Suicide Note And Confession

{In Sarah’s Point of view}

My heart was broken once again. Ever since Dr. Clark reconfirmed the DNA test result for him, Martin had not been the same. He had distanced himself from me and had begun treating me as his mere sister. I was back to square one. I was getting tired of following this thing called love. It was like a mirage. At one point, it looked as if all was well, and the love you yearn for is very close to you. Then the next moment, something else happened breaking us apart and the love you yearn for moved far away from you. Since I can’t leave without Martin, I will rather die.

“What was the essence of living if you can’t feel loved? I gazed at the rat poison in the bottle with a sad face. Taking out a piece of paper, I decided to write a suicide note down for my father and mother before I end my life.

Dear Father and Mother,

SUICIDE NOTE

I am very sorry it has to end like this. This is not the ending I wish for but I have come to the realisation that life is not worth living without love. While I can live with some

things, I can’t live without some of them. In this situation, I can’t live without Martin and thus the need to end my life here. Please forgive me, my parents, but to me, death is the only option now.

Maybe we will live again in the afterlife.

At Dr.Clark’s Residence

[In third Person’s POV]

~~12.30 p.m.~~

Stephen caught Dr. Clark Iverson bonking his wife.His mind sped up to the dream where he saw his wife giving birth to a baby boy that belonged to a known man. God had revealed this incident to him in a dream. Now, it was happening before his very eyes. His wife Lucy and Dr. Clark were so engaged in a hot sizzling sexual intercourse to such an extent that they couldn’t feel his presence in the room.

For two minutes, he recorded their illicit activity until he couldn’t control his anger anymore.

“His fist turned into a ball. Since Dr. Clark’s back was turned towards him, he tiptoed and connected his balled fist hard onto his back.

He felt on the ground. Stephen lifted him from the ground and smashed him on the wall.

He collided with his portrait on the wall and hit the ground with a broken tooth.

“He turned to his wife and gave her three monstrous slaps on her cheek. He then held her throat and almost chocked her to death but Dr. Clark pushed him off her.

His push brought out the beast in him. He gave the doctor two quick upper cuts and moved away just in time to dodge his ferocious blow. The Doctor tried to punch Stephen in the abdomen but he blocked it and pounded him with a hundred blows on his head. He felt to the ground shouting in pain. Stephen saw a key in the keyhole inside the sitting room. He locked the door and took out the Jack-knife he always carried along with him.”

“Now, both of you tell me the truth, or the police will have a difficult time collecting your dismembered body,” Stephen said.

Then Stephen had another brilliant idea. He wanted to find out if the two of them would confess the same truth so he locked Dr. Clark in his own washroom.

Then he returned to the sitting room to get his wife’s side of the story. He secretly pressed the recording button on his mobile Phone.●

Sitting Lucy down on the Doctor’s couch , Stephen asked his wife to confess why she was having a secret affairs with the Doctor.

Lucy’s Confession

Lucy confessed to her husband. She said, “It all began when you announced to Sarah and Jacque

line that they had a big brother who will soon be visiting them. When Martin first visited my daughters at home, I realised Sarah was immediately attracted to him. Then her attraction degenerated into full blown love. The only thing stopping them from having sex is the tradition that forbid incest. I did a few background checks and realised Martin’s mother was Doreen, my former best friend who hated me now because I snatched you from her. From that moment, I hated Martin.

He kept reminding me of my betrayal to Doreen. I also felt Doreen will use him to get back at me as a form of revenge.Then Martin had an accident and Dr. Clark required a DNA test. The test results showed Martin was not your son. I felt happy at first because Martin didn’t belong to the Donkor family.

Then I saw the problem. The moment the DNA test proved Martin was not your biological son, Sarah followed Martin to his house. I knew they were going to have sex. I also knew Sarah will not listen to me when I asked her to stop loving Martin and the only sure way to achieve that was to change the DNA test result so that they will see each other as siblings again and could not get married.

That was where Dr. Clark came in. I want him to change the DNA test result for me. I knew it won’t be for free. I was willing to pay the price.

I visited Dr. Clark and told him my predicament. He smiled and told me he can help me but I need to pay him.I asked him how much he needed. He told me he was not interested in money.”

I asked him what he needed and he euphemistically told me

“Your husband’s food.”

I was amazed he said that so I asked him, “My husband’s food, Which one?”

He suggestively told me “the one between my thigh .”

I made him aware I was married. To my utter Amazement, he casually said “Then you are not in for business”

After several attempts to convince him to take the money failed, I gave him what he wanted because my desire to make sure Sarah never marry Martin was stronger than my marital vow of fidelity. Dr. Clark promised to change the DNA test result and he did. It was after all that, that he came that Friday to renounce a different DNA result to the family."

I was very excited and decided to go and thank him. He wasn’t at the hospital when I went there but one of his colleagues Dr . Wattenberg Fred directed me to his residence. I met him in the house when I arrived. I thanked him and turned to leave. He suggested I take a drink with him.”

“When I finished taking the drink, I felt, tipsy and drowsy. I passed out on the sofa. I woke up later on Dr. Clark’s bed, naked. I saw Dr. Clark beside me on the bed. He was smiling. It then dawned on me that he had slept with me after drugging me. I was furious with him and threatened to report him to the police. He laughed and say,” Report me to the IGP rather, the lower ranked Ghana police are not scary enough.”

“He showed me naked videos of myself, from the first time we had sex to the present one. From that point on, he blackmailed me saying,” if you don’t co-operate, I will show these videos to your husband and upload them on the internet. To avoid embarrassment, I always succumbed to his sexual demands anytime he asked me.”

“When you left for Florida, he invited me to his house. I don’t know how he knew you were not around. I came here and he had sex with me. Then today, he invited me again. I came just two hours ago and you knew the rest of the story. You miraculously badge in. On us”. I’m very sorry, Stephen, please, forgive me. Please, I begged you in the name Of Jehovah God. Find a place in your heart to forgive me. “I’m sorry, I’m sorry, please.

■End of Confess ■

Stephen was very furious. Flame of anger burnt within him like an inferno. He never thought Lucy could be so cheap and become a sex pet in the hands of Dr. Clark. He asked sarcastically, “I’m sure you enjoy the sex, don’t you? “Lucy was quiet.

He thundered, “answer me!!! You s--t.”

“No, errrr, yea…I mean somehow. ” she stuttered.

If Stephen were to have a gun , He could have shot her in cold blood without blinking an eye, Considering the fact that She was able to tell him the graphic details of her love affair with the Doctor. But Stephen should have known Lucy could do that. She had stolen him from Doreen, her best Friend by seducing him. So he shouldn’t have been surprised if Lucy slept with Dr.Clark. He tried to control his anger. His hands were shaking.

He took her to the washroom where he placed the doctor and took him

to the sitting room for his version of the confession.

He pressed the ‘ record button’ on his mobile phone again as the doctor began to

confess ; “Your wife seduced me to change the DNA result. I was in my office and she came flaunting herself on me. At first I was uncooperative but she was persistent ….”

Stephen realised Doctor Clark’s narration collaborated Lucy’s confession to a large extent. Dr. Clark knew he had lost his respect before Stephen the moment he tasted his wife’s nakedness. Now he was more like Stephen’s best enemy. When he finished with the recording, he took Lucy and left the doctor’s house in a fit of anger.

Stephen knew if he had stayed a little longer, he would have killed his wife. In all honestly, he has no moral high justification to do because he wasn’t a saint either. His own little affair with Doreen in the inner room of his office was still in his mind.
