You know.. The world could use a little bit of magic to make things a little more easier.. Thanks to Christen, my brother Lionel was saved.. He never for once thought about Rose or the d--n Rolex she gave him. Mom was happy Lionel was cured of his illness.. She even went on praising and giving credit to Pastor Emmanuel for saving Lionel.. If only she knew her son was cured by a witch.

Things were normal for a while until my Mom started asking questions about Christen..

Sara Riley.. That girl that came a while back..

Riley You mean Christen?

Sara Yes.. I’m not comfortable with her… I’ve been tolerating the kind of ladies you’ve been dating previously but this one I don’t approve of.

Riley Not this again.. Mom, what’s wrong with this one?

Sara Her appearance is just…. You know kind of dark..

Riley Mom.. Nothing is wrong with Christen.. She’s the best of all the ladies I’ve previously dated.. Can you recall any girl coming over to the house? None.. But Christen came and that’s a good thing.

Sara I still don’t approve.. Why don’t you hang out with Deborah.. She’s more of your type and she’s a girl of excellent character.

Riley No way.. I’m not interested in her.. No thanks.

Riley I just don’t like her..

Sara Oh, is it because she doesn’t dress or act like the other ladies you’ve been with right?

Riley That’s not the point.. Deborah and I would definitely not work out.. Never.

Sara I’ll still say it.. That Christen girl, I’m not comfortable with her.. She gives me the chills.

Riley Why don’t I invite her for dinner, so you can see she’s not that bad, huh?

The next day at Campus…. I met with Christen and told her about what had transpired between I and my mom. Christen listened with rapt attention, she didn’t show any sign emotion distress or agitation when I told her my mom didn’t approve of us..

Riley No, it’s not like that.. Look just come over to my house later, let her see you’re not that bad.

Christen Is there going to be any kind of crowd or..

Riley No just the four of us.. Me, my mom, Lionel and you.

As Christen and I were talking, we were interrupted by someone else I wasn’t expecting to see… Deborah..

She stood behind me as if she was my body guard, It was Christen that told me, some one was behind me.. As I turned around I was startled with I saw her.

Deborah Hi Riley..

Riley Jesus.. Deborah what’s the meaning of this? Besides what are you even doing here?

Deborah Sorry, I didn’t mean to scare you.. Its just that there would be a seminar at the church the day after tomorrow and I was hoping you’d escort me..

Is this girl mad? What gave her the idea that I would escort her.. First of all, I’m not her age mate.. And second, doesn’t she realize I’m with my girlfriend?

Christen (frowning) What’s going on here?

Riley Nothing babe..

Deborah You must be Christen?

Christen Yes.. And you are?

Deborah I’m Riley’s family friend.. We do spend a lot of time together at the church..

Christen Oh, I see..

This stupid Deborah was making things worse, after she made that false and exaggerated statement, Christen gave me a mean stare.. I knew what might happen next so I decided to make Deborah go away.

Riley Look Deborah, I can’t go with you.. I have something to do this week with Christen.

Deborah (frowning) But the seminar is very important.. You know the Christmas season is coming.. And if I recall your mother told my dad that she’d bring you along as well.

Riley Is that so? Then I’ll bring Christen along with me then.

Deborah But I asked you first..

Riley it doesn’t matter, and it would be rude to leave my babe here and go out with you.. Sorry find someone else.

Deborah frowned and immediately left our presence, as soon as she was gone, Christen grabbed and twisted my ear..

Christen Spending a lot of time in the church huh? I wonder.. What are you two doing?

Riley Ow, ow… Stop that… Look, she’s lying.. She’s just said that to make you jealous.

Riley I know you hate people.. I knew you would agree to it anyway.. In that case..

Christen Hold on.. When did you hear me say that I wasn’t going.. I will, for your sake. I’ll try to bear and hold on for a few hours.

Riley Really? My mom would be pleased.. Okay then.. I have a class to attend.. See you later..

#Laterinthe_evening..

The sun had set down and night was soon upon us.. The moon could be seen at this time.. Tonight was going to be a special night, and I hope things would work out between Christen and my mom,.. The food was ready and everyone had gotten dressed for the night.. Though there was no occasion but we are going to have a guest tonight.

