Secondary - Season 1 - Episode 17

Principal:” Linda, what in God’s name do you think you are doing? ”

Miss Linda:
” Am trying to discipline this spoilt brat sir”

Principal:
” Shut up, do you know what will happen if this girl you call spoilt brat report this to her parent?” He asked Miss Linda with a blood shot eye.

Miss Linda:
” Sir it’s not about her parent, its about the imag…..”

Mrs Jagun:” Which foolish image? Her parent brought this school to this point, they made this school what it is today, they are the image of the school, without them the school is nothing” Mrs Jagun interrupted.

Miss Linda:” Mrs Jagun, the school was standing before she came into it, and it will still stand if she leaves. I wonder what morals you Mrs Jagun is trying to impact into this children.” Miss Linda concluded and walked out with a hiss. The principal, Mrs Jagun and the other teachers stood dumbfounded.

Principal:” Now all of you to your seats, Sandra please come to my office, am really sorry for this” he said as he drew Sandra gently with him, Mrs Jagun followed and then the rest while we the students took our positions. I was surprised, I thought it was going to be my last day at school but it turned out not to be, the principal himself did not even have my time, ” Maybe because am a new student” I thought. I gently sat down on my seat, thoughts of all that had happened in my short stay in this school quickly ran through my mind, it had been really bad for me. This will be my first time of loving a girl and I never knew it would bring trouble, I never knew to love was a sin.

Joy:
” Am sorry” she said bringing me back to reality, I must have been so deep in my thoughts that I didn’t even realized she was sitting beside me, Sandra’s side. I took a look at her eyes and noticed it was red.

Me:
” Have you been crying?” I asked her but she nodded the negative, of course I knew she was lying.

Me:
” Why were you crying? “I pressed forward but rather than giving me a reply, I saw tears coming down her eyes.

Me:
” Please stop this, we are in class, I won’t want anyone to know you are crying” I was now holding her hands, it was an emotional moment. She brought out the handkerchief I had given some days ago and she dried her eyes with it.

Joy:
”Gabi, its worth crying for, seeing you go through pains because of me is worth crying for” she said as she struggled to hold back the tears that was also struggling to come out her eyes.

Me:
” Am not feeling any pain Joy, I have not gone through any pain” I replied her while she let out a false smile.

Joy:
” OK, let me go to my desk now before she comes” she said referring to Sandra who was still in the principal office. I agreed with her as she stood up to go but I held her hands back.

Me:
” Promise me you won’t cry again, you Dont look like the Angel you are when you cry” I told her trying my best to force out a smile and she also laughed.

Joy:
” I promise not to cry if there is no cause to cry”

Me:
”Hmmm, there won’t be” I said and released her hand while she walked majestically swaying those killer waist to her sit.
_______________
Mrs Jones:
” Now I will be picking representatives for the debate but I won’t do that on my own, I need you guys to hold a local debate here in class first. From the local debate, I would pick my class representatives.” Mrs Jones is our class teacher, she rarely stays in class, she loves to stay in the staff room. She only came to choose the representatives of our class partaining the upcoming debate, I thought she would just select us randomly but now she want a test first to be able to pick the right people.

Mrs Jones:
” Now i will make it easy for you guys, we have three rows in this class, each rows has a front seat, now those individuals on the front seat are going to be the representatives of their row. Am going to pick from them at the end of the local debate. Now if you are on the front row and you are not interested in the debate please signify now” she said. I wasn’t good in debate and even if I was, I wasn’t in the right frame of mind to participate in any thing at the moment. So to save my self future embarrassment, I rose up my hands to show I was not interested in the debate.

Mrs Jones:
”Hmm, Gabriel, our new boy, you are not interested, OK please move to a seat at the back let anybody that is interested occupy yours for now” she said while I passed Sandra and vacated the seat. I headed to a free one at the extreme back.

Mrs Jones:
” You are not interested in debate, but interested in fighting for one useless girl, I wonder your aim in life” she said after me while I stopped and looked back at her, I adjusted my glasses.
