DESPERATE PLIGHT (Travails Of a hero ) - Season 1 - Episode 20

GENERAL HOSPITAL
INSIDE THE WARD
:
Mike fell so hard on the bed and hit his head hard on the mattress and due to the fact that his head was bandaged and he was already in pains made him feel more pains and a throbbing headache.

“Speak up, young man,” the IG fired.

“I don’t have anything to say,” Mike said in a calm voice.

Jane stood up, “This fool here, he also tried raping me twice.”

“This is unbelievable, trying to rape a married woman! He needs to be detained, officers take him away,” the IG ordered, then turned to Jane again, “Worry not ma, he and his accomplice will be brought to book, for now lets go to my house so you can take your children home,” he smiled, turned and walked out.

Jane heaved a sigh of relief and felt very happy that she’s going to see her children again. Then she also walked out of the ward and joined the IG and policemen that were dragging Mike and his accomplice to the police van…

MR DAVIDSON’S RESIDENCE
:
Mr Davidson, Thelma’s father, felt very happy as he sat beside his wife in his garden, sipping slowly from a glass of wine. He had received the news that his daughter will be back in two days. Though he felt a bit sad that they’d lost the battle but it didn’t really matter so far as his daughter was still alive.

“Honey!” the wife called.

“Yea baby!”

“I feel very happy and excited. It’s almost like a year,” she smiled.

“Yes!” the husband said. “Now you will see your daughter so you let me drink water in piece,” he smiled too while the wife giggled, stretched out and kissed him lightly on the lips…

FAST FORWARD
THREE DAYS LATER, RAYMOND’S RESIDENCE
:
Raymond felt he was going to jump out of his skin with so much excitement. Thelma had got back from the camp the previous day and even though he had gone over to her parents house to welcome her back, they couldn’t get the chance to talk and she had promised to visit him. He kept whistling happily as he brought out wine and glasses to the sitting room…

MINUTES LATER
:
The door bell rang and Raymond rushed to the door and opened it. Thelma stood smiling at him, she looked so beautiful in her blue jean high-waist trouser and pink crop top, with a black low heeled shoes to match. Unlike her, she didnt apply make up on her face and didn’t carry a huge handbag. She only held a little purse which probably contained some money and her phone.

Raymond quickly carried her up inside the house and pushed the door closed with his legs. “Baby! I missed you so much that I felt I was going crazy,” he breath as he dropped her on the long couch and bent over her.

Thelma smiled, “I missed you more sweetheart. There are so many things we need to discuss about but that will be after we’ve done three or four rounds,” she said with a naughty smile.

“Oh! I’m almost scared now coz I might need more than four rounds,” Raymond laughed.

“Yes! Atleast though I was wounded in the leg, it doesn’t really matter cos the pains are now less,” Thelma said and wrapped her arms around his neck.

“Oh God! You were wounded in…” Raymond couldn’t complete his statement as Thelma covered his lips with hers and soon they were locked in a fierce passionate hungry kiss…

RICHARD’S RESIDENCE
:
Richard sat on the couch that bright friday morning thinking deeply. He had returned home the previous day after spending five extra days in the hospital for treatment but yet his wife and children had completely ignored him and the only people that tried giving him a warm welcome were his parents.

And now that morning, his wife and children still ignored him throughout breakfast and didn’t even say goodbye when the wife had taken them off to school. He had even tried bringing up a conversation but the children wouldn’t talk to him…

Just then, the front door opened and Jane walked in with a file in her hand. “Here!” she said sharply and threw the file at him, then stood with folded arms, waiting for him to talk.

Richard slowly picked up the file and opened it, “Divorce papers!” he exclaimed in shock and stood up.

Jane gave a short laugh and asked, “Are you surprised?”

“Why Jane but you are my wife and I love you,” Richard said as his eyes misted.

“Love!” Jane repeated. “Love fire. When you left for the camp, did you ever call me for even two minutes atleast just to know how your children were coping and I’m sure you heard they had been kidnapped but yet you never still cared,” she said as her eyes also misted.

Richard swallowed hard, “But Jane, those aren’t enough reasons for us to divorce, besides you should listen to my own side of story first before jumping into conclusion.”

“Yea that’s not enough reason. I had decided to forgive you but I can’t now coz I will never be able to share you with someone else,” Jane said and broke down in tears. Richard was surprise. No one knew about his plan with Lucy except Tega so how did Jane find out…
