Finally.. The day had come for the church seminar.. It wasn’t really my thing but I already promised Riley I would come and if he could come to places I want him to be even if his life was at stake, then I see no reason why I can’t do the same for him.

That evening at home, I was getting dressed for the seminar when my brother Oliver popped into the room… From the look on his face, I could tell something was really bothering him this time.

Christen Okay.. Oliver, what is it you want to warn me about?

Oliver You and I don’t usually see eye to eye but you’re my sister and family always looks out for each other no matter what..

Christen So what are you saying?

Oliver This your secret affair with that Riley guy has to stop.. IMMEDIATELY!!!!

Christen So you’ve been following me around right? That’s none of your business, and stay away from Riley..

Oliver Are you even listening? What’s wrong with you? Is your sanity and life less important than that human trash?

Christen I don’t care.. I love Riley and I’ll do anything to keep him by my side..

Oliver Is that right? Can you kill me because of him?… TELL ME!!! WOULD YOU KILL YOUR FAMILY OVER THAT SCUM?.

Christen I don’t know but let me warm you if you harm a hair on Riley.. You’re going to be in big trouble..

Oliver Oh I’m not the one you should be worried about.. It’s Rose.. She’s been acting crazy this past few days and it seems someone pissed her off.. She’s really in a foul mood and could go for the kill anytime.. Stay away from that human if you want to kill him alive.. If Rose finds out.. I don’t need to tell you what will happen.. A word is enough for the wise..

After that Oliver left my room, I sat to sit on my bed and think about what Oliver said.. Just when I have something good in life.. Everyone is trying to take it away from me.. For centuries I haven’t been this happy before.. I don’t care what Oliver says.. Rose won’t find out.. After all she doesn’t suspect anything and my relationship with Riley is on a low profile..

So after that i removed all worries and thoughts from my mind and got ready for my date with Riley at the seminar. I soon left the house and went to Riley’s house.. As I got there, Riley, his brother and mom were already waiting for me..

We all entered the family car and drove to the church.. Riley’s mom had to make me sit in the front so Riley and I wouldn’t do anything intimate. Minutes later we arrived at the church , after we parked the car, we went into the church.. Upon entering the church, I saw a lot of people and they were making a whole lot of noise.. Believe me, I was so annoyed, why can’t these people shut up? As we went in further, I grabbed Riley’s hand holding him as tight as I could.. I was feeling a little bit crazy because I was hearing lots and lots of voices which was making my head hurt.. That’s why i hate crowds.. I always feel like this whenever I’m around people.

Just then as we were about to take our seats.. That Pastor and his nosey daughter showed up.. The stupid girl was busy eyeing me as if there was something on me..

Emmanuel Sara, I’m glad you all came.. Who’s this fine lady? I recall seeing her in your house a few days ago.

Sara She’s my son’s love interest.. Her name is Christen.

Christen Pleasure…. is.. all mine.

Riley Are you alright?

Christen Yes.. I’m just feeling a little dizzy.

Riley Sit down and rest before the seminar begins..

Deborah Riley come sit with me.. Since Christen is a little bit pale.

Riley No, I’m sitting here.. Thank you. (B*tch)

Sara I think we should all sir here since the seats are vacant.. I think it’ll be enough for all of us..

Deborah Good idea ma.

Thanks to Sara’s stupid suggestion, The pastor and his daughter sat with us.. Riley and I weren’t happy about these two sitting with us especially that daughter of his, Deborah but we decided to pretend as if they weren’t there.

Minutes later the seminar began… At first it was sermon and then a series of prayers followed.. The more i tried to bear the noise, the more difficult it became.. The people inside the place kept on praying and praying and praying… I couldn’t talk or move, I just covered my mouth as if I was doing it..

As the prayers continued, I became more and more restless, I felt like my body was on fire.. First it was the headache and now I felt pain all over me. I grabbed Riley’s hand tightened it with my grip.. Riley noticed my condition and took an excuse of us to leave.

Riley Christen.. Are you alright?

Christen My body hurts all over..

.

Riley Jesus.. Uhm.. Mom?

.

Sara Yes.. What is it?

.

Riley Christen is feeling a bit sick.. I’m taking her home.

.

Sara Can’t you both wait a little bit longer.

.

Riley No, I need to take her home before she gets seriously ill.

Sara okay.. Be careful don’t stay out late o.

.

Riley Sure….

.

Riley grabbed my hand and took me outside as soon as we were outside, I felt so good and better, the headaches and body pains was gone. Riley saw I reacting and he was surprised to see me that way.

Riley Wait… I thought you were sick…

.

Christen I was but now I’m okay..

.

Riley So what now? Do you want to go back in?

.

Christen Hell no.. No way.. I’ll be waiting for you outside.

.

Riley Just go home.. In fact if my mom sees you here, she’ll think something is up.

Christen Okay then.. Bye..

.

As soon as Riley went back into the church, I too disappeared from the place.
