Principal:” We can resolve this issue now, it is a small something. ” he said as he was now in our class, Miss Linda had informed him that Sandra was the culprit.

Miss Linda:” We can’t resolve anything sir, she must be given the punishment she deserves” she shouted.

Principal:” Linda but you know how her dad has been so good to us, and besides you have no say in this” He said again while Miss Linda eyed him.

Miss Linda:” And so? She must be punished like others.” She said while I smiled .

Mrs Jagun:” its the school choice to decide of to punish or n…” She tried interrupting.

Miss Linda:” Oh, keep shut ma, no one called you into this” she interrupted.

Mrs Jagun:” Linda are you referring to me?” She asked surprised.

Miss Linda:” Ma, remember that I was in this school before you came, as a matter of fact, I was among those that interviewed you before you were employed here ” She said. I never even knew that, so Mrs Linda actually came before Mrs Jagun?

Mrs Jagun:” And so? You….”

Sandra:” Don’t worry, my dad will come tomorrow, all of you that did this will surely pay.”

Mrs Jagun:” Yes let him come, the recorders were not even found with her.” She said smiling.

Miss Linda:” Oh, you want to call your dad, we shall see tomorrow.” She said and went out.

Mrs Jagun:” I shall be expecting Dr. Adegboye tomorrow ” she said to Sandra smiling and then went out.

Principal:” Sandra we are very sorry…”

Sandra:” please just leave me alone sir.” She said and came back to seat. ” whoa, this Is real, confirm corruption” I thought to myself as I pondered on the next line of action since the first one wasn’t going as planned.

====> The closing bell soon came, I ran to the school field with my bag, I went as soon as the bell came, to some people they thought I was going for the after school training. I went under the log, took the recorders and went outside the school back gate to wait for Charles and Akpan. Charles soon showed up smiling happily.

Charles:” Gabi, I was able to get words from her mouth ” he said happily as he brought out the recorder from his pocket. He put it on and it came to life, Mrs Jagun voice came first.

Mrs Jagun:” Charles what do you want here, I didn’t send for you.”

Charles:” I came to tell you Ma that am not interested in implicating people again.”

Mrs Jagun:” Ha, ha, ha,ha, so because you heard that the recorders have been stolen, you think you are wise,Dont worry we will soon find them, and then you will be in trouble, Now get out” she told him.

Charles:” But ma, why do you so much love Sandra?”

Mrs Jagun:” I love her because, wait that recorder I gave you is still with you, give it back to me” she said.

Charles:” Ma, I can’t use it against you, have it ma”

Mrs Jagun:” I love Sandra because her Father is helping this School a lot, I won’t be wrong if I say he is the one building this school. Dont be surprised when you hear is now your proprietor, I mean her father, so you better start respecting Sandra now.” I heard her say from the recorder and I opened my mouth in amazement.

Charles: ” But Ma, how is that possible, Mr.green is the sole owner of th..”

Mrs Jagun:” Keep shut stupid boy, once the principal is able to get hands on the papers of he school, that is all. And then you will smell pepper.” She said.

Mrs Jagun:” Now get out!!”she barked.

Me:” Woooow,Charles you are good.”

Charles:” You are the best Man”.

Me:” OK here are the recorders , one of them might be yours.” I told him.

Charles: ” Let’s just dispose everything, I might not be the only one in need of help.” He said and I nodded.

Me:” Charles, dont you miss your mom?” I asked him while he smiled.

Charles:” I believe one day she will be alright and my uncle will bring her bag.” He said.

Akpan:”Oh am late, sorry I was arranging my note” he apologized as he came to us.

Me:” Let me go and be watching if someone is coming o” I said as I went to stay beside the gate while Charles played the audio for Akpan, by the end of everything, we were shaking hands and grinning happily.

====> Me:” Welcome Dad ” I greeted as he got down his car.

Dad:” My boy how are you?” He asked while I adjusted my glasses.

Me:” Am fine dad ”

Dad:” Yeah gab, I called Mrs Alex today o ” he started, ” I even spoke with Joy” he said while I opened my mouth in surprise.

Me:” Dad you can’t be serious”

Dad:” Of course, am not serious, I was only lying ” he said laughing a he walked into the parlour.

Mom:” Welcome honey” she greeted as she hugged him.

Dad:” my girl is looking cool this evening ” he said while she smiled.

Dad:” Anytime you hug me like this after work, I know you haven’t cooked.”

Mom:” Am about going to cook when you came” she said as my dad walked in.

Dad:” Be fast love, am dying of hunger.” He said smiling .

I went very early to school this Tuesday, I wanted to watch as the drama unfolds itself.

