Adesewa inviting me specially to her birthday means am specially important to her, or is it that she love me? Maybe she likes me, maybe she likes an idiot.

Immediately I closed for work I head directly to my friends place to quickly fill then up with the latest development.

When I got there, I met both of then sleeping like a castrated pig, their snoring is more like a grunting pig. I woke them up with a bucket of water after several hand beating attempt. The two of then woke up saying rubbish.

Michael : taiwo e be like say rain dey fall oo.

Tawio: e be like say na orographic rain ooo. abeg use umbrella cover me. Abeg

Me: e be like say two of una, don dey craz, no be only orographic rain, na conventional rain. Alaye wake up jare.

Michael : ay, so na you dey pour water

Me: baba clean your face and wake up.

Taiwo: ay, no mind Michael jare, I don’t no where e go see one crazy weed, wey he use cook soup. Na soup person chop ooo. We com dey like like koala.

Michael : you dey craz, I no tell you say weed dey for inside the soup abi, but the oju kokoro wey you get no go gree leave you. I swear na oju kokoro go kill you one day.

Me: e don do, I have good news for you guys?

Taiwo : se our project supervisor don die ni?

Me: No na your Course Adviser die, he chop rat poison.

Me: see mumu, nobody die jare.

Michael : wetin be the news jare ay

Me: we have a birthday party to go.

Taiwo : whose birthday party ?

Me: Adesewa.

Michael : like seriously

Me: I dey tell you.

Michael : so when is it?

Me: na tomorrow ooo

Taiwo : we must be there, make I go find cloth wey I go wear.

Michael : what time and venue?

Me: na dat popular hotel for junction. 7pm till mama calls.

Taiwo : naso, so how e go take be like this?

Me : se make I com meet you guys for house tomorrow evening ni abi you go com meet me for house, so that we go gather go together.

Michael : your house still near the venue, we go com meet you for house tomorrow, then we will go together.

Me: okay na.

Taiwo : abi you too go drink some soup?

Me: soup ke? Oboi I no drink ooo.

Michael : make you no go dey f--k your landlady abi.

Me: if you get tramadol give me, but me I no go taste that soup of yours.

Taiwo : only one spoon.

Me: you wan make thunder strike you abi. Guys I should be on my way now. Catch you guys later.

I left there place and head straightly to my house, after spending like an hour looking for a birthday outfit to wear, I rested on the bed imaging how tomorrow will look like,where as forgotten I will have to go to work before going to the birthday. I couldn’t sleep through out the night. I was just thinking of how the event will look like. after hours of thinking I slept around 4am in the morning.

I woke up around 6:30 am, a bit late to work, I quickly do some cleaning then head to the bathroom, and within 2 minutes am done.

I got to my station and everyone were wondering if I won a visa lottery cos with the way am smiling up and down the building, you will think maybe am in for a smiling competition. I closed for work around 3pm and I head to the super market to buy a gift for Adesewa, after surveying the items in the store, I was able to select a necklace chain for her, although its quite expensive, but she worth more than that to me. I bought a rapping paper then rap the gift up for her.

I got back home around 4pm. I quickly prepare my dinner, cos in an occasion like that, someone needs to be fully okay from home, cos the party food might not reach your side and to avoid story that touch, I need to stay fully okay.

Around 6:30pm tawio and Michael arrived at my place. Their dressing was of someone going to a presidential feast.

Me: o boi, I fall for this your outfit ooo.

Taiwo : abi na, u dey feel am abi

Me: I swear.

Michael : you know say na rich people go full there, so we no want anything wey go fall our hand so we have to kit up.

Taiwo : your dressing is not bad too.

Me: thank you.

Michael : this one wey you dress as if you wan go propose to a lady.

Me: leave me ooo, I don’t even know how am feeling self.

Michael : you don’t know how you are feeling? . I don tell you say you don fall in love with Adesewa.

Taiwo : I can see it clearly on your face.

Me: I can’t say yes and I can’t say no. Cos I definitely don’t know how it is to be in love.

