“Told ya I couldn’t the first time we met”, Loki replied casually, completely undaunted by the fact that he had just insulted the Fire Princess. “Any way, I always speak the truth. She is rather Pissy isn’t she?”
Well now, there was no way Kate could dispute that claim.

“What was that name again?” Kate aske as they stepped into her room, she truring around to ensure the door was shut behind her before turning back to Loki “Something the Third? No wait, don’t answer that. I don’t even know where you got that name from”.

Loki smiled that impish grin again as he sat himself on the edge of Kate’s bed. “Pretty hot, huh?”

Kate rolled her eyes, but shook her head with a smile nonetheless. “I bet you can’t say it again”.

Loki immediately perked up at that “Oooh, a challenge?”

But before either of them could say anything else, there was a sudden knock at Kate’s door and they both fell silent. They shared a look, Kate’s filled with trepidation while Loki simply looked interested.

“Who is it?” Kate asked warily.

“Lady Kate!” Thank goodness it was Laura. “I must speak with you for a moment”.

Kate’s momentarily relief quickly gave way to concern as she opened the door to allow Laura to enter. “What’s wrong?” she asked as she ushered Laura into the her room.

Levi was, of course, with her. However, the very second his gaze landed on Loki, he frowned and sent him a hard, if exasperated look. “What did you do, Moron?” he immediately accused. “Some of the guards seem to be after you”.

“Oh, that was just a misunderstanding”, Kate replied quickly, trying to downplay the seriousness of the matter. “You know the Fire Princess”.

Levi didn’t look all that convinced, but he knew the Fire Princess ‘temper’ well, so anything was possible. “I guess”.

“Aw, Slowpoke”, Loki piped up, getting up off the bed to give Levi a playful poke on his cheek. “You seem to pop up everywhere I go. Do you have a crush on me? How cute!”

And, of course, Levi immediately bristled. “I dare you to say that again!”
“What part?” Loki asked as he looke somewhat confused. “The Slowpoke or that you have a crush on me?”

“I do NOT have a crush on you and I am NOT a Slowpoke!”

Loki just loved goading a reaction out of Levi “Let’s see you prove it”.

“I should arrest you myself”, Levi ground out through his teeth.

“Um, could you not”, Kate stepped in.

“If some guards are after Loki for whatever reason the Fire Princess wishes, perhaps it would be best if he hides out a moment”, Laura suggested. Even though she was aware of what had happned, she wanted to help.

Anyone who earned the Princess ‘Ire’ need all the help they could get.

“Keep a low profile, huh”. Levi murmured before glancing warily at Loki. “Think you can handle that, Idiot?”

“If you show me a secret way out than I can”, Loki said.

Levi looked hesitant and shared a look with Laura. Laura silently shrugged and Levi sighed deeply and with a sense of exasperation. “Fine. But only because Lady Kate has taken a liken to you for whatever reason”.

“Yay!!” Loki cheered as he and Levi headed towards the door of Kate’s room.

“God, you’re such a Moron”, was Levi last words before the door fell shut behind them, leaving Kate and Laura alone to share a look of amusement between them.

“Loki can’t seem to help himself, can he?” Kate commented.

Laura smiled warmly. “At least he keeps Levi on his toes, right?”

“I guess”, Kate said fondly before she turned to give Laura her full attention, wondering what it was that Laura urgently needed to speak with her about. “Um, so what’s the matter?”

“Oh, yes, that’s right”, Laura said as she remembered what brought her to Kate’s room in the first place. “You will never guess what Princess Kira is trying to do now”.

Kate knew that Kira was up to something when she saw her at the Fire Temple.

“What is it?”