To my surprise I wasn’t the only one that was early, so many other students had the same thing in mind. The assembly bell soon came and I was also among the first 10 people on the assembly ground. We only sang for some minutes and then the principal came up, he was with another man , according to my instinct it was Sandra Father and surprisedly I was right. He was wearing a white flowing gown and he was looking proud.

Principal: ” It will be wrong to bit the hand that fed us, let me introduce to you Dr. Adegboye Williams,the man who has been supporting this school from the beginning, without him, this school won’t be as it is now. ” he said while the man climbed up the platform, Sandra was smiling all through.

Miss Linda:” This is the height of corruption” she said silently beside me.

Me:” We can’t stop them ” I replied but she just laughed.

Miss Linda:” Dont worry, I have called the proprietor, he is probably on his way here.” She said while I smiled broadly. Thank God he is coming back.

Dr.Adegboye:” I had contributed so much to the development of this school, and the best some of you could do is to plant exhibit in my angel’s bag” he was saying as he pointed to Sandra who was smiling. ” What about when she planted exhibit in someone else’s bag?” I thought within me.

Dr.Adegboye:” It wouldn’t be a wrong saying if I say I have contributed more to this school even than the proprietor ” he continued, just then the gate opened and the proprietor’s car drove in. Everyone’s turned to him and Dr.Adegboye stopped talking.He alighted from his car and walked up the platform, Mrs Jagun and the principal were now even looking confused.

Proprietor: ” What is going on here?” He asked staring at Dr. Adegboye who also stared back confused.

Proprietor: ” Mrs Linda called and informed me about a student who stole something and that you guys Dont want to punish her, why?” he said looking at the principal.

Principal:” Sir we want to punish her but here is her dad begging us” he lied while the student all shouted.

Dr. Adegboye:” Mr. Principal, what did I just hear you say? That I am begging you? ” he asked he then turned to the proprietor.

Dr. Adegboye:” Mr man, I am chief Doctor Adegboye, I am the reason behind the massive structure of this your so called school.” He said while the proprietor looked at the principal confused.

Miss Linda:” They had been embezzling your money sir, they embezzle your money and turn to this man for help” she said pointing at Mrs Jagun and the principal while the proprietor smiled.

Proprietor: ” That’s nice, whoa, so sir you have been the main cause of corruption in my school, by the way, who is this your daughter?” He asked.

Dr.Adegboye:” My one and only Angel, Sandra” he said pointing to Sandra.

Proprietor:” oh she is the thief? I remember a student has told me about this Sandra before, yes you. ” he said pointing at me while I nodded.

Proprietor: ” Now I believe you. Dont worry everything will end today” He said again.

Me:” One more evidence sir” I shouted as the crowd turned to me.

Proprietor: ” Yes, bring it.” He said while I walked over to Charles and collected the recorder from him. I climbed the platform and gave it to the proprietor.

Me:” please listen to it sir” I said silently to him before walking back to my line.

Miss Linda:”What is the content?” She asked me smiling.

Me:”its a surprise ma”

Proprietor:” Go to the music room and get me that audio speaker.” He ordered while I ran along to get it, I came back some minutes later with it. The principal inserted the plug from the speaker to the recorder and then Mrs Jagun’s and Charles came to life.

Proprietor:” whoaa, fantastic.” He said

Proprietor: ” Mr man, take your daughter and never come back here again” he said angrily.

Dr Adegboye:” Impossible, not with all the money I have spent. I have spent over a 10 million naira on this school ” he said, just then the gate opened and my dad’s car drove in, yes I knew it was my dad own because of the customized car plate which has the inscription “DA DOC.” ” What is he doing here?” I asked myself as his car stopped just at the back of the crowd, everyone turned to the car. The back door of the car opened and a man came out from it alongside a woman.

Charles:” Unbelievable, my Mom” He shouted as he ran towards the woman who was also running to him. I also walked to my dad as he came out from the driver’s seat.

Me:” Dad what are you doing here?” I asked him while he smiled.

Dad:” Hey boy, this is the woman I had been treating, the woman that made your mom almost kill me, the one I went to get the antibodies from a horse for. She said she wanted to see her son and her brother told us he schooled here, I then decided to bring them so that you might confirm that I wasn’t lying to you mom and to also see you. ” He said while I smiled happily.

Cynthia:” Daddy ” she shouted as she jumped on him.

Dad:” My angel” he said smiling.

Dad:” Mr. Williams” he said as he rose his head up to the platform, he pushed my sister slightly away and walked to where Dr.Adegboye was standing, Sandra’s dad was now was now sweating profusely.
