I came out like someone being chased, dried my body with the towel, put on my under wears and wore the gown. I did a light makeup that wouldn’t give me out as someone trying to impress. I wore a Unclad five inches stilettos and hung my clutch at the side of my arm. Satisfied with how I looked, I sprayed my Galivalley perfume and stepped out of my room.

As I came out, my eyes fell on his high sharp cheekbones and the adorable slope of his nose.
With the smooth tanned perfection of his skin, I wondered if this man before me wouldn’t be the death of me! He was looking so edible. Gosh!
“Evening. You look stunning” He spoke, snapping me out of my daze. My mom squealed and made a few indistinguishable giggle sounds.
I shyly batted my eyes which had eyeshadow that brought out the gold fleeks eyeliner on it.
I smiled as I looked at him from head to toe.

He was in a formal gray suit with blue tie. He had changed from the Black suit and red bow I saw him on at the bank. My breathe hitched and a giddy feeling ran through me when our eyes met and locked. I took deep breaths to steady myself and I slowly counted 1 to 5.

1…2… “Hmm.. My dear, she’s single o, single and marriageable. In fact she is a very very good wife materi…” My mom’s eyes glazed over and a love sick expression crossed her features like that of a teenage girl in love.

“Mommy! What’s that?” I snapped.

I really didn’t understand what she was trying to pass across but that lovesick look on her face as she moved her eyes from me to Alex and back to me made me sick.

“What. Let me talk o, leave me alone to say my own” my mom stuck her tongue out at me, thus cutting off my rant.

Alex smiled and winked at me.

What was with him and winks. “Lets go” I said and made my way out. He waved at my mom and followed suit, grinning from ear to ear.
His smile almost peeling his cheeks apart.

I felt embarrassed with what my mom said. Was she trying to sell me off to him or what? We arrived at 5 star hotel at Victoria Island by 9:05pm. He was so gentlemanly as he opened the door of the car for me and helped me get my feet on the floor. We walked into the hotel and was welcomed by a smiling receptionist.
