*Divine Intervention And Martin’s Flashback

{In Sarah’s point of view}

~Miracle Touch Hospital _

-At the emergency ward~

The Angel of darkness handed me over to another angel. He was clothed in all white. He said to me, “Sarah, you are lucky. Don’t try coming here again unless your time is due. Hades, the king of the underworld doesn’t like intruders. Here, follow this track and go back home, “the Angel said and disappeared. I followed the track. Suddenly I was engulfed with a very bright light. I could hear voices. Then I heard Martin’s voice

and opened my eyes. My father, mother and Martin gazed at me in consternation. “Welcome back, Sarah,” Martin said.

I smiled. “I love you, Sarah,”Martin said.

I was surprised and asked, “are we not supposed to be a brother and a sister?”

Not anymore, Sarah, Dr. Clark lied to us.”

“What!? Are you sure about this?”I asked.

“Yes, he’s sure. That was why I called you some hours ago to tell you,” my father interjected.

“Ummmm, I had a low battery, ” I said.

Everyone was trying to avoid the obvious question, “why did you attempt to commit suicide? ”

“I’m sorry I tried to take my own life.” Said I.

My father looked at me grimly and said, ” I nearly lost you. NEVER EVER TRY THAT STUPIDITY AGAIN.!!! I took his reprimand to heart. My dad was right.

“But why will Dr. Clark lie to us?” I asked curiously. All eyes turned to my mother. She confessed how she hated Martin because of his mother and how she planned to make sure we see ourselves as siblings forever so that we can’t marry. Finally, she apologized for her misdemeanour. Somehow, I couldn’t see myself hating her. I understood her predicament.

[Third Person’s POV]

Martin was surprised by Lucy’s confession. She had known Lucy as a respectable lady since his coming to the house of the Donkor’s. He knew he couldn’t regard himself as one of the members of the Donkor family now since the true DNA result had been confessed. He was from the Vanderpuye’s family. Lucy was the enemy working behind the scene trying to break the love they shared.

Even if she was his mother’s enemy, she had no right to include him in their love war to the extent of sleeping with Dr. Clark to change their DNA test result.He didn’t know if he should hate her or forgive her.

As for Dr. Clark, Martin felt like sueing him. He should have known better.That was unprofessional and a gross violation of his Hippocratic oath.

The only barrier to his love for Sarah was the DNA test results which Doctor Clark manipulated to showed they were blood related. Now, it was clear he was misled all this while. Though he knew Sarah loved him , he never knew it was that deep until her mother Lucy called him on her phone and told him the unfortunate incident that Sarah attempted to commit suicide because he broke her heart.

It was around 1:30 pm. He was off duty by then and decided to rest for a while when the call came. According to lucy, Sarah wrote a suicidal note saying she was very sorry it has to end like that because she had come to the realisation that life is not worth living without love. In the letter, Sarah indicated that while she could live with some things, she couldn’t live without some of them and one of the things she can’t live without was him, Martin.

When Martin heard Sarah tried to kill herself, he was moved by compassion. He felt something within him died. It was then that he decided to show her more love. He couldn’t afford to have her death on his conscience. He recalled the past events between the two of them. Suddenly his mind went back to the first time he met Sarah till the time she attempted to commit suicide. It all start when her father introduced him to Sarah as her brother. She tried to seduce him but failed. She tried to stop his first marriage but failed. Then the marriage fell on its own. She tried to lure him again and he bounced her again. Then she attempted suicide and ended up in hospital.

He now realised how deep he was connected to her. He knew he was a bit hard on her when he bounced her because he believed it was not right to sleep with his sister.

In order to reconfirmed the DNA test, Martin decided to redo the test at his workplace so he took Sarah and her father to the hospital. Their blood samples were taken and examined. The results came in two days. When he saw the DNA test results, it was staggering. Sarah was….