Michael : really?

Me: yes, I just like Adesewa naturally. If am opportune to have her. I don’t know what will happen.

Michael : follow your heart, it is in the left side, but its always right.

Me: thank you. Can we all go now?

Taiwo : let go scatter the place meh.

Michael : bros taiwo, hope you never forget say her papa na General, make you no go do anyhow for there or else..

Me: we go just deny say we don’t know you ni.

We got to the venue around 7:20pm, you know Africa time of a thing. The party is about getting started when we got there, so we easily join in and look for a good central seat situated in a place very liable to food and drinks. Not long that a bottle drinks were saved to us and we were still chilling up with that when the celebrant entered accompany by bouncers and soldiers.

Michael : oboi, this girl fine die.

Taiwo : baje baje

Me: very beautiful.

Michael : Ay call her make she come greet the daddies here na abi taiwo wetin you say I talk?

Taiwo : yes na. Make she come greet her in-laws .

Me: very well then, let me go get her here.

I stand up from where i am and head directly to Adesewa.

Me: hello celebrant

Adesewa : wao Ayo, have been searching for you, I thought you didn’t come.

Me: why won’t I come. Can I get a hug from you?

Adesewa : sure.

We hugged and I feel like not leaving her, but I have to before it start getting awkward.

Me: Adesewa my friends would like to say hi to you.

Adesewa : where are they?

Me : over there.

I walked her to where taiwo and Michael are sitted.

Me: taiwo, Michael meet Adesewa. Adesewa meet my very close friends.

Adesewa : hello guys

Michael : hello beautiful

Taiwo : even a blind man can see your beauty.

Adesewa : oh really? Please stop flattering me.

Michael : its nice meeting you Adesewa.

Adesewa: the pleasure is all mine.

Taiwo : happy birthday to you

Adesewa : thank you, please enjoy yourself, order for anything you need.

Taiwo : okay ma’am.

Adesewa : excuse me please.

She left us to greet some of her invited guest, I observe a dude clutching closely around her. He has a bouncer following him up and down, and with the way am seeing things, he must be one very rich dude. I saw taiwo ordering for food and drinks repeatedly. I pinched and kick him silently to stop but he didn’t, instead he continue.

Michael : taiwo wetin you dey do na, don’t embrass us for here na.

Taiwo : she said make we order for anything so why are you scolding me. Leave me jor.

Me: lobatan, see animal

Taiwo: thank you.

Michael : see is head. Baboo

Taiwo : thank you, I use am resemble you.

The party got to a stage and the MC began calling those that are to sit on the high table, I was surprised when my name was mentioned, I winked at my guys then walk proudly to the high table.

” and the last person to on the list is the celebrant boyfriend, the person of Gbenga Falana, osun state governor son. Please welcome him up with claps” says the MC showing out his big teeth. I felt a little bit jealous but there nothing I can do. And the so called gbenga would be a spoilt brat.

It get to the dancing section and Adesewa was called to dance with one of the people on the high seat. Everyone was expecting her to pick gbenga, and suprisely she came up to me and said ” can I have this dance “. ” absolutely” I replied. I hold her hand and the music was played for us. I used to be a good dancer, but I never imagine Adesewa could dance really good. Her dancing steps were awesome, well mine wasn’t bad neither. I caught a glance at gbenga while am still dancing with Adesewa, his eyes were burning like hell. Well I certainly don’t care. I even winked at him.

After we are done dancing, the MC open the dancing floor for everyone, I was still dancing alone when two hefty bouncer systematically drag me to gbenga.

Gbenga: nice performance.

Me: thank you and why do you ask this two pigs to drag me here.

Gbenga : because I want to give you a warning.

Me: a warning? For what?

Gbenga: the next time I see you with Adesewa… Am going to kill you.

Me: are threatenIng me?

Gbenga: No, am only telling you what I will do.

Me: don’t be daft. You can’t do anything to me.

Gbenga : we shall see then.
