At The Discotheque And DNA Result

Manilla, Sarah’s younger sister had completed high school and her year group had decided to do an end- of- High -School party at a night club. These clubs are usually attended by adolescents who wanted to reaffirm their newly found freedom. It’s usually the skimpy type of dresses that are worn to arouse sexual behaviors. Talk about the mini- skirts, skinny, Topless blouse, armless blouse, faded jeans, otofista and boys wearing rings in their ears, smoking, drinking, wooing and having a one- night stand.

The wild dance had begun. The place was flooded with youths aged between 17 and 19. As usual, the provocative dresses started manifesting. The music was loud and heavy. The DJ was very skilful.

He knew how to step up the excitement and the tempo. Soon, other Club attendants popped in. They were the bad boys of the town.

Smokers smoked, drinkers drank, Womanizers wooed ladies who dressed like they needed “customers.” They usually bang this lewd ladies on the walls, quite shamefully under the disco lights.

The music in the background reinforced adolescent freedom and lewd lifestyle.

As the music flowed, the Ladies went wild clinging onto the bad boys, who used the opportunity to fondle them without any trace of scruples.

The DJ said, “I present to you, P.I.M.P by 50 cent”…. then the youth went Amok. The Hip-hop bashed the dance floor…”

I don’t know what you heard about me

But a b---h can’t get a dollar out of me

No Cadillac, no perms, you can’t see

That I’m a motherf**** P-I-M-P

I’m bout my money you see, girl you can holla at me

If you f--k with me, I’m a P-I-M-P

_Girl, we could pop some champagne and we could have a ball…”_

In the dim kaleidoscopic lights, the outline of males and females could be marked out in the far shady corners of the discotheque very close together -they were shamelessly engaging in heavy petting and caressing of the lewd club ladies in a public place.

The hip hop music continued to flow…

21st CENTURY is indeed a moral less, valueless, shame-less Century. From time to time, Quarrel broke up when somebody’s girlfriend was snatched causing Jack- Knives to come out, accompanied by screams and shrieks from knife wounds.

Sarah escorted her sister to the wild party but she was still feeling lonely. She had refused to mingle with the young men who looked hungrily at her body. It’s absurd, men couldn’t simply ignore beautiful women or give them peace. But they can’t be blamed. if you go to a wild party, it’s a convention that if ladies come to parties alone, they are searching for men to hook up with.

Unlike Sarah, Manilla was really enjoying herself, as if she was the music queen. Martin called Sarah and asked of her whereabout. She told Martin she was at Blue Angel’s Night Club. Soon, Martin was on his way to the discotheque.

[In Martin’s Point of view]

I opened the envelope, with a thumping heart. The DNA test results were staggering. Sarah was really NOT my sister.I was overtaken by pure joy. Rushing into my car, I headed towards Blue Angel’s Night Club where Sarah said she was with her sister. Upon reaching the club, I met Sarah waiting for me at the entrance. With an open arm, I welcome her and peeped into her alluring eyes. I began to talk,

“Sarah, you are NOT my sister. The DNA test result is out. It’s authentic.

“Really? “Sarah asked,

Yes, I responded.

Then we are free to date, we are free to marry and we are free to______”

“Um, huh, say it, “I urged her on.

“No!”

I smile. “I know what you want to say.”

We both laughed, “hahaha hahaha.”

We clanged onto each other as if letting go will result in another sadness.

“Let’s dance, Sarah suggested.

“OK, my princess” I said.

The dance floor was abused. It was filled with hundreds of pleasure-seeking adolescents who are ready to party away their life after graduating from High school. Disco light, laser beams and laughter filled the airtight club. Everyone was having a good time, not considering the fact that we were paced in the club like sardines.

The music was so loud that my skin tingle. The loud beat pulsated throughout my body and the bass thumped in time with my heartbeat as if they were in unison, filling me from head to toe with flood of music.

There were laughter and constant shouting.

The heavy metal song got louder and louder as the night became deeper and deeper. The DJ mixed the music on the turntables. Half-naked bodies of young men and women could be seen dancing as if they were possessed by a music demon. Most of the guys were shirtless. They eyed the sexy girls who walked around in topless blouse and tight dance-pants and mini-skirts looking for opportunities to act like knights in shining armour just to impress the damsels.

“Wow, wow, wow, that’s more like it, she has finally taken over,” I heard someone praised me as I danced with Sarah. I turned around. It was my Ex-wife Claudia. She was starring at us with a tinge of jealousy. I pretended not to see her. No one could see the dance floor. There was no room for anyone but when I and Sarah hit it, space was magically created. We started dancing our hearts out immediately we found space on the dance floor. From time to time, the DJ switched the music from 50 Cents to Sean Paul to DJ Khaled to Jay-z, Eminem, Kendrick, Lil Wayne, Snoop Dogg, Jeezy, wiz Khalifa, the Notorious B.I.G. and T.I.

We danced, jive, twist and jumped to the rhythm and lyrics of

Eminem.

Eminem’s lyric: RAP GOD

Look, I was gonna go easy on you and not to hurt your feelings

But I’m only going to get this one chance

Something’s wrong, I can feel it (Six minutes, Slim Shady, you’re on)

Just a feeling I’ve got, like something’s about to happen, but I don’t know what

If that means, what I think it means, we’re in trouble, big trouble,

_____

I’m beginning to feel like a Rap God, Rap God

All my people from the front to the back nod, back nod

Now who thinks their arms are long enough to slap box, slap box?

They said I rap like a robot, so call me Rapbot

But for me to rap like a computer must be in my genes

****

Don’t mistake it for Satan

It’s a fatal mistake if you think I need to be overseas

And take a vacation to trip a broad

And make her fall on her face and don’t be a retard

Be a king? Think not, why be a king when you can be a God

********************************************************

Without music, life will be a mistake- Friedrich Nietzsche.

After the dance…….