Minutes passed by and there was no sign of Christen.. There was no way I could call Christen because she doesn’t have a phone.. I was starting to get worried because my mom was asking if Christen would show me. I assured her she was on her way .. A few minutes later.. I heard a knock on the door, I hurried went and opened the door and Behold it was Christen……

God… She was the most beautiful lady I’ve ever met.. Even the angels would bow at her feet if it were possible. She wore a long silky gown and with her usual color which was black.. Her hair was stretched back and her lips were ruby red and her fragrance smelled wonderfully surrounding the room as she entered.

My Brother Lionel too was dazed when he saw Christen.. Mom too couldn’t help but compliment Christen’s appearance.

Soon we all sat at the table talking to one another before we started eating. Christen and I did most of the talking, we laughed as making corny jokes… Lionel had nothing to say to Christen because of their first encounter and as for my mom, she was just staring at Christen. After a while, she decided to make her move on Christen.

Sara Welcome to our house Christen, I hope you’re feeling comfortable?

Christen Sure, thank you ma..

Sara You’re welcome, my dear… So where are you from exactly?

Christen I live around her..

Sara With your parents?

Christen No, I live together with my big sister.. My father is not always around and my mom is dead.. She died when I was little.

Sara Jesus.. May her soul rest in peace..

Christen Uh.. Amen.

Sara So how come I don’t see you around the neighborhood..

Christen I don’t really like moving around.. I prefer saying indoors.. Reading my books..

Sara So you don’t go to church..

Christen No.. I don’t.. But I prefer praying alone in peace and solitude.

Sara That’s good but you should be praying at the church.. Because it’s the house of God. There’s a seminar coming this week, I’d like you to attend.. You can go with Lionel if you want.. Because Riley would be escorting a friend of his.

Christen Thanks but Riley has already asked me to be his escort and I accepted.

Sara (Disappointed) Didn’t Deborah ask you?

Riley Yeah but it was after Christen asked me so.. I told her to find someone else..

Sara Okay.. Let’s eat before the food gets cold.. Christen.

Christen Yes?

Sara Lead us in a prayer.

I felt my heart stop instantly after mom said that.. Christen lied when she said she had gone to church and she doesn’t know how to do these kind of prayer.. I felt sweaty in that moment.. Because if Christen doesn’t do the prayer, my mom would know something is wrong….

We all held hands and closed our eyes but I opened mine to see how Christen would react but her face was calm, there wasn’t any sign of distress.. Just when I thought this was all over, Something unexpecting happened.. Christen began to pray and she did it wonderfully well like a real Christian.

Christen Father Lord, thank you for gathering us here around this table.. We thank you for your care, we thank you for this meal and we thank you for keeping us well and healthy and we thank you for providing us these delicacies we’re about to consume.. Thank you Father, Thank you Jesus.. Amen.

I was just surprised as in… A witch calling Jesus’s name.. From what I was told, Witches disappear out of sight or perish just by mentioning Jesus’s name.. I guess that was just a fairy tail because what I’m witnessing here is just too unbelievable.. After we all said grace.. We began to eat in silent.

I saw my mom watching Christen as she ate maturely.. And from the way she was nodding I can say she’s beginning to approve of Christen.

After the meal.. Christen helped my mom packed the dishes and wash them.. While the two women were in the kitchen.. Lionel and I sat out the discussing about Christen.

Lionel Shege.. Guy you lucky o.. Kai…

Riley What now?

Lionel That girl Christen.. I never know she get this gentle side of her.. Looks like Appearances are deceiving after all… I thought she was just some arrogant b*tch.

Riley Hey.. Watch your mouth.. Don’t ever call that again.

Lionel See you.. Feeling like a big man abi? Careful else someone might snatch her from you.. That’s how women are.. Once they see someone better than you, they dump you like thrash and follow the other one.

Riley Christen is not like the other women.. She’s different..

As Lionel went inside the house, Christen came out laughing with my mom.. I was happy to see them getting along..

Sara (chuckling) Ahhh, Christen.. You’re such a funny one.. Good night my dear.. I’ll leave you two alone to enjoy the night.. Don’t do any monkey business o.

