“Last time I checked, You told my mom you wanted to take me somewhere and not your house!”

” And my house is not somewhere? Drop it Tola, You don’t have a point” He said and got down. “Fine, you win” I surrendered and got down too. “Now what?” I asked, with my hands in the air before planting them on my hips.

” Close your eyes. I have a surprise for you” he said, smiling with his teeth.

They were white and transparent like a polished crystal glass used to serve champagne. Though there was a soup stain on one of his molars, it didn’t make them less appealing.

“What kind of surprise is that?”
“Damn! Stop being difficult young lady, just obey simple instructions. I have a surprise for you.” “Well, I hope this surprise is worth the stress and all” I said, closing my eyes. I felt him placing my arms over his shoulders as he led me to wherever his surprise was. “Open” he ordered.

I opened my eyes and beheld a very beautiful view. There was a fountain with water trickling from the mouth of a smiling dolphin.There was a beautiful well trimmed lawn, beside it was a beautifully cultivated garden. The garden landscaped into a maze of lofty hedgerows, shrubs of honeysU-Ckle and neat rows of yellow daises and red roses. The scent of the honeysU-Ckle was winning all over the atmosphere handily.I inhaled the sweet fragrance deeply into my lungs as I ventured to the edge of the garden, admiring every bit of it.

“Wow. This is beautiful” I squealed as I walked round the garden and took in the beautiful smell of it.

“The fountain is breathtaking” I added, smiling sweetly at the dolphin which appeared like it was smiling back at me too. “I didn’t see this when I was here the other day” I said. Noticing he was now walking behind me, I turned around to face him.

“Yes, this is a secluded part of my house.

I only come here to relax and think. I have only brought someone here once, that was when a friend of mine arrived from the states and he stayed here for two weeks.” He explained. I ran my fingers through my hair so I could tuck in the wavy strands.

“Wow. Good to hear, how long did it take you to have this?” I bawled out curiously. “Roughly a year” ” I wanted something perfect, the first horticulturist disappointed me so I had to start all over again with a new horticulturist who worked wonders with the empty space here before” he explained, thrusting his chin high.

“The fountain also stressed me out but I was determined to have something like this, close to what I had in the US” he added. I gave a sage nod and smiled.

“I really love this. It’s beautiful. Can I take a picture here?” I asked shyly. “Sure, why not.” He took a few shots of me and we ended up taking selfies together. The pictures were very nice though he slayed me in most of them. We went to the lawn side and sat on the green side.

Alex took my hands in his and shifted closer to me. I looked into his beautiful eyes and lingered there for what seemed like hours. He suddenly pushed me so that I was now resting on the grass. He pinned my hands and came on top of me, staring at me like a piece of cake he badly wanted to eat. He fanned my face with his breathe. Then he started closing up the gap between our faces. I shut my eyes as I waited for his lips on mine but opened them when I heard him mutter some words and rolled off me, It was like he was being held back by a force I couldn’t fathom.
