Me:”Of course I know who playboys are, they are guys that use and dump girls” I said while she laughed out loud.



Eunice:” No, they are not guys that use and dump girls bro, they are guys that pretend to love a girl while in reality they gat nothing for them. They only pretend to them to fool them. Its not about using the girls, real guys Dont use girls” she explained while I removed my glasses and opened my hands to signify what else.



Me:”How does that have to do with my own problem? Am telling you about my love for Joy and how Mrs Jagun and Sandra are trying to frustrate me and you are educating me about playboys” I said hissing as I stretched myself on the bed.



Eunice:” Why Dont you play Sandra?” She asked while I stood up from my bed in shock but she wasnt done.


Eunice:”From the look of things, Sandra what you due to her selfish interest and since her parents control the school, she can get you into troubles. So you have to free yourself from troubles by loving her which I know you Dont want to, so you have to play her or you get in trouble” she said as she got up also but I held her back.


Me:”Are you sure I won’t fall for her?” I asked


Eunice:”Gab, if you really love joy and want her, no other girl will interest you. Gabriel, make sure you Dont fall for Sandra”


Me:” I never said am doing the playboy stuff”


Eunice:”Hmm Gabriel, you see….”


Desmond:” Sister Eunice, mom say you should make me more golden morn” he interrupted her as he barged into my room and dropped his plastic plate on Eunice laps.


Eunice:”OK” she said as she took the plate and went out not without giving me a funny look.


I la!d down on my bed stretching myself again. I thought of Eunice words and I just laughed, I can’t act a playboy. I took my phone from beneath my pillow and there was no missed calls, so Joy actually mean this?. I logged into Facebook and saw I had a message from her, I quickly opened it. “Hy gabi, how far my guy” she sent, she had been active four minutes ago. I replied it hoping she would come online again and true to my thought, she became active after my message was delivered.



Joy:”Am good o, I missed you today”


Me:”Missed fire” I replied her


Joy:”Why did you say that?”

Me:”Nothing, just my way of joking with you”

Joy:” I know what you mean, am not a small girl Gabriel. Yeah I meant every thing I said today but I also know I can’t live without you, I love you gabi but I believe in the future, I would forever love you bro but maybe the atmosphere is not yet right.” She sent the long message which I have been longing for. I read the message and didn’t know if it was meant to make me happy or sad, I tried composing a good message to send but I ended up replying her with “OK”. We changed our discussions to other matters which I wasn’t interested in, I was like a heartbroken guy and I just needed to rest my mind. I sent her goodnight and brought out my notes from my school bag to quickly revise the day’s note but I found it difficult to understand which was unlike me. I finally closed my book and la!d down on my bed again while the thought of being a playboy came flowing through my head again. ” Won’t I hurt joy?”, “Won’t she lose interest in me?” I asked myself those questions but got no answers, mother nature finally took it turn on me and I slept off.


The next morning was like any other one, I was a little bit relieved when I woke up. I checked the clock in my room at it was 5:15am. I got up and dressed my bed before heading to the sitting room. Eunice was there watching some kind of India movie.



Me:” Good morning sis” I greeted.


Eunice:” Good morning my sweet bro, how was your night?”


Me:” Have finally decided to do the playboy stuff” I said ignoring her question.


Eunice:” In as much as it a good plan, I won’t want you to fall for Sandra.” She said smiling.


Me:” I won’t” I replied waving it off with my hands and smiling, the smile quickly faded away as I asked myself the question again ” won’t I fall for Sandra?” .

Me:” What of joy, won’t she leave me?”

Eunice:” She won’t if she truly loves you bro.” My sis replied while she stood up and headed for the kitchen but stopped holding the curtain leading to the dining.


Eunice:” I am preparing rice for you guys, I hope you won’t say you aren’t eating this morning? And please go and wake Cynthia up, she would sleep on like that if no one wakes her up” she said while she finally went to the kitchen.
I stood up and stretched myself before going to wake Cynthia who was still snoring loudly.

I wore my glasses which means I was done with my dressing up for school, I opened my note again and tried reading some things. I read for like 30 minutes and closed the book when I was satisfied that I gained something. I looked around my room to make sure I did not forget anything, I finally took my phone from my table, silenced it and placed it under my pillow before finally leaving the room, i ran back when I remembered I had not powdered my face, I did so and looked at the mirror before leaving the room again to eat my food. My sister was already done with her’s and was now waiting for me, I rushed the food quickly and pushed it down with a cup of water before finally hugging Eunice and my mom which signified I was leaving for school.


I was now a bit cool. I was determined to make Sandra regret this. “. She want me? Now she gets me” I said In low tone as I entered the school gate and walked to my class. I adjusted my glasses again before entering the class.


Sandra:” Hey Gabriel, good morning” she greeted as she held my hand with a doubtful face covered with a smile.


Me:” Good morning dearest” I replied caressing her cheeks not minding who heard although I knew I was audible enough for the whole class to hear. I looked up and saw joy staring at me from her desk, I never knew she was already in class. I could see water swelling in her eyes which she quickly averted when she caught my eyes, ” I knew this was not a good plan” I thought as I placed my hands around Sandra waist and went to sit down.
