DESPERATE PLIGHT (Travails Of a hero ) - Season 1 - Episode 16

INSIDE THE FOREST

Tega stared at them and suddenly bursted into laughter which surprised Richard and the soldiers a great deal. “Do you really think you can fight me?” he asked with a confident smile plastered on his face as he faced Richard to show the question was for him.

“Yes!” Richard replied sharply as he put his hand in his trouser pockets.

While they talked, Thelma kept smiling painfully on the tree she was tied to. She just couldn’t wait to watch Tega die. “Untie me please!” she said out aloud.

Richard turned to her and smiled. Then gestured at one of the soldiers who quickly ran to untie her.

Thelma walked up to Tega, smiling happily. She looked a bit strong, maybe because she had rescuers. “Tega!” she called as she paved way and stood before him.

Tega looked up to face her but got a thunderous slap instead. “What nonsense!” he shouted while his men who were five in number quickly stood up and drew their swords, walked up to where Richard and others were, everly ready for a fight.

“Deal with them!” Tega shouted. “Make sure none of them leaves here alive,” he added but unknowingly to him, Richard had a tracking device in his pocket which meant help wasn’t far from them..

Then the fight began and Richard with his wonded arm, drew out two daggers from his back pocket and within a twinkle of an eye stabbed one of Tega’s men deep in the stomach. Soon a fierce fight began. Tega’s men seemed strong but Richard and the soldiers were determined.

Thelma who had no weapon had to use the sword of one of Tega’s men who Richard had stabbed to death.

They began fighting very hard. A fight between daggers and swords…

The car that Ella and Emmy were in pulled to a stop right infront of a two storey building that was located at a hidden area. Then the men got out of the car and each of them carried the children inside.
:
INSIDE THE HOUSE
:
Mike was called and he arrived minutes later.
“How are they feeling?” Mike asked immediately he entered the house.

“Fine!” one of the men answered. “They both made so much noise inside the car and we had to silence them, they’ll be unconscious for just an hour,” he concluded.

“Good, just make sure they eat something once they are concious coz I don’t want them to suffer. I’ll leave now,” Mike said, handed them some money and left the house…

RICHARD’S RESIDENCE
TIME CHECKED- 8:05pm
:
Jane paced to and fro the sitting room looking very worried. She kept trying her parents inlaws house but none was going through.

“Oh God! Where are my children?” she asked rhetorically. “Something isn’t right, they should have been back by now, I need to find them,” she thought. Then she picked up her car key from the centre table and without caring to change from her nightie to something better, she rushed and opened the door but unfortunately collided with Mike on the varenda.

“Mike! What are you doing here, you disgusting demon,” Jane barked furiously in anger.

Mike ignored her outbursts and giggled.
Jane felt irritated, “Will you speak up or get out of my sight now,” she shouted.
Mike cleared his throat and spoke up, “If I were you, I would keep calm and listen especially when its a matter that concerns your children,” he said with his hands in his pockets.

“My children!” Jane exclaimed but Mike just smiled, pushed her gently out of the way and walked into the house which door was already opened.

Jane stood and stared at him for few seconds, and since she had no choice, followed her into the house.

When she got in, Mike was already seated. “Mike! Where are my children?” she inquired in annoyance.

Mike stood up from where he sat and walked up to her. Standing infront of her, he reached out and touched her cheeks,
romantically. “You will have them back safely if you cooperate.”

“Cooperate and do what?” Jane asked as he carressed her cheeks.

“Just a night miss and I promise never to disturb you again.”

“Get your dirty hands off me, you fool,” Jane shouted and pushed him away.

Mike staggered and gave a short laugh, “Cooperate or I order your childrens death now…”
