Must Read: My Missing Rib (The Stranger) - Season 1 - Episode 7

Darkness surrounded the small area occupied by Steve and others. Only the fire from each tent illuminated everywhere. Zeno sat in front of his tent watching Steve as he moved gently towards his twin daughters. Even Buboy couldn't take his eyes off him too. Stella and Thelma were actually eating roasted fish when Steve arrive before them, so they quit eating and stared at him. They could see his handsome face with beards by the ray of light from the fire.

"Hi" Steve said as he totally bent down. "I just want to make my own fire, so may i take part of yours?" he asked.

Thelma shook her head positively looking at him while Stella didn't say anything but just stared at him.

"Thank you" Steve grabbed a firewood squating totally. He glanced at the two identical twins again and looked at sir Zeno from the other end. "Is he your father?" he asked taking another look at Zeno but the two girls didn't respond.
Then Steve stood up with the burning firewood. He tried to move out but turned to them again just see them staring at him. "I'm sorry about your mother" he said and briskly walked out. The expression of amazement could be seen on the faces of Stella and Thelma after Steve left, so they stared at each other wondering how he knew about their mother's death.

"Who told the stranger about Mummy?" Stella
asked.

"I wanted to ask you the same thing" Thelma replied. "I guess Daddy did" she added.
Meanwhile, Stella had turned staring at Steve again which got Thelma worried. "Stella?" she called but there was no response. "Stella!" she shouted before Stella turned. "What has come over you?"

"What do you mean?" Stella began to eat again trying so hard not to look at her sister's face.

"I don't like the way you look at that stranger"
Thelma concluded but Stella never said a word again.

The fire brought and made by Steve was already burning as he sat around it with Buboy. He could see Buboy roasting a bush meat on it.

"You don't seem old as you are physically" Steve broke the silence but Buboy didn't say a word. "Are you also a South African?"

"Yes, but lives in Nigeria too, just like you" Buboy replied. "Even others are Nigerians except Zeno and his two daughters" he added.

Steve looked around again to see the few people he was talking about. "You mean those ones are from Nigeria too?" he asked pointing at them.

"Yes"

"That means there is a possibility that we are close to Nigeria!" Steve looked serious. "Yes, because our plane crashed few minutes we took off. We can still be within Nigeria!"

"Then how would you explain Zeno's case who came from South Africa?" Buboy asked.

Steve suddenly became quiet thinking critically.

"That's a good point there" he said...

Lawrence and her workers were in a partially building. The building looks more like a hospital but less a mutuary. One could see people lying flat on metal bed covered with white fabric as if they were dead. Some were dead while some half dead. One could see artificial oxygen being giving to some. Men in a doctor attire wearing white safe handgloves stood bedside each bed.
Suddenly, Lawrence came out wearing a doctor's cloth too. She was actually on a phone call. "..
what are you talking about" she asked on the phone.

"I said you broke the rules!" a male voice replied on the phone.

"What rules are you talking about?" Lawrence was still inquisitive.

"Why would you kill the woman?"

"fu-Ck you!" Lawrence exclaimed. "Now, listen to me, this is Africa, Nigeria precisely. So don't think you can fu-Ck with me anyhow! The family you sent to me from South Africa tried to escape and the woman died in the process. How de hell is that my fault?!"

"I never told you to put them in danger. I just told you to hold them captive until their ransom is paid"

"Then get the ransom and give me my share, period!" Lawrence cut the call. She brought out cigarette immediately and began smoke as she moved into a smaller room. Inside the room were severel television which only show what happens in the unknown land where Steve and others are. A man sat before the screens monitoring their movements.

"What are they doing?" Lawrence asked blowing out a smoke.

"They are only surrounding a fire and eating dinner" the man replied.

"Good" Lawrence walked out.

NIGERIAN POLICE STATION

A Senior police investigator stood inside his office with two hands behind him. On the wall of his office were pictures of those who were missing-the ones inside the unknown land except Steve, Zeno and his daughters. He walked closer looking at the pictures critically. "Where could they be?" he murmured. Just then his phone rang..

Steve was still thinking critically on why Zeno and his daughters were the only South Africans there and how Lawrence and her workers knew they were about to escape at the first time. He stood up and began to look around.

"Hey, what's it?" Buboy asked.

"I guess we are being monitored" Steve replied..