Christen Don’t worry.. We won’t.

My mom went inside leaving Christen and I alone outside.. Christen and I began to walk slowly away from the house so we could have a little more privacy.

Riley So how did it go?

Christen Your mom is quite okay.. I’m missing her company already.. She’s so understanding.

Riley Yeah she is…

Christen So where’s your dad?

Riley Dad is always on a business trip, he’s been transfered from one state to another.

Christen It seems you and I are on the same page when it comes to our Dads.. I haven’t seen mine in a year..

Riley That’s 10yrs right?

Christen Yes.. Sounds like a long time isn’t it.

Riley Absolutely…I have to say.. You look fantastic tonight..

Riley Come on, I couldn’t pour out my affections to you in front of my family.. It’ll be weird.

Christen Hmm, well I’m going home now.. I need to sleep.

I grabbed hold of Christen’s waist pulling her close to me.. I gave her a kiss which she accepted warmly with her lips.. Christen’s lips were so delicious.. As I kissed her, my hands roamed about her body especially her a** which I grabbed and pressed firmly.. As she felt my hands on her booty, she pushed me off.

Christen No.. Riley.. No we’re not doing this.

Riley Come on.. It’s not like its your first time doing this with me.

Christen Sorry babe.. Your mom said No monkey business so its better we didn’t..

After that, I didn’t push the argument any further.. I knew christen wouldn’t budge so a while later we bade each other a good nights sleep and each went to the direction of our house.

Wow, what a night.. Riley’s mom isn’t as bad as I thought.. She’s such an understanding woman.. Yeah.. She wasn’t really into me first but after we went to the kitchen and had some talks with each other, everything went well.

It was a shame I couldn’t bring Riley over to my house and show him my own family.. The minute I bring him there, Either Rose or Oliver will try to descend on him.. And that is something I can’t allow.

So after Riley and I went our ways.. I immediately teleported back home.. Recently things have been going pretty well for me back in our world.. Thanks to Rose, I had become quite a celebrity back home.. She told everyone that I had vanquished Lucas, Everyone was really surprised especially my Aunt Jezebel who was a member of the council..

I was invited to the council by her and They all promised they would reward my efforts, but I told them, I really wasn’t interested in any reward.. Witches who weren’t talking to me back at home, began to get closer to me in other to be friends with me.. I didn’t really bother about them because I’m not the type that gathers friends, I prefer being with myself if it was possible.

So as I arrived home a while later, My friend Esther was already waiting for me in the house…

Christen Esther..

Esther Miranda.. I just heard the news.. Girl I never knew you had it in you.

Christen Had what?

Esther Killer instinct.. I heard you brutally killed Lucas.

Christen No.. I didn’t do anything, brutal, I just killed him that’s all.

Esther Anyway congratulations….. Sniff, Sniff… This smell on you.. Did you..

Christen I went out on a date, that’s all.

Esther So you’re still with your human lover.. Well enjoy him while it lasts and call me when you’re done so I can fill my belly full.

Christen Are you mad? Don’t even think of going near Riley, else..

In that moment, Rose bursted into the house, she wasn’t laughing like she usually do and this could only mean one thing.. She was angry about something. Her face was twisted in anger and her eyes were very mean looking.. If looks could kill, hers would have.. She was in a very bad mood and could kill any if tries to play with her.

Christen Sister is everything okay?

Rose Sister, dear… Nothing is fine.. Someone messed with my food. I was slowly sipping the life of a guy that I had placed my death worm on but now I don’t feel anything, not even the death worms presence… Some Witch must have tampered with my stuff and I hate anyone who messes with my things.

Oh Lucifer, let me if out who did this because when I do.. (Laughs) I’M GOING TO MAKE SURE HE OR SHE SUFFERS A LIFETIME OF PAIN AND SUFFERING……

After that, Rose went into her room muttering curses and insults.. Esther who was scared and surprised by the whole thing by the whole thing began to ask questions.

Esther Man.. That your sister.. She’s the devil herself.. What’s she talking about?

Christen Believe me.. I have no idea..
