DESPERATE PLIGHT (Travails Of a hero ) - Season 2 - Episode 3

MR DAVIDSON’S RESIDENCE
{SITTING ROOM}
:
Thelma sat on the couch thinking of what had
happened earlier. She could tell her father was
still angry and had other plans up his sleeves
coz he refused speaking to her nor the mum
ever since they’d returned from the hospital.

Just then there was a knock on the door which
made her startled.

“Come right in, the door isn’t locked,” she said
out loud. Then the door opened and Raymond
walked in looking really pissed off.

Thelma’s joy knew no bounds as she set her
eyes on Raymond. All she needed at the
moment was a hot s-x to calm her nerves, and
that explained her happiness coz she had
planned on visiting Raymond but unfortunately,
her plans were dashed and joy thrown into the
mud as she got up to hug Raymond and he
stopped her with a wave of hand.

“Baby! Is everything all right?” Thelma asked.

“No!” Raymond said in anger. “What’s your
connection with Richard that you had the
daring guts to point the gun at your father
because of him?” he asked as he swing his car
key with the right hand while the left hand was
still inside his trouser pocket.

Thelma giggled and clapped her hands in
amazement, “So, that’s the only thing that
brought you to my house right?” she asked and
placed her hands on her waist.

“Yes!” came the reply.

Thelma laughed some more, then removed her
hands from her waist and wrapped it around
Raymond’s and pecked him lightly on the
cheek, “You know I love you so much right?”
“And how does that answer my question?”
Raymond blurted.

“Oh yes it does answer your question coz
Thelma can never cheat on you,” she smiled.

“What if there’s another Thelma?”

“No other Thelma can be like your Thelma.”
That got Raymond and made him smile, “I
believe you, so do you mind if I say you owe
me an explanation?”

“Of coz darling, I will explain everything, just
carry me in your arms to the garden,” she said
and bent backwards a little while Raymond
grinned widely and carried her up, then walked
outside and headed towards the rear where the
garden was located…

RICHARD’S RESIDENCE
(BEDROOM)
:
Richard couldn’t sleep a wink as he sat on the
sofa in the room and thought about everything
that had happened. He glanced at his wife who
lay peacefully on the bed and then to the
beside clock, the time read 8:45pm. His wife
and children were never in the habit of sleeping
early except it was on a saturday and that day
was a saturday, so they had slept early
because the next day being sunday, they all
would be in church but Richard doubted if he
would join them in church.

Then he cast his mind back to Thelma as the
scene she had placed the gun on her father
and smiled. He thought of the urge he had at
that moment to hold Mr Davidson on the colar
and strangle him to death but Thelma’s
presence prevented him.

He then sighed and stood up and began
pacing round the room, “That man has bitten
more than he can chew,” he thought to
himself. “I will be prepared henceforth and the
next time he confronts me again, he would be
a dead man,” he said aloud and hit his fist on
the wall…

TEGA’S RESIDENCE
(BEDROOM)
:
Tega could be seen throwing cloths into his
box while Lucy, who still had a bandage on her
head kept staring at him, wondering what he
was up to.

After minutes of silence, he finished putting the
cloths and closed the box, then walked to the
wardrobe and carried Lucy’s own to the bed.

“Tega,” Lucy called softly and stood up, the
moved closer to him and held his arm. “Why
packing and where are we goin?” she asked
calmly.

“An hotel,” Tega replied.

“To do what?”

“To lodge there of coz.”

Lucy was surprised, “Why?” she wanted to
know.

“To be safe, we will be leaving for America by
monday morning, I will call my uncle tonight
and book a flight tomorrow,” Tega explained
and began throwing cloths into the box.

Lucy sighed deeply and sat back on the bed,
“How will we defeat Mr Davidson by going to
America?”

Tega smiled and moved to sit beside her with
a top in his hand. Then he placed his right
hand across her shoulder, “Don’t worry, he will
be under our control once we are out of this
country.”

Lucy swallowed hard, “But Richard told me am
pregnant for him when he hid his wife’s and I
in the hospital’s store room, though he only
whispered into my ear and looked serious, I
don’t believe him and I can’t leave the country
now because if am truely pregnant, he will
need his child,” she said and looked at him to
watch his reaction.

After few seconds of silence, Tega spoke up,
“If its true, Richard will never have the child,”
he said seriously and stood up.

“What!” Lucy exclaimed and also stood up.

“Why?” she asked…
