DESPERATE PLIGHT (Travails Of a hero ) - Season 1 - Episode 15

Thelma’s eyes immediately widened in shock as she heard the word ‘die’ but decided to brace up and not let her fears known. “I don’t deserve to die because Lucy also wanted me dead,” she said, trying very hard to sound brave.

Tega walked up to her and stood before her in a way that their faces were few inches away from hers. Then he reached out and held her jaw and spoke directly to her face, “What did you think? That could defy my orders with impunity?” he questioned through gritted teeth.

“I am not afraid of you Tega,” Thelma said defiantly. “Kill me if you dim it fit.”

Tega smiled, “I love your courage, my strong woman of Africa.” Then he released her face almost reluctantly and brought out a gun and dagger from the back of his trouser pockets. Showing them to her, he said, “To slit your throat with this dagger and to blow your brains out with this gun, make a choice.”

Thelma didn’t say a word but instead beckoned on him to come more closer to her which he obligued and before one could say JACK ROBINSON, Thelma coughed and spat out the liquid which wasa mixture of blood and thick pus, on his face.

“S--t!” Tega cursed as he quickly brought out a hand towel from his pocket and mopped up the liquid while Thelma smiled satisfactorily.

Tega grunted and threw away the hand towel, then he dropped the dagger, cocked the gun and pointed the nossle directly on Thelma’s forehead. “Your last words!” he ordered but Thelma ignored him and kept praying for a miracle to happen.

After few seconds of silence, Tega impatiently pressed the nossle of the gun tight on her forehead but as he was about to pull the trigger, a voice shouted ‘Don’t you dare’ and he quickly turned round to face the intruder.

Richard and the remaining soldiers he had walked with insearch of Lucy walked up to Tega and surrounded him.

Richard stepped forward and stood face to face with him. “We are here to complete the fight and to put an end to all of this,” he said as his nose posed up and down in confidence…

MIKE’S RESIDENCE
SITTING ROOM

Mike sat on the sofa in his sitting room as he remembered what Jane had done earlier to him and decided to have his revenge. He made a few calls and gave out orders, then stood up, picked his car key from the centre table and left the house with great determination…

EMERALD BOULEVARD

The sky was full of twinkling stars as the moon shone brightly on the surface of the earth.
Ella and Emmy were walking hand in hand as they were on their way home from their grandparents house. Everywhere was so quite amd dark, their grandmother had pleaded with them to stay the night but they had insisted on going home since the house wasn’t faraway.
Minutes later, a black SUV rode fast past them and stopped at a distance, then two bloody looking men with huge statues came out of the car and before Ella and Emmy could shout for help, they were bundled by the men and put into the car…

MINUTES LATER
INSIDE THE CAR

Emmy was already crying bitterly while Ella tried to be brave.

“Where are you taking us to?” she demanded for the umpteenth time. “Let us go,” she spat out.

“Shut up!” one of the men chided and narrowed his eyes at her, “Don’t make any more sound.”

Ella snorted, “I demand to know, I might still be a child but am very strong. Where are you taking us to?”

“For the very last time, shut your mouth!” the man warned again.

The feeling of rage and fear burning within Ella was intense and it intensified as the man kept rebuking her. She had never seen them before but her instints told her they were bad men. “Let us go back to our mother,” she said again. She knew she had outrightly defied their others but she wouldn’t just sit there and do nothing. So she began to scream while Emmy cried louder.

“Where are you taking us to? Help! Help!! Help!!!,” she screamed in fear and started hitting the men hard inside the car. The men ignored her and made furtive gestures at each other.

“Take us back to our mother, bad people,” Ella kept on shouting and shaking violently inside the car.

The men felt they had enough. So one of them brought out a shringe that was filled up with yellowish stuff and before Ella or Emmy knew what was happening, they were injected and seconds later they passed out…
