Drez looked at the damsel sleeping on his bed and sighed. She was a beauty indeed, she was fair to look on. He smiled to himself, it was not easy getting blood out of her hair and body, he touched her swollen face and winced, even with that she was still beautiful. The swelling could reduce in a day or two but he couldn’t say about her head, it was really bad. He shook his head, it would take weeks before the bandage could be removed. He wondered what a damsel like her was doing in Royal ghetto late at night, she looked decent to him. He smiled.

“Everyone with their problems. It seems I have a penchant for saving beautiful ladies.”
He stood and left.

Drez Kings was a tall muscular man in his thirties, he was an architect and was very popular both in the Royal Estate and in the Royal ghetto, both were his home. He was well established and very rich. At thirty one he had his own house and cars, he was every ladies dream and at the same time their nightmare. He was very handsome and he knew it, he was a friend of all, he gave wholeheartedly to everyone. He was the hero of Royal ghetto even though he lived in the Royal Estate.

Drez’s only flaw was women, they were always at loggerheads over him but he never seemed to care, he had them tripping for him but he was never satisfied, he told his friend that he had not gotten the right one to fill him and until then he won’t settle down. To him, ladies were like fruits, you won’t get the one with the right taste until you taste to see which is ripe.

Diline groaned and held her head. She opened her eyes but quickly shut them because of the blinding light. She opened them slowly until her eyes adjusted to the light then she took in her surroundings. The room she was in was painted in white, everything in the room was in the colour white or silver, it was spacious but was obviously furnished to a man’s taste including the king sized bed she was lying on. She forced herself to sit, she checked the time decoratively hanging on the wall and realized it was still dawn. After few minutes, when she couldn’t remember what happened to her after she fainted and how she got to the bed, she decided to look for her saviour. She went from one place to another but she couldn’t find anyone. She opened the door adjacent to the room she slept in and realized it was the master’s bedroom. The room looked even more masculine than the one she was in, the bed was unmade so she guessed it must be for the owner of the house. After many futile attempts she decided to go back and wait.
