” Taaaaaaaaaah , tufiaah qua . How dare you lie to the queen mother ? How dare you ben ? The queen mother sparked wrathfully.

My body began shaking , my spirit started moving , my eyes were heavey , my heart was pounding as sweat covered my entire face, her mood changed she raised her staff on me and I shouted ;

” Am sorry queen mother ” I spoke in fear .

” I will let you live, because you are new in our mist , If not , I would have strike you down . No one lies to the queen mother and live to tell the tail” she sparked .

” Am so , so sorry queen mother ” I pleaded with fear .

” The only person you love and cherished most is Ada . The queen mother has seen it all, but she can’t be accepted cause you haven’t slept with her yet . The queen mother is requesting for the blood of the lady you have slept with . You have slept with two ladies in your entire life and one must die tonight then the other In our next meeting ” the queen mother spoke with courage hitting her staff on the ground.

” What have I done? I have slept with Amara and I can’t sacrifice her otherwise karasco will hunt me down ” I thought to myself .

” Take this staff and stand before the altar, the lady you have slept with will appear on the mirror then you strike with out hesitation, if you hesitate you die ” the queen mother instructed.

I collected the staff and started praying deep inside my heart ” God please let Amara not appear before the altar ” silently I prayed .

I stood before the great altar and took a glanced at karasco

” Don’t be scared Daniel, you just have to do it , you should be lucky that the queen mother didn’t demand for the blood of your grandparents all at once. I sacrificed my brother , my mother all for this. yours is a minor task just do it without fear ” karasco advised.

I was still standing on the altar when amaka’s picture appeared before the altar. She was with her files in a company about to be employed. I watched her telling the manager that she has been looking for a job for over four years since she graduated.

She went on saying she was delighted to be employed in the company saying her parents will be happy if they hear the good news. She was about bringing out her phone to place a call to her parents to inform them about her new job when the queen mother shouted .

” Strike her with the staff. What are you waiting for ? Angrily she sparked like a wild fire.

” Please queen mother won’t there be another chance ? Let this young lady live to enjoy her employment. She has suffered a lot in life , give her chance to testify. Please queen mother ” I pleaded.

” If she must live your grandpa and grandma must have to die now to replaced her . That is the only chance for the lady to live. Do you accept?” The queen mother asked .

I heaved a sign and stroke the mirror . ” Ha, ha, ha” the queen mother and the members laughed.

I was bittered as tears dripped from my ears .

” You have completed your first task . In three days time money will locate you, too much money , access money , in dollars , in pounds , in what ever currency you need them they shall locate you ” the queen mother spoke in excitement.

As we were driving home , karasco gazed at me and said ;

” Daniel, I am surprised that the queen mother doesn’t get mad at you just as she does to other members when they dare challenge her request. seems like you are favoured ”

” Am not really happy for killing amaka ,I wished I had another chance. that innocent girl wouldn’t had die just like that” I spoke passionately.

” But you told me you never slept with her back then at our NYSC champ . That babe was my babe . So you went behind me and slept with her Daniel? Guy you are a devil” karasco spoke in anger .

“What if he finds out I slept with Amara ” I thought to myself .

” Guy she forcefully forced herself on me that was it oh, nothing much” I replied .

Three days later money located me just as the queen mother has said . I bought a house and started up an oil business in and outside of the country . I became an oil tycoon .

I decided to visit Ada on a Saturday morning because I knew she must be home Saturday’s. I drove in with my latest Benz and parked right in front of her door. She came out when she saw me she went back inside and locked herself in.

” Ada, ada, ” I chanted her name so loud.

” You have to hear me out , I know you can hear me . Am so sorry for everything I have done . You are the one I love and cherish . The day you came to karasco’s house and saw me with amara I didn’t touch her. You just have to believe me. I didn’t ” i spoke in a cool manner.

I went in to my car as I was about leaving she unlocked her door.

” But I saw you shirtless with her ” she spoke in tears .

” I didn’t do it with her , you just have to believe me ”

She gave me a hug and cried on my shoulder . She took me in and we both sat on a couch .

” I missed you Daniel ” she spoke in a seductive voice.

” Am here with you baby ” I replied , just then Grandpa’s called came in . I picked and he asked me to call him back . I quickly called him back .

” Daniel, Daniel, Daniel . How many times did i called you? grandpa asked .

” Haaaah, grandpa, say what you have to say am listening” I replied.

” Tomorrow is the contribution day in the igwe’s palace. So therefore you must have to be here to tell the igwe and his elders the truth about yourself. I have told you before that I wouldn’t stand any shame that will bring down my reputation. Come to the village right now and tell them ooh” grandpa sparked.

” Grandpa that isn’t a problem at all . I will becoming to the village tomorrow don’t worry yourself. Am busy now I will get back to you” I ended the call .

” Your name is now everywhere flying like air. How do you suddenly become rich and famous over night Daniel ? Ada asked rubbing my chest .

My heart started beating very fast .” I will tell you but not now Ada” I grabbed her lips about kissing them when she pushed away insisting I tell her .

” Ok karasco took me to his business partners ….. ” just then the queen mother appeared on a wall , I was the only one seeing her she said ;

” If you dare tell her anything you will die ” she spoke and disappeared back .

” Is everything ok? ” Ada asked. Just then karasco called my line and asked me to see him at his house immediately.

“Ada , I have to leave now . I will come check on you tomorrow so we could travel together to the village ” I spoke in a hurry and left .

I arrived at karasco house he wasn’t at home . ” Where is karasco ?he told me he is home ” I asked Amara .

” Hmmm, you are looking fresh Daniel ”

” Will you answer my question ? ” I sparked wrathfully, just then karasco drove in . Amara immediately grabbed my joint stick and ran to the kitchen.

I left the sitting room and met karasco outside . ” You de mad oooh” karasco sparked .

” What have I done ? ” I asked in amazement.

” Queen mother told me you wanted telling Ada how you mad your money .hmmm, if you tell her you will die . I no de that one ” he spoke angrily.

” I don hear , I will never disclose the secret to her no matter what. I want you to accompany me to the village tomorrow for the bridge contribution i really want you to come with me ” I pleaded with karasco.

” Is ok , you are my friend . Anything for you ” he spoke with excitement.

The next day , I called Ada and we drove to the village on convoyed . Karasco was with Amara behind on their own convoyed .

We got to the igwe’s compound everywhere was filled with multiude of people and the masquerade were dancing around.

I sigted grandpa from the high table I got down from my car walking towards grandpa with my body guards.
