On seeing fisayo, I know i have to do something before something else happen, not even with Adesewa. I walked up to her, with a smile, but behind my smile is a hatred. I wonder why she always show up whenever am with a lady.

I can still see the anger burning in her eyes, buts its better I put out the fire in her eyes now or someone else will.

Me: fisayo, what are you doing here?

Fisayo : who is she?

Me: excuse me, so I can’t talk to a female colleague again?

Fisayo : No! You think am a fool? Don’t tell me she is just a colleague of yours. I know something is between you guys.

Me: and there you go again. Can’t you just be reasonable for once. You saw me talking to someone doesn’t me I have something with her.

Fisayo : Whatever!!! all I know is that with the way she look at you… I won’t let her snatch you away from me.

Me: this is ridiculous! Have not even propose to you, and you are already behaving this way, what if I marry you in?

Fisayo : am going to teach that b---h a lesson she will never forget in her life.

Me: you take a step away from here, just consider its over between us.

Fisayo : now I can see that you are protecting her. But your threat won’t stop me.

She moved away from where i am and head directly to Adesewa. Adesewa welcomed her with a smile but before she could say hello, Fisayo landed a slap on her face. Everyone opened their mouth in surprise, even the soldiers. Adesewa staggered backward, but one of the soldier held her and prevented her from falling. Immediately one of the soldier has remove a wipe (koboko) and he was about releasing some lashes on fisayo. But Adesewa held his hand and commanded him to stop. Two soldiers has already hold fisayo down. She was trembling like someone having a fever. “Let her go” she said and the soldiers freed her. Fisayo didnt wait a seconds there, she ran like a pregnant goat far away from the scene. I look at Adesewa, and for the very first time, I see tears forming in her eyes. I approached her, but I was stopped by one of the soldiers. They can only stop me from getting to her but they can’t stop my voice from reaching her.

“Adesewa am sorry ” I said slowly. ” let call it a day ” she replied. But her eyes betrayed her, as one of the tears escaped down her eyes. She turned her back at me, as she was escorted back to her car. Yetunde walked up to me, she put her hands on my shoulder and caress it a little. ” Ayo take your mind of it, we have work to do here ” she said softly into my ears. I turned to face her, I can see that she is less concern about the way I feel. ” you can go do the job alone, that’s all you’ve always wanted, am done for today ” I said then I walk angrily away from her.

I called taiwo to ask if they are home, he replied positively and I head directly to their place. They were both playing a vedio game when I arrived, we exchanged pleasantries and I explained everything that has happened to them.

Michael : I can’t believe fisayo did all that.

Taiwo: is she crazy? How on earth will she slap Adesewa.

Me: am just confuse on what to do, I don’t know if I will ever get the chance to say hi to Adesewa again.

Michael : do you think she’s angry with you?

Me: I don’t know, all I know is that.. She was in tears.

Taiwo : oh meh

Michael : and where is that lunatic of a being.?

Me: I don’t know, she will probably be waiting for me at home.

Taiwo : Ay, you are too soft, someone you’ve suppose to send away from ur house.

Michael : if I were you, I would have send her packing.

Me: that’s what am planning to do.

Taiwo : with immediate effect. How can you be keeping a mad lady in your house.

Michael : not just that, I want you to break up with her finally. I don’t wanna hear anything about her anymore.

Me: thank you, I will see to that.

Michael : you better.

Me: am leaving, you guys should take care

Taiwo : yea. Always keep us update.

On getting home, I met fisayo preparing soup in the kitchen.

Fisayo : hi darling , welcome home.

Me: darling? You lost him hours ago.

Fisayo : funny you, am preparing soup, what will you like to eat with it.

Me: to hell with you and your soup.

Fisayo : hey, why such an attitude? Is it because of that b---h.

Me: of cus, a b---h better than you.

Fisayo : I don’t like that, okay am sorry.

Fisayo : yea

Me: oh sorry dear, its too late for you to be sorry, have made up my mind.

Fisayo : ay please, don’t do this to me, please, I love you please dont leave me, please am begging you.

Me: have made my decision, and that’s final am not going back to my words. Its over between us!!.

Fisayo : temi bami, ay I can’t live without you. You are my life. Ay am sorry.

Me : am going out now, I don’t want to meet you here when I return.

I pushed her out of my way and head directly outside. I texted yetunde saying am on my way to her house, and she replied saying she’s home.

I stopped a bike which conveyed me to her house. I met her clad on a bum short and a crop top which shows her pointing nipples. ” I needed someone to clear off my head, so I choose to come to you, perhaps you can keep me company ” I said trowing my eyes on her body. I mount on the bike and he put the bike on motion. Some minutes after we got there. The house is quite a mansion, I pay the bike man then I knock on the iron gate. A soldier open the gate after the second knock.

Soldier : what do you want?

Me: sir, am here to see Adesewa.

Soldier: do you have an appointment with her?

Me: not exactly, but if you tell her my name she will definitely come out.

Soldier : what’s your name?

Me: Ayo

Soldier : wait here am coming.

he entered the building and after some time he bounce out.

Me: so what did she say.?

Soldier : she said she doesn’t want to see you. I guess you should take your leave now.

Me. Hmm. Very well then, thank you sir.

The following week, I was on the field measuring the average rainfall when I heard someone calling on me, ” Ayo you have a guest in the office ” Yetunde shouted. I wonder who that person could be, cos I hardly have a visitor. I quickly finish what am doing then I head inside the office. I met Adesewa sitting on the visitors seat.

Me: what a surprise

Adesewa: is that how you greet someone.

Me: am sorry, good morning, how are you?

Adesewa : am getting better.

Me. Emm… Am sorry about what..

Adesewa: its fine, have forgotten it, I least you weren’t the one that slap me.

Me: I know, but am the cause.

Adesewa: so who is she to you?

Me: she used to be my girlfriend… But she’s now my ex.

Adesewa: you broke up with her?

Me: Adesewa please don’t let talk about her.

Adesewa: well I came here to invite you specially to my birthday party.

Me: seriously when is your birthday?

Adesewa: its tomorrow.

Me: wao, happy birthday in advance.

Adesewa: thank you, the venue is Dofan hotel, 7pm till your mama calls. and don’t be late.

Me: I won’t want to.
