you speak with her?

Me: an hour ago.

Taiwo : and you are missing her?

Me: yes na.

Michael : don’t you know her papa house?

Me: am in love with Adesewa.

Me: I think I will just let her know the way I feel, if she say yes. My luck and if she say no. My bad.

The following week I made up my mind to pour all my heart to Adesewa, whether she accept me or not… Have never receive a NO, I pray she won’t be my first.

On Monday morning I was preparing for work when I heard a knock on my door. I opened the door and 2 men clad on black entered in.

Man 1: are you Mr Ayo.

Me: Yes how may I help you.

Man 2 : we are payed to kill you.

( pointing a gun at me)

Me: oh my God!!

Man 1: how dare you drag a lady with an honorable man.

Me: ahh please don’t kill me.

Men 2: any last word.

Before I could open my mouth to talk, one of them pull the trigger, and that was all I remembered
